Big room, small wardrobe
Wonderful room. Fireplace nice touch. However, there was no closet space. One small wardrobe, not big enough to accommodate our clothes.

Disappointed
Prepaid booking but upon arrival, they tried to charge me for the entire balance again (not including the expected incidentals). Did not give me a room key, so when I couldn’t get into the room, I had to go back downstairs and ask for a key. The gentleman questioned me, saying he gave me a key. I assured him he did not. The following day, the room keys wouldn’t work. We playfully questioned if the hotel was haunted, to which the staff said, “yes, people say their items have moved to the other side of the room at night.” They also said, “that’s the price you pay for staying in Charleston.” Needless to say, we did an early check out and didn’t stay the second (paid for) night.

Short and sweet!
A quick turnaround, in and out of CHS, visiting the International African American Museum. The team was very accommodating, super friendly and helpful. Thank you! The location is very convenient and everything I wanted was within a 10-15 minute walking distance. I didn’t get to stay long enough to enjoy all the amenities of the Inn, but will definitely be back for a longer stay, the next time I’m in Charleston.

8/10 Very Good

Large, spacious rooms, super quiet.
The hotel itself is very well maintained and the rooms were extremely spacious and well appointed with high ceilings. Location is nice, right across from a major super market - but slightly outside of main downtown area (easy 7 min walk). A few things to mention: We found it odd that there was little activity in the main lobby - often times there was no one at the front desk or any other staff for that matter. There were also a couple nights we came in past midnight and again no one at the front desk, with open access through the main entrance. It was also eerily quiet, they could definitely use some light background music just to set some ambiance or mood. We didn’t use housekeeping for our entire stay so upon requesting toilet paper & coffee pods, we were asked to pick it up at the front desk ourselves which as a hotel guest was a first. Overall would recommend this hotel as we had a lovely stay.

It could be better
Other than shampoo, hair conditioner, and shower gel, there are no other items in the bathroom, and they will not provide shower caps or body lotion if one requests those items. A guest has to ask to have their room cleaned. This is not explained when one registers ; therefore no cleaned room the second day of your stay.

Lovely Hotel in a Great Location
What a lovely hotel in a great location! Staff was welcoming and helpful. Our room was beautiful and if I had any issue at all it would have been it was right next to Bay Street side so people walking by and traffic could be heard. It was not too bad however and our stay was excellent!

Beautiful inn with lovely staff
Beautiful inn located very conveniently to restaurants & downtown Charleston. Staff were really helpful & friendly. The rooftop terrace is delightful. Only thing I found strange was ordering breakfast & most people picking it up & taking it back to their rooms. Admittedly, I was a visitor from Europe & did found serving breakfast on disposable plastic & plates/containers strange, but this hotel was not alone in doing this on my visit to various ciities.

Still working out the kinks.
Nice renovations and it’s clear they are still working out the kinks. Front desk team was great. Weird that Saturday night is the one night the bartender has off. Kind of weird for busy time of year to not have the bar staffed. Team was amazingly nice and engaging. Room Reno was good but the old wet bar is just dated. Would also say the elevator floor and transition take away from all the othe nice finishes.
