Sheridan Hotel - Bronx

didn't like the location, too much noise from the constant traffic and from the tissue thin walls

This hotel was disgusting. Common areas were filthy and the room had mice.

My room was missing parts, lamp did not work, the towel rack was just sitting on counter, the whole bottom panel to the sink was missing, the remote was missing the battery cover and the best was the door look like someone once kicked it in so their was a half inch gap on the lower half of the door from the hadle down. The free breakfast was ok. Yes […] it is close to the number six train but the one block walk from the train to the hotel is kinda rough. At first we were concerned about location, but found it to be ammicable for our purposes of visiting Fordham University and NYC. Staff is working hard to maintain hotel's former Best Western standards.

The room was very clean and the hotel staff were friendly, the area was not in the best part of town. It fit our needs for our short stay.

The Sheridan is a clean, well-run oasis hotel in an otherwise sketchy neighborhood. Not good for an upscale, romantic get-away, but perfectly comfortable for an overnight required by work. Convenient to Bronx tourist locations. Left car in free parking lot and traveled by taxi, which the front desk called for us.

I do not even know where to start. Very hard to find, but I will be fair and possibly put that blame on the pgs seeing the two streets were right on top of one another which may have caused the problem. The man at the desk was not only useless but arrogant as well. English was not his first language, which I was not upset with. The fact I continued […] to ask his to speak slower and try to help me understand him so I could find the location and all I got in response was his talking faster and faster while basically yelling at me that I should know where I was going. I tried using the tv and only about 5 stations came in. When I asked if there was a list of stations that the hotel got I was met with an argument about how if I turn the tv on the list will be there. The problem was that the satellite was not properly working, yet I was told everything was fine and the message on my tv that told me the satellite was not working was obviously in my head. The customer service was beyond terrible. The location was disgusting and room was almost as bad. When I took a shower the entire bathroom flooded. The fire alarm went off at about 5 or 6 am. For the amount it cost I could have stayed in a much higher quality hotel with many more amenities. I would never stay at this hotel again even if I was being paid the nightly fee. Lisätietoja

the hotel did not have a late check out, which was bad for me . i had a wedding at 3 and was willing to pay extra but person said no. so i will never stay there or recommend it .

The rooms are nice and clean. The customer service is terrible. Every worker was frowning. The manager was rude. Business center was out of order.Far from everything. You must have a car to get there.

The morning guest reception is very rude. No hospitality at all. I never been to nyc so he wasn't helpful at all when I asked questions. The lobby area was nasty the carpet dirty. The area doesn't look safe at all.. now when it came to the room , the room was very clean I was happy with the room. The iron sucked. I hope in the near future these things […] can be improved. Booked this for price and location and regret it. It's a short walk from the 6 line, but in a terrible area. It's not unsafe, it's just that there is literally nothing nearby and it essentially under a highway and train overpass. Hotel manager made me wait for 5 minutes while he trained a new employee. The hotel itself is decent. used to be a Best […] Western but is not longer part of the franchise. The room was ok. It was as described in the pictures with the amenities, but didn't feel clean. The shower had mildew and the carpet had that "what am I stepping on" feel. While I didn't see any bugs, I felt like I was being bitten all night. When we checked out, we asked to leave our bags so that we could explore Manhattan before our 7 PM flight. This is the only hotel that I've ever stayed in that would not store our bags for us. This was unbelievable to me and it ruined our plans. The manager (same from last night) was sort of rude about it. I feel like, if you advertise as being close to Manhattan, you need to store guest's bags, or at least post that you don't. I would not recommend. Lisätietoja

I have been using this hotel since it was operated under Best Western and i have never have any problem or concern... Their friendly and i feel confortable staying there.

This hotel had an odor in it. Especially in the elevators. The room that had a king size bed was really small. When we asked for extra pillows we only got one pillow. For the most part the hotel was clean, I didn't realize the hotel was a Sheridan not Sheraton.

I was surprised to see that the room was very clean overall I was satisfied

Stayed here for a business trip. Nothing fancy and a little rough around the edges, but it's fine if you just need a place to sleep. My room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The exterior was neatly kept and the parking lot felt safe. It's a good value for the money. Clean, comfortable with a decent free breakfast. I was on a business trip in the area and I found the location convenient.

2* treasure

I was just staying one night for a meeting in the Bronx. Finding a decent hotel out there is difficult, yet the Sheridan is more than decent. The room looked just like the pictures and the bathroom was nice and updated. The breakfast was much to be desired, but it's free...can't complain when it's free. This could easily be a 3 star hotel if it weren't […] located on the side of a highway. But don't let that scare you. I didn't hear any traffic below and when I expressed concern about a room next to the lobby, the front desk gave me a room on a higher floor. I will stay here again for the next meeting. Lisätietoja

This hotel was such a surprise. The surroundings did not indicate that this would be such a fine hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful. There was even a hot breakfast included. This was a great find and a great value.

the ceilling in the two rooms that we booked were leaking. the bathroom ceilling was also leaking. The comforter on the bed had cigarette burns on it. its more like a motel than a hotel. prostitutes were everywhere and the staff was rude. The breakfast was also cheap, and their wasn't enough for everyone.

This hotel has new bathrooms and was generally in clean condition. The only two problems I encountered were with the wireless, which would go down every now and then for a short time (but wasn't really a big problem) and the TV set, which didn't work. They offered to send somebody to my room to fix the TV but I didn't really have time to wait for that. […] I heard a customer in the lobby have problems with his TV set as well. I still liked this hotel because it was clean and very conveniently located for my business trip. If you have to stay in the Bronx, this is your place. Lisätietoja
