Holiday Inn Express Charleston

From the time we got there until the time we let the service was good. The receptionist upfront was very nice and helpful when asked questions. She seemed to be the only one there every time I went up there day or night. The breakfast was pretty good for it having to be delivered daily. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable, we had no complaints.

My first impression wasn’t great, when I walked in the lobby it smelled very strong of marajauna. It made me uncomfortable. It’s a non smoking hotel so that didn’t sit well. My room was fine, mostly clean. My tub wouldn’t drain. All the ladies at the front desk were very nice, but after my lobby check in experience, I never really felt safe/comfortable.

Stayed for 4 nights. Perfect location on the main highway going to and from downtown. About 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Tons of food options on the same road. Free parking at the hotel with plenty of light. Never felt unsafe. There was a leak from the adjoining room that soaked our floor the first day, but it was handled very quickly. Room was nice and beds were comfy. The shower was a little tricky cutting on and off, and the pressure wasn’t great, but worked well enough. Room had a fridge and microwave. Fridge was so cold it froze our drinks and food. The ladies at the desk were always helpful. We had the same three ladies the whole stay. Breakfast was Covid friendly. They give you menus for each day you are there and you turn it in to the desk the night before for morning delivery. Overall, I would stay here again. No major complaints. Felt safe, food everywhere, and good room.

Convenient location. Literally next door to Ruby Tuesdays restaurant. Other dining options short drive/brisk walk away. Room was clean and comfortable.

This hotel seems new and modern. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was meh, due to Covid restrictions. My only complaint is that starting at 6:30 am people started slamming doors and dropping things on bathroom floors, so that it was impossible to get back to sleep. This isn't the fault of the hotel, obviously, but it made the stay less pleasant.

It was a wonderful hotel, clean and very helpful staff.

Holiday Inn is the best hotel ever ! Beds are perfect size and super cozy and staff are so friendly and helpful ! Fair priced compared to others as well !

Hotel was ok. Dirty towel left in bathroom - had to remove ourselves. Receptionist not wearing facial covering. Room was spacious and not far from city centre.

The best part of it was Lelia at the front desk! She couldn't be more helpful and in great spirits! She deserves a raise! Only thing we wish is that the hotel had a Tesla charging station, even though Lelia helped up by plugging in the car in the manager's office through the window.
