Needs some TLC
The hotel has potential but they didn't do a good job cleaning the room. Then on top of that I found and killed a roach the next morning. The beds were real hard also.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was in need of some upgrades. The bathroom had mold and water damage on the walls, the smell of cigarette smoke was throughout the property. There were buckets with cigarette buts outside the property and several people were standing outside their doors smoking.

The room had roaches in the bed sheets, on the floor and in the microwave. The paint was chipped and the room smelled of marijuana smoke. Staff lied when we returned the keys and refused to spend one night there. They told Expedia we used the room which was an untruth. They had a hand written sign on the door saying no refunds. Even after staff informed us to have Expedia call and they would refund. The property swiped your card as soon as you check in and snatched the money immediately so beware.

Both Stephanie and another older woman were very pleasant, helpful and sweet. The room reeked of smoke from the moment we opened the door even though it was non smoking room. Both nights were sold out so couldn’t switch rooms. The remote didn’t work so couldn’t turn tv on/off, change volume or channel (turned it on from the actual tv). Ms Stephanie kindly sent another remote up but that still didn’t work. Room didn’t have a shower liner but she took care of that as well and had someone bring one up. Did see two small roaches in our bathroom so we were on alert whole time. Room served its purpose to sleep and shower while visiting for Homecoming but it is not a first place pick at all. If you like Waffle House, it sits in the same parking lot so you’re in luck. Having a little continental breakfast in the morning was a good touch

Not what expected
Definitely was not what I was expecting. It is right off the highway and the road noise is very loud. They have outside entrance and it was a bit sketchy. Our deadbolt didn’t work, the ac sounded like an Ice machine but they did do a nice job trying to update it. I paid over $200 for our room but it was not worth over $129 tops.

Do not stay here! We arrived to a hotel room that reeked of marijuana. The hotel had marijuana weeds stems on the floor. The bath room had roaches crawling out of the bathtub and around the baseboards. We immediately went to the front desk to address this matter. I was told to get ahold of Expedia for a refund. The manager, Diana would not approve Expedia for a refund. She stated it was a non refundable weekend and here in the South we have bugs, it is normal. Absolutely not!

BUGS! BUGS! BUGS! Do NOT stay here! There were bed bugs in the room and other bugs all over. When I left because I refuse to sleep with bugs the night worker would not even speak to me. In the morning when I messaged to get ahold of the manager they would not refund me because “they only found roaches in the room.” Terrible service and unclean bug filled rooms. I travel a LOT and have never left a poor review before but I was blown away by how unclean this hotel was and how horrible the service was. The only redeeming quality was that the hotel is close to other hotels you can escape to when you have to leave this one.

I asked for first floor. Got second floor. They claimed that Expedia did not let them know. TV was extremely difficult to use. Front desk didn't know how to use it. Later I was given a list of channels which was worthless. First morning, pancake maker not working and coffee maker not working. Manager finally fixed them. No muffins although on the menu. Second morning, biscuits and gravy had no gravy, but cold biscuits!! Room air conditioner had to be put on 63 degrees to work at all. Bathroom door unusually squeaky. Mattress unusually noisy.

Pot
The hotel was a little run down. We could smell pot in the room from the time we checked in. We had to go to Wal-Mart to buy Lysol to cover up the smell. The guests on both sides of us were loud and you could hear them clearly through the walls. As we were going to bed, the smell of pot started filling up the room again possibly from the rooms on each side of us. I let the front desk know and her response was that they would check out those rooms when they left and charge them if needed. I didn't expect a free night but at least apologize and maybe follow up...
