Courtyard by Marriott John Wayne Airport/Orange County - Santa Ana

the staff was very helpful and friendly; the room was way more than expected for the price paid; the cafe in the lobby was a great bonus; the hotel is near South Coast Plaza and lots of other shopping; only drawback was $8 self-parking fee, but most other hotels in the area have a similar parking fee. Would definitely stay here again!!

The pool water had a lot of chemicals to it. It did not seem like regular pool water, but the rest of the hotel was great. The staff was extremely courteous and gym was clean and serviceable. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Overall a great stay and my wife and I are already planning another trip.

We loved this hotel! The room was great, bed and pillows SO comfortable, amazing shower! Food was excellent, staff was super friendly!! Can't wait to find a reason to go back asap!!!

Don't know how old or young this hotel is, but it looked brand-new, with modern decor and facilities. You can valet park your car or self-park across the driveway; and the outside staff kept a good eye on both. Nice locations to major highways n airport. Shopping mall close by too. Front desk service was bad as they made me wait at least 15 minutes to check in n there was no one else there in line. Someone was "busy" on the phone. They charge for parking...about $8-11 per night whether you park or valet.

Brand new location with the best themed rooms. The hotel is relaxing.

perfect in all aspects, just that i did not pay attention to the contract id did not know about the parking charge any other than that i had a wonderful experience.

Careful...they charged high for parking. We stayed here to go to Disneyland. Clean, but no buffet, and we were surprised by the parking fee. Staff was not friendly. We expected better from Courtyard.

This hotel is like new. Spacious lobby, new rooms, new bathrooms. I was very pleased

My husband and I went with a few friends to California for Spring Break and stayed at this hotel for one night to go to Disneyland. It was a very nice and comfortable hotel for a very great price. a great hotel close to john wayne, will stay there again

Great experience all around. Everything was new and the staff couldn't have been more engaging. I would stay here again anytime I'm in town.

i enjoyed my stay here. the room was clean and comfortable. the surrounding area was safe and the inside of the hotel was very "fancy." the only thing i did't like was that i was NOT told ahead of time that i would have to pay for parking (even self-parking). i don't mind paying, but i mean, give your guests a warning.

For the price you paid for a beer and you got good quality champagne, I will stay there again,

Booked through Hotels.com: I was quite pleased with this hotel. The rooms were very modern and the shower was awesome. I don't travel often, which probably makes my opinion less weighted, but I'm pretty discriminate with my taste and I must say, can't beat the price for what you get. I just regret that I didn't stay longer.

The hotel was beautiful and it was great to stay there. My only (big) disappoint was that I had to pay for parking! Ridiculous!

This was a great hotel for the location and the price. I liked the convenience of a mini-lounge with food in the lobby. Hotel appears recently renovated so everything was new. Nice casual but business oriented and not too hipster vibe. I didn't try their food but it appeared popular. Lobby sofas/chairs were in small groups condusive to conversation and meetings. Con was that my room was along the main road so traffic in the morning was noticeably loud.

I can pretty much always count on any Courtyard, anywhere, to deliver a reliably good time. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean when we visited, the pool, laundry facility and gym looked great (didn't have time to use any of these on this visit), there's decent free coffee in the morning (tucked […] out of the way a bit), the lobby is very nice and staff are friendly and helpful. It felt like it was new, so I enjoyed it. It was 2 miles away from everything, so yeah. I don't know what to say about that. The staff was very knowledgeable, so that helped a lot.

This hotel was perfect for our family trip to Disneyland...I know that it was more targeted for business people but it fitted very well our criteria: It is located a 10 to 15 minutes drive from Disneyland, doesn't blow your family budget and is not a filty, unclean hotel. Really nice Hotel located near John Wayne airport and nice area. Food and store across the street. Nice decor, clean, comfortable beds,& nice bathrooms! Excellent price for weekend travel. Only thing, be prepared to pay for parking and there is no microwave in the room and no free breakfast. I would definitely stay there again!

Great price, right off the freeway. Rooms are new/remodeled so everything is very clean. Great big shower, nice room. The reception/eating area is funky by functional.

Arrived there for a late check in around 1130pm- took me 5 mins. Room was clean and quiet for the most part. The updated decor both in the lobby and in the rooms were one of the main reasons why I booked here.The beds were super comfy and I had no probs falling asleep. The room also came with a small fridge which was a bonus...

My co-worker and I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Santa Ana on a Thursday and Friday night, in February 2012. We travel a lot and enjoy booking Marriott's based on their quality of service. This hotel did not meet our expectations. Here are a list of some things we experienced... 1.) The GPS will not take you to the hotel. We tried with the GPS […] in the car, Google Maps on a phone, and Navigation on an Ipad). ...When we talked to a Marriott associate on the second day about this he said they were very aware of the problem and heard it often. 2.) When we called to ask directions, letting them know that we were guests on the way and were lost, we were placed on hold for five minutes. No one ever came back to help us. 3.) We pulled into valet and it was a ghost town. Took someone about 5 mins. to come help us. 4.) Front desk staff didn't seem to have a pulse when we were checking in. It was strange. 5.) On Friday, I did all my work from the hotel room. I heard a constant slamming of doors in the hallway. It was loud and incessant. I peeked my head out after an hour to see it was housekeeping making all the noise. Hard to imagine this is a hotel focused on business travelers. 6.) Friday night, we went to the local Ducks game. When we returned around 11:30 p.m. we purchased a couple of waters from the front desk. At that time, we were informed that the water at the hotel was scheduled to be off from 12am-5am. They handed us a piece of paper with the information. They asked if we knew about this, which we didn't. We hurriedly went upstairs to brush our teeth and clean up for bed since the clock was ticking against using any water. We were surprised to note that they had not placed notification under our door, nor had they left a message on the phone. Had we not stopped by to pick up those waters, we never would have known. This was our third stay for my husband and I and our two kids at this hotel and we absolutely love it. The rooms are very very nice and clean, the beds are comfortable and the location is great for our needs. We will be staying at that hotel anytime we head that way. Very satisfied. The facility and surrounding area was very clean and well-maintained. There's easy access to surrounding places of interest such as the Honda Center, John Wayne Airport, Disneyland, etc.
