I don't wanna stay here any more,ever... The room and the service is average or below.The next morning at the check-out, they told us to pay extra thousand rupee.We asked why,they answered because every hotel in delhi does so,it's a rule of the city.But the other hotel we've slept in delhi didn't charge us any money.How rude....

The service was very good and the location is very convenient. Free shuttle to airport is included. The price is very good, however, we are pretty sure the bedding hadn't been cleaned.

Not wanted, lack of warmth and indifference

15 min to the airport seems to be the ONLY plus. Indifferent staff only desirous of tips for doing almost nothing. Meagre and repetitive breakfast with an attitude of obliging. Seems this is cause breakfast is being offered as complimentary.

We came from Udaipur and should just have a night in Delhi. We choose this hotel because of the short distance to the airport. But it was a very good experience and one of the most clean hotels we have visited in India and we have been to more than 25 different hotels. Super chooice.

It is a classic indeed. We stayed overnight two times. The area That it is in is something else but once you immerse yourself in Delhi there is no problem. Mahipalpur has about 200 hotels to choose from but this one is fine if what you want is something clean tidy comfortable & good value near the airport

For its price the hotel is great except for the trashy state of the hotel strip. The rooms are new and very clean but also quite small. I was not bother by traffic noise even though it is next to a major, elevated highway. The included breakfast is very complete and good. If you need to stay over night near Indira Gandhi Airport Classic Diplomat gives you good value for the money. Only 5 minutes away.

Bathroom need to be improved. Shower not ok and need a partition in bathing area. Good for overnight stay.

This is an excellent selection if you just need to overnight very near the airport in Delhi. Although, it is not a place to walk outside and stroll the street at night. It didn't particularly appear to be unsafe, but just not very friendly surroundings. Yet, since my purpose was only to overnight while in transit, it is an excellent choice. The manager […] was very friendly and accommodating, the room very clean, the WIFI internet worked well. Don't run when you see the hotel front, as it doesn't have much street appeal at all. But then, that might be typical in Delhi as this is my first visit to that city and I WAS just outside the IGI airport. The hotel provides free "one-way" shuttle back to the airport upon your departure. Well, they basically call a taxi for you, and forgetting that this was supposed to be a free shuttle service of the hotel, I asked the driver how much the fare was before I got into the taxi, and of course he told me his normal (but fair) fare. I stupidly paid it, but hey, I had been on a dumb airplane for almost 20 hours the day before and I was beat, so I'm cutting myself a little slack for that minor faux paux. Everything was good - welcoming and helpful staff, spacious rooms, prompt service, clean bathrooms, good food, except for the bed sheets, which were not fresh. They had not been changed for fresh ones. They were crumpled as if the ones used by the guest earlier have been given a dust and tucked in again. The windows are not sound proof hence the traffic noise and the honking will be a bit annoying if you are a light sleeper (the Hotel is on a National Highway). Very close to IGI Airport, clean and modern room, good drop service. Price is also reasonable. Wonderful place to transfer overnight.

Everything went smoothly from being picked up at the airport to the wake up call the next day. This hotel is very conveniently located near the airport so is ideal for an overnight stay to get connecting/domestic flights. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful and professional.

The hotel offers a good clean economical place to spend the night near the airport (arriving late in the night) and get a good hot shower and breakfast before you start your next day. Hotel was good. Close to the airport. Great for transit passengers. They have 24hr room service. ONLY problem I had was NO hot water at night. When I got up at 4am to catch my flight the water was nice and hot. Overall experience was good.

Typical Dehli airort hotel..close 220 rupees cab ride...room was fine...but forget service...no wakeup...could have missed our flight...rip off for a cab back to airport...sketchy neigbourhood...there are other , better hotels...use this one only in a pinch.

It was very close to the airport and room was clean and comfortable. I was not able to make any international call from the hotel nor was I able to receive any call from outside. The room was rather cold, could use some heater in the rooms

This is a decent hotel for the price. It's very close to the airport, but that does also mean it's loud. It's on a street with many other hotels. The staff was nice, helpful. The room was ok. Clean enough, though there was a tiny bug on the toiletries tray in the bathroom.

The hotel room was clean and I was greeted warmly by the reception the night I arrived. No taxi came to pick me up, though, nor to drop me off the next day, although I ordered both. The rooms were very clean and confortable that is including the bathrooms and the bed itself. the food at the breakfast was very good in comparison with other hotels, but the service just wasn't upto par. No one really came to the table to ask for tea or coffee, or the food was not prepared fast enough as we had to visit 4-5 times to get some a certain […] product. Even their service desk took a long time to check us out and then call a taxi. overall the hotel is very nice for cleaniness, but if they make minor improvements on their service they could really be getting a rating of all 5's. Reasonable hotel fairly close to the airport. Little bit noisy due to the mass of other hotels nearby and the main road outside but ok for an overnight stay between flights.

