The staff here are very good! Everyone was neat, clean, friendly and helpful! Also, their rates were the lowest I found! This really is one of Cancun's hidden treasures! Two thumbs up!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was great and the staff very competent and friendly. The staff were most accommodating and gave me good information on the area for shopping and gambline and restaurants. I was expecting a little better from the photos. the area is not so good, but I had no problems except no taxi drivers know where this hotel is at. get them to give you a map, and remember the bar name near by. the internet in my room was so bad. for the price the hotel was okay, and the staff were friendly. One of the staff recommended a car rental […] agency and that worked out great as they picked me up in the rental car. I'd avoid driving in centro cancun at least in the rush hours. though I'd crash for sure! there is parking at the hotel and that's fine. Lisätietoja

Away from the pricy Hotel Zone and it's Vegas razzmataz this little budget priced hotel in the "Mexican" part of Cancun surpassed my expectations for value and quality considering the great low end price-point. The staff speak English well. My room was a tad Motel 6ish small, but was clean, had 2 double beds (not mattresses tossed on to concrete slabs […] so typical of many low end Mexican hotels) and is decorated with well built almost rustic Mexican furniture. There was an LG plasma TV bolted to the wall with a good selection of subtitled channels... a nice touch. There is a restaurant on site with menu prices for some items less than half what you'd pay in the Hotel Zone. My 70 peso Chicken Cordon Bleu was excellent. Morning fresh perked coffee, juice and fruit was ready on a buffet table for 25 pesos... but the fruit buffet/coffee is included if you order a small entre' from breakfast menu...clearly the best breakfast value. There is a small pool and the pool/restaurant area has a large outside speaker system playing some nice easy listening/new age music. Internet is provided and from my room the signal was strong, lightning fast with plenty of bandwidth available for streaming VOiP applications. I detected no VOiP app port blocking (so very common in the hotel zone) so your Skype, Vonage or MagicJack should work OK here at the Hacienda de Castilla. This hotel is in a bit of an older part of town but because of the great on site service, clean comfy beds, and ample guest toiletries I give this hotel a solid 2.5-3 star rating. Well what can I say..... We actually enjoyed the , hotel, the comffort is lacking, the "restaurant" is a disaster, the personel does not speak much english... Still we enjoued it, the 'hood is poor but ok to move around in, mexicans are generally friendly, but many does not undrestand if a tourist adress them... ok - now to the worste part: the hotell […] ofers no deposit box - and even if they did - you do not keep everything in the box all the time.... we have made a habit of always carrying our belongings with us in stead.... on last day - we went for the first time ever out of the hotel without our backpack ( with all our belongings ) when we arrived less than an hour later - the room had been "cleaned" - so no more iphone for me... the hotel didnt do much - or couldent, I dont know... remember that you are not ensured if things are not in deposit box !!! That said, the linens were clean, as were the towels. Abundant hot water and a funky little restaurant. On the bad side, it was a tad squalid, meaning that I could do mental dot-to-dot on the ceiling stains and the room had a funky smell that disappeared after opening the window. Musak 10 hours (You Light Up My Life...) a day and a behind bars reception […] in a neighborhood full of local color and drunks. Wifi. We stayed in this hotel in Cancun and couldn't have made a better choice. It's 5 minutes walking to Tulum Ave. where you can catch a bus to the 'Hotel Zone' with all the wonderful beaches. The bus costs 8.5 pesos and takes 15 minutes or so to get there. They are often air conditioned and the ride is quite comfortable. The room was large and spacious. […] While the building is old, we couldn't really complain because the price we paid was really low. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. There is a nice swimming pool next to the restaurant and it looks quite inviting. The hotel location might put you off at first but you're in Central Cancun and amongst the real people who live in the city. Bedsheets, towels, etc. were very clean. We had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling on a budget. Lisätietoja

We didnt eat or drink anything so that i dont know anything about but it was a pretty good hotel for the price. Its really cheap so cant have too high expectations. The pillows were pretty stiff but besides that a good room and nice helpful staff. The location wasnt the best pretty far from the "main"streets with restayurants and stuff. We can not easy to buy food around the hotel. If you gp to the ADO station, you have to take a taxi. anyway, the price is quite ok.

Hotel en malas condicones de conservacion ( aire acondiconadao, arreglo de drenaje)nos toco esta situacion ademas en la colonia de ubicasion esta fea,sucia,aunque tambien hay que decir que el personal nos atendio bien

Det ligger langt fra strand og by. Receptionen er lukket til med tremmer, værelser ikke særligt pæne. Vi ville helt sikkert ikke overnatte der igen. Der er i øvrigt ikke særligt spændende i cancun. Man skal bo i hotel zonen.

Tudo funcionou normalmente, ele e otimo pelo preco que se paga. Quarto com duas camas, bom banheiro, ar gelando e estacionamento fechado. Ponto fraco, a localizacao, no centro da cidade, cerca de 10km da zona hoteleira.

De omgeving van hotel is verschrikkelijk. Er is niets te doen en de omgeving is een soort getto. Aardige mensen in het hotel. De plaatsjes zien er iets moier uit dan het in werkelijkheid is. Erg klein zwembad en de eetzaal heeft geen zweer en een soort TL verlichting. daardoor erg ongezellig.

Mine børn og jeg var meget glade for at bo på hotellet. Personalet var imødekommende og venlige. Hotellett var hyggeligt og rent. Det ligger ikke lige i centrum af Cancún, men ligger 2 minutter fra busserne, som kan køre dig ind til centrum på 5minutter. Vi kunne godt li' at gå turen hjem fra centrum og opleve et andet mexico end dér hvor turisterne […] færdes ( Hotel Zonen). Vi følte os på intet tidspunkt utrygge. Lisätietoja
