Wonderful location, staff offered us a room on higher floor facing west for the sunset. We went to nearby beach for the sunset, but for the arrangement, we are very grateful. Spacious room excellent location, nearby walking street, overall, very satisfied.

Dangerous neighbourhood
This area is dangerous after work hours and when the sun sets. There are no locals living there and it's surrounded by desperate drug addicts. Whn the sun is out it's ok to walk around, but you still have to stay vigilant. The cleaning in the common areas was deficient, especially in the spa and pool. No rules are enforced. A kid pooped in the jacuzzi, but no one was there to tell the family that kids are not allowed in the pool, and no cleaning was done after. Also, the restaurant is terrible, looks fancy, horrible taste.

Great hotel in a nice location
For 5 friends visiting from the UK this hotel served its purpose well. Positives: - A great location in the old part of the city. Close to the harbour and museums. - Breakfast was really good. Excellent choice of hot and cold food. - The swimming pool and gym were brilliant and we used these during the three night stay. - Friendly staff throughout the hotel. - The hotel felt safe and in a good area. Negatives: - The rooms are a bit tired looking and both the bedrooms and en-suites need a refresh. However, the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our visit to Montevideo and the hotel added to that. The gym / pool facilities were very good and we made use of these daily.

We had just arrived into Montevideo and this was our first stay. The property itself is unique. There are many upgrades needed, but there is a charm that in a sense, could represent the ever changing society and population of the city. The property is located alongside the square where sitting out for your afternoon Matte, you may see the same people returning from work or school as you did in the morning. The breakfast was plentiful of choices and there are multiple dinner locations nearby. I would stay there again.

Great location for city center and great infrastructure (swimming pool, spa, parking). The hotel looks like its best days are behind, not renewals in decades. Quirk issues with technology (on line check in is a waste of time, patent reading at the parking entrance did not work). Slow service at the restaurant for dinner. Good mattress and great shower, poor lighting. No phone chargers in one side of the bed. Great views from high floors.

The hotel is very nice with excellent service. There is a restaurant on the premises with a small but good menu. The property is located in the old town area of Montevideo, which is charming but a bit rough. There is definitely lots to do within walking distance.