Room service is very slow. Hot water is not avalable easily. These are the basic amenities should be taken care.

The Hotel Classic Diplomat is a good choice for an overnight flight layover. Clean, comfortable room with a basic breakfast. Worth the low cost.

Hotel staff was kind and helpful. Noisy traffic, so bring your earplugs, but not impossible. Food was tasty. Great for a transit hotel near airport.

Close to airport, useful for overnight stay between flights

My arrival in Delhi was around midnight and my connecting flight not until 14.30 the next day, so I needed a hotel close to the airport. Hotel Classic Diplomat was exactly that, and includes a pick up service (don't forget to tell them your arrival info!) which can be a good idea as Airport taxis can easily charge you ridiculous amounts for this very […] short ride (10 mins, they charged me Rs 1800 :-) It should be no more than Rs 300. As in most non 5 star hotels in India, there will be some street noise and the beds might be harder than Westerners are used to. Pre-paid tax rate from the airport to the hotel is 170 rupees (Nov 2011). Do not expect the hotel would send someone to pick you up at the airport even if you order one/pre-arrange with the hotel. A few of the guests I knew were waiting for the pick up, but it was never realised. If you order a "taxi" to the airport via the hotel, the hotel will charge […] you 300 rupees per person per trip! As far as I see, this is THE hotel's private car. It's difficult to get a taxi in the morning, I had no choice but to pay 300. What's ridiculous was that the hotel put me with another couple (sharing the taxi, but going to different terminals) in the same "taxi". The couple asked for a free pick-up from the airport to the hotel the night before, but that did not materialise. The hotel then put them in my taxi the following morning as a compensation!?! Good location for early morning flights. Our room was clean and very quiet althought street outside the hotel was very noisy. Hotel offered free drop off to airport. Nice !! Restaurant expensive for indian standards.

Very convenient - pick up from hotel included in room rate. Hotel Showers, cleans, decent breakfast. Would definately recommend if you need to stay near the airport on your arrival or departure.

The hotel is located very close to Indira Gandhi International airport, but in à rough area of the city, just Next to the flyover motorway. We had arranged for à pickup, but the driver was not there. After a few calls that was sorted, but disappointing. Hotel is pretty new but seems not very well kept. This is a good place if you are trying to get some rest for a day as you transit. Far from everything in the city. Thus it is a transit hotel only. Clean and neat. Stayed for a night on the way from USA to Kathmandu. Would stay again.

i read the other reviews and the comments said how this hotel is hard to find, or that the taxi drivers are not familiar with it. this strip of hotels is in a seedy neighborhood so i wanted to be sure that there was a car to pick me up. i called the hotel to schedule this and they assured me a car would be there, with the driver holding up my name. […] when i got out of the airport, i did not see anyone with my namecard, so i called the hotel. they said well, they always have a car there anyway with the name of the hotel on their window. i walked around and did not see one so i ended up taking a taxi with a driver that spoke NO english except to tell me that ... he did not speak english. i showed him the name of the hotel and the address and he nodded and started to drive. i asked if he could find the place and he motioned his hand, waving as if to say he'll figure it out. he started to drive and i had to hit him to stop because who knows where i would end up. i said, you can find this, yes? again, the hand motion. i called the hotel and had the driver speak to them and he was still not aware but i could tell he knew the general direction. he took me to the strip of hotels and i asked him drive slowly and i found the hotel myself. it cost 300 rupees, the equivalent of around $6 US dollars. i just paid him and booked it outta there. if you do decide to stay at this hotel, try to get a better guarantee that they will send a driver!!! other than that, the hotel was clean, my room was clean and the food was fine, with a free morning breakfast. Hotel Classic Diplomat.... Very clean room and bathrooms. Surprised to have 2 bathrooms. That was great! Good a.m. breakfast and room service was wonderful and not too expensive. Would definitely stay there again!

I stayed there with my daughter and would not do that again. If I were traveling alone, it would be fine, probably.

I had booked a family room and it came with two King size beds ( in one room) and two bathrooms. It was good for a family of four. Also decent breakfast.

This hotel is very near to the airport that it is great for overnight layovers. It is too far from downtown to make it a good choice for a Delhi visit. Clean and comfortable.

this is a good choice for overnight stay with connections the next day. The problem is that the taxi drivers have trouble finding the hotel. Make sure you do the prepaid taxi, or it could get expensive.

They didn't pick me up from the airport although I even phoned before and they reconfirmed...I had to take a taxi from the airport . The room was clean, AC worked fine, lukewarm water . Breakfast was bad and the wake up call was half an hour late , but all that said I will stay there again because its a five minute drive from the airport , the rooms […] are good and the staff was very nice and helpful.
