Yövyin mieheni kanssa hotellissa sekä meno- että paluumatkalla Balille. Mennessä yövyimme vain yhden yön. Neljännen kerroksen standard-huoneemme oli muuten ihan riittävä yhtä yötä varten, mutta koska huone sijaitsi erittäin vilkkaasti liikennöidyn kadun puolella, liikenteen melu oli todella häiritsevää - yöllä edes korvatulpat eivät auttaneet vaan heräsimme […] vähintään jokaiseen moottoripyörään. Paluumatkalla viivyimme hotellissa kolme yötä. Saimme huoneen sivukadun puolelta, jolloin liikenteen melu ei enää häirinnyt. Hotelli on restauroitu hauskasti vanhaa säilyttäen ja modernia yhdistäen. Huoneet ovat varsin pieniä, mutta ei tässä hotellissa olekaan tarkoitus varsinaisesti aikaa viettää vaan tutustua reippaasti kaupunkiin. Siihen tarkoitukseen hotelli on mitä mainioin sijaintinsa puolesta: Little India ja arabikaupunginosa ovat aivan vieressä ja metroillekin on vain lyhyt kävelymatka, bussipysäkit ovat suoraan oven edessä. It wasn't a pleasant stay as the room i stayed is facing the main road. Too noisy. On top of that, I can even hear the speaking voices from next room. Bad experience!!!!

Great location opposition 24hr food hall which was great. Size of room unbelievable with queen sized bed but not enough room to swing a cat. When I opened my case my partner had to go in the bathroom or lie on the bed due to lack of space!!! Ok for site seeing and lovely local food and city seeing.

it was okay - we got the 4th floor and it was like a factory looking floor - the room is a tight squeeze - washroom/shower is together and nicely setup so atleast that was good. But best part was location, its near everthing you need, across the hotel you will find a 24hr food court with variety of choices available. Most of the food was great.

The hotel is not for everyone, the theme is neo reconstructionism. Staff, location, cleanliness, restaurant were very good. Basic, clean hotel for stays when you just need a bed and will be exploring Singapore during the day. Close to MRT. Lovely cafe for breakfast in the morning. Take ear plugs however as the front rooms can be noisy at night. Unfortunately the staff are inconsistent and, at worse, rude and arrogant. It is a shame as this hotel has so much potential.

comfortable stay , i felt slightly expensive considering the location and size of rooms, nice big bathroom, AC was not properly working, cleanliness was good,overall not a bad place to stay

The AC gave me some trouble. But after restarting it it was OK. They say they have wired internet but they don't have internet cables, even for sale. Wireless works OK though.

Great location close to MRT station and great hawker food directly opposite. Though basic accommodation it is good value for money especially in Singers. Spotlessly clean room and ensuite and a very comfy bed . A/C is great also. Out all day it is a good place to stay. Yes I would go back -no worries

Extremely noisy rooms. Right on main road and unfortunately opposite the busy bus stop. The bizarre rooms had no windows, just.louvre windows that offered no sound barrier. Rooms were tiny but we could accept that for the price. Book the more expensive rooms if you want a better nights sleep.

We needed a night for a stop over. It was OK for a night the bed was comfortable and the shower was good. A taxi was needed to get from Lavender st metro to the hotel. the staff were quite helpful.

It's basic but the price reflects that. It was clean, it was comfortable, it was quiet, and the location suited my requirements. For anyone who's planning to go IT shopping, Sim Lim is in easy walking distance. Walk across the road and you've got a food court with all the variety you could wish for. It was small--but we knew that from reading the reviews. Staff very nice and accomodating. Very enjoyable stay. Close to bus lines and MRT. Used the hotel for sleeping--and the size didn't matter.

Singapore is quite expensive and this hotel was the perfect fit for our needs and budget. Has a speedy wifi internet (free), comfortable bed and is within 10-15 min walk to 2 subway stations. Tastefully designed with a great cafe downstairs. However, most rooms dont have windows in the room (are only in the bathroom), which make them claustrophobic. I had to switch to rooms in the corner to get one with a window, but since these are facing the street, they were VERY noisey. I walk all day when i travel so my only complaint is that the closest MRT( Farrah park) was at least 20 min walk away.there is a bus stop directly across the road but it was a little tricky getting off at the right stops cause the drivers I had we're a little older and didn't seem to speak much English. the Room was basic but clean, pillows were good […] & the Staff were nice... My experience with the hotel and the hotel staff was positive. Based on the price this is definitely a nice hotel to stay in. I was happy with the free internet service and the breakfast. The staff will not great u as in some of the western countries, but they did help me find the places of interest and gave me proper directions whenever I needed it. […] The hotel is located around 10 min walking distance from MRT stations and within 10 min from Little India and especially Mustafa center. There are a lot of 24 hr services available for food and shopping. The downside is the restroom location may not be very convenient to everyone. The windows are attached to the restroom, so u may not get open daylight if u r in ur room. If u open the window then u have to deal with the noise form the street. There are a lot of night clubs and dance bars within 5 min of the hotel. I did not explore those, but if you are interested then there are a lot of options for you. It was just OK. I paid extra for the "suite", as the picture online made it look to be much more than it was. If this was the suite, then the regular room must be a shoebox. This hotel is not good value for the money...I will not return.

Compared to other hotels of similar price this was the least impressive. The one staff member was functional but not helpful beyond his heck in duties. The lift did not work. Floors were concrete. Bathroom looked clean but smelt unclean.

Good clean hotel however not easily linked to the MRT, nearest is Farrar Park which is 10-15 min walk. taxis are also difficult to flag. Hotel is nice, however VERY noisy. Jalan Besar is a really busy road, I'm a heavy sleeper and this was a challenge for me.

Basic, budget, small room, but clean and a good value for Singapore. Free internet access. There is 'food court' opposite , but we liked the Toast Box which is a 5 minute walk toward the subway.

This hotel is ok for short term stays - definitely not for more than a couple of nights. This hotel is in a state of disrepair. The lift is as slow as. But the staff were happily cheerful and the fact that it was opposite a large eating area was a bonus.

I was attracted to Kam Leng because of their low price point and the quirky interior design. In this area, the hotel did not disappoint, and gave off an aura of nostalgia once I stepped in. The sitting area was decorated by an aged plaque that spelled "Kam Leng" and there was a nice courtyard with a spiral staircase that stretched up. The corridors […] kept to the theme as well.
