Very good location and the quality of service was great, charming..

The site was difficult to find but was a great venue when guided in by the receptionist . The room was more spacious than Brighton and the Caesar salad was as nice. The waitress was friendly for breakfast and dinner. I would come back thank tou

It was an episode from fawlty towers. Window only opens a centimeter on ground floor so no air but bed was lovely. No music throughout bar or restaurant so it felt like a morgue. Receptionist could not find my reservation and when checking out tge same woman tried charging me fir room i had paid for in advance, no apology either. Do NOT eat in the restaurant. My 10year old can cook better. Menu was dirty with smudged thumb prints on it. We ordered 3 starters to share but were given no plates so had to eat off napkins. Starters were awful.I had to ask for a new set of cutlery for main course (linguini with king prawns) and after the staff shouting at each other as to where my cutlery had gone "she put em on her starter plate" was heard..then i got a knife and fork when he could see i was eating pasta. Had to grab his attention again yo get a spoon. I didnt bother asking for parmesan..the sauce was terrible..packet tomato soup i think..not really the herb oil it was described as! My partner ate pie and 5he pastry was still raw on the bottom and the 5 wedges were something shrivelled cooked and reheated from last week. The staff were rude, unfriendly, the food was inedible and when theycame to clear the full plates and we said it was inedible, she replied with "oh sorry to hear that". Why bother even complaining when we were made to feel like horrid people. Checkout was equally dire and again no apologies when we explained our stay! Farcical.

The hotel is very old with no air con extremely hot due to not being able to open window fully .food was good though.

Lovely building, helpful staff. The room was a decent size, but hard to keep cool in the recent hot weather despite a fan being available in the room. The shower was nice & powerful, but soaked the bathroom if you weren’t careful as the shower head was too heavy for the holder. Breakfast choices a little limited.
