Baymont Inn & Suites Gurnee

Hot tub not working.... very disappointing.... garbage along side of bed hidden by bed skirt.....

Staff was awesome! Rooms needed updating - paint coming off the walls and the beds were not so comfortable. Location is close to the mall, and has a coffee shop and a couple restaurants right on the same adjoining parking lots.

I was very disappointed in the hotel. I expected more out of the name Baymont Inn and Suites. The hair dryer didn't work in the room. The paint on the walls looked like they did a patch job and didn't match the paint. The sofa was disgustingly dirty, I didn't notice that until the last day we were there or I wouldn't even have sat on it. We couldn't get the temperature to go down in the room - it was stifling hot, the water in the tub/shower couldn't be regulated to warm. It was either hot or cold. My husband got a cup of coffee at breakfast and it was cold and full of grounds, I thought maybe he got the bottom of the pot but it was full. The food dishes were empty and we had to ask to have more food brought out and it wasn't even close to the time for breakfast to stop being served. My husband talked to housekeeping that was in the hall and told them all we wanted was clean towels and he took them our garbage. They asked what room and gave him the towels. When we came back from the mall they were in our room cleaning. That was the purpose of getting the towels and giving them our room number. So they didn't have to go in our room. Our daughter and family was also staying in the same hotel - different room with same issues as ours.

It was a great stay, other that having people fight outside your room at like 2-3 am and the whole hallway smelling like weed. Overall the stay was okay, the breakfast was delicious.

Minus running out of hot water for the tub the place was great. My wife and I will stay here again.
