I booked through Orbitz/Expedia. Upon arrival, I got confirmation to show the front desk. The receptionists said they don’t see anything registered under my name. They said I should not booked through a third party apps, but should book directly through them to avoid not having a room. They later found the booking, but still insisted on sending me toanother hotel which owned by the same owner at a distant location in Q1.
This was the 2nd time it happened. Last year, I was sent to another hotel for three nights. I refused to go, I called and spoke to Duy, one of the owners/managers who was kind enough and able to place me at the hotel I booked.
I don’t appreciate this kind of practice. If you book directly through them, you will get the room. If you go through third party apps, they try to make it difficult. Again, this is the 2nd time it happened.
To the hotel staff: please change the way you do business. Or, you will guests.
