Daytona Beach Regency by Diamond Resorts

Great location, wasn't happy with the construction going on right outside our room...

Having to pay a $300 security deposit just to end up in a room with a ridiculously unpleasant view was the start of something I wish I didn’t have to pay for. Didn’t sleep well though the bed was comfortable due to all the noise, sounding like a machine house was right next to the room window and dump trucks coming in and out. I woke up with a headache and my children were to afraid due to the noise to even sleep at all. Not something I want to experience again at all. We really should of had a better room than we did. For this to be a fine hotel it was not what I expected

Our stay was good and much needed little get away. There were a few things not mentioned but charged for after booking was made and then upon arrival confirmation was told room wouldn’t be ready till 6:00 pm or later when check in was 4:00 pm. Had a not soo pleasant person at that time and possibly the same one, when asking if we could be accommodated with a little later checkout on Sunday. Otherwise it was very nice and we had a good time.

My initial thought on this hotel was non satisfactory due to it not having a balcony like I was told and also not having a jacuzzi in the room where the picture shows but does but failed to indicate that the tub was a garden tub not a jacuzzi tub. Once I checked into our room I always check everything to make sure it is up to par. The bathroom was disgusting there was hair on the toilet and black stuff so I had to call the front desk to have someone to clean the bathroom also the trash had not been emptied. It rained the two days we stayed and I've noticed a dripping noise so I went to investigate and lo and behold there was a huge puddle on the windowsill where it was leaking inside. I had to call help desk to send maintenance down to in the morning to put towels down to stop the annoying dripping sound. Furthermore I was not reimbursed nor was I compensated for the lack of accommodation. They offered me snacks and a cheap bottle of champagne which day did not even have champagne glasses to drink out of I will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

The pros: great location, friendly staff, nice pool area with bar. Cons: dirty, stained, and worn out room.

Our room was infested with fleas and they did not have another room available until our last night there and the only refund we got was the resort fee for ONE night. We should have been refunded the rest of our stay so that we didn’t have to stay another night and get bit by fleas all night. Won’t be going back there.

Location can’t be beat. The one bedroom was nice and roomy enough for our family of four. Good pool and right on the beach. Nice place overall, would stay again.

On the website it did not say anything about being 21 until after we had already booked the room, was informed at the front desk that we would get a refund but never received it. Ended up having to get a hotel.

Good Experience. Great Location. Extended our stay here because we enjoyed it.
