Kings Hotel

We could not get two rooms next to each other even though we are a family of 5 with 3 young children. The phones were not working, the fire door did not close and window was broken. They also placed us in the basement and you were woken up by the kitchen from 6 am. The beds were awful and the breakfast was very poor. Overall i would NEVER recommend this hotel - way over priced!

A basic hotel in a great location. Comfortably clean and with friendly staff. Our triple room only had one chair and a small desk, so we had to eat breakfast perched on the beds.

Had the most amazing stay, room with a sea view was so worth it, service has been amazing nothing was too much trouble, most definitely stay again xx

I boikwd and paid for this trip with 2 people as my guests. I paid for my guests to find a bottle of prosecco in their room, as an extra thank you. Despite 2 phone calls and 2 emails...no wine waiting. The hotel have suggested they will hand over the wine as my guests eave or provide me with a refund. Shiuld have been a v simple thing to get right, amazed it was so complicated to request and then didnt happen....

Good price for seafront stay. Clean and comfortable. Windows old and dated with gap that let in breeze. Eating breakfast in room was tricky so had to balance plate on lap so do not think this was thought through properly. Lots of creaking floorboards but as previously stated, good price for good location.

Our first room was beneath path level, but anyone walking past would have direct access via steps down to our windows. We didn't feel safe so moved to another room which was very dated and the hair dryer wasn't working, therefore we needed to wait for maintenance to come and sort. Tip, I think sea view rooms are a must as seem to have received more love. Great location though Female staff on desk were lovely

We liked the location, friendly staff. We didn’t like the noisy floorboards we walked on and heard people walking on them in the room above. We couldn’t sleep while they moved about. They changed our room with a upgrade but the water didn’t go down in the shower and the room was cold with old windows they had. We heard the wind more because it had a glass roof in the middle. We did have a nice sea view.

Bad - tired hotel needs a refurbishment, noisy, lots of stag / hen dos, some staff not very welcoming Good - very clean, well done housekeeping
