Great value
Great value with the included full breakfast buffet. The hotel was very clean and semi-updated. Beds, furniture, and bathrooms had been updated, but not all the doors, stuccoed walls and ceilings, etc. The staff was pleasant. The hotel was quiet.

Pleasantly surprised
I was pleasantly surprised at the renovation of the hotel and the comfort of the bed. The complimentary toiletries and breakfast were also good quality and a nice surprise. The staff were very friendly.

Convenient for College Tours
La Quinta Inn is just a few miles from the UC Berkeley Campus. I loved that this was more of a hotel style where you went inside the building to get to the rooms versus other motels where you enter the room from the street. The rooms were clean, comfortable and updated. The lobby furniture looked nice from a distance, but up close the chairs were worn. The outdoor pool was closed during my stay, but it was one of coldest weeks of the year so no one was going to get in the pool.
