Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South, an IHG Hotel

No pool service so I was kinda disappointed!!I was charged a )$100 deposit and haven’t got it back I only slept there and checked out when will it be refunded I was told at the time of check in 3days tomorrow will be day 7

We should have known that the entire stay would not be good as we entered the hotel parking lot to find a slushy, unplowed mess. I've never seen a national chain not clear their parking lot. The manager on duty was the most rude, condescending, human being and treated his staff with total disrespect. I specifically requested a high floor when I made my reservation but was told it wouldn't be accommodated because of a "maid issue". Our room was clean, that was a positive. At 12:30 am we were awoken by arguments in the hallway and doors slamming over and over for the remainder of our stay until we left at 7 am. The hallway smelled like smoke. We heard alot of traffic overnight. Overall, not a great location, hotel, and experience.

OUR STAY WAS GREAT- WE FLEW IN FROM TAMPA TO HANDLE SOME FAMILY BUSINESS- THE ROOM WAS CLEAN ADN READY AND THE STAFF WAS GREAT-

My stay was ok; I understand that becomes of covid-19 room service was limited. I choosed this chain because they are usuaully good with comfort and cleanliness. The reason for the low score is covid restrictions, and does not reflect the total of the hotel.

The rooms are smaller than pics make em look. Never received my toddler bed, which was on my reservation. Phone wasn't connected right, random people walked into our room at night and our keys were deactivated twice. Pool was closed when it was online that it was open, only reason I booked there in the 1st place.

Despite signage about mask wearing, and some obvious changes in response to health concerns (replacing breakfast bar with grab and go bags, plexiglass shielding at the desk), none of the staff I saw were EVER wearing a mask. Beginning with the front desk and including room cleaners and other maintenance staff. Deeply unnerving, and possibly illegal (depending on local regs).

Very clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

The property seemed old and was being upgraded. The faucet was loose and the the tub was moderately clean. The staff was very unattentively. The evening person was not very familiar with the facility and the morning staff was absent. It appeared to be a maintenance person that checked us out, no one was on the counter and I had to call out to get someone to attend to us. Not the usual customer service that I have come to expect at the Holiday Inn.
