L'Esperance Hotel - Philipsburg

L Esperance is a very basic accommodation. The rooms are air conditioned but only in the bedroom. Wireless Internet in the lobby. Nice staff.

The room was simple and clean, BUT that's about it. There's a coffee maker, but there was no coffee and nowhere to get coffee until the grocery store down the street opened. The air-conditioner was off when we got to the room about 9pm and it took until about 2am to cool down the bedroom. The living room never really cooled down. So, I stayed here as I got into St Martin a day before my sailing trip left. The room was clean enough and ok to sleep in but really not much more than that. No hotel bar/restaurant and nothing around. We stayed one evening at this hotel before a sailing trip. You certainly need to take a cab from there to the harbor, so be prepared for another $15 or so for the taxi if needing to get to the boats or downtown. Not too much in the family-home neighborhood to see. The staff was great: we left behind an article of clothing and went back a week later […] to get it. They then let us leave our luggage there for the day since we had several hours before our next flight. they also taught us how to get a cheap bus ride over to the French side of the island, saving us a lot on taxi fees for that day's exploration. Our hotel room was a 2BR, lightly-furnished apartment and was very clean, but not the amenities of most hotel chains. They have a good sized pool, gardens and patios, none of which we had the time to use. All in all it was a good value, friendly staff and OK location. If you're staying any lenght of time, and need it, there is a super market within just a few minutes walk . Also a couple small restaurants within a few mintues walk. Lisätietoja

The hotel was a little hard to find in the dark, but we had a plesant stay. The suite was large and very clean. The bed comfortable, we slept very well.

The hotel is nice, clean and satisfactory. There is a nice big flat screen TV, the shower was good, bed was nice and it comes with a nice mini kitchen that you can make your own breakfast or even warm your food. One disappointment for me is that i was unable to access my mobile from this location. I was also unable to pick up wifi on my phone.

We were looking for reasonably priced rooms for the night before our sailing trip began. L'Esperance fit the bill. Simple, clean accommodations. The young lady at the desk was very courteous and helpful. Free wireless worked fine. This hotel is off the beaten path nestled in an older residential neighborhood. The room was clean, kitchen well stocked with utensils, and the bed was really comfortable. Staff was friendly and security was tight. Nice wide screen TV with good reception although not a lot of channel choices. Very close to downtown shopping and beaches in Phillipsburg. […] Telephone costs were high if used. Need to have a cell phone that you can use in St. Martin if you stay here. For the price, it couldn't be beat! It also has a nice, but small pool. Veranda and balcony off every unit. We stayed 4 nights and spent the other 6 nights at our timeshare resort. As for room comfort and convenient access to Phillipsburg amenities, it was better than our timeshare room. But if you are looking for a 4 star hotel, this isn't for you. Lisätietoja

surpris dans les bon sens, cette petit structure est tres bien située, a deux pas d'une superette ou vous trouverez ce qu'il vous faut.. et a a peine 200 ou 300 metres il y a un grand super marché !! l'endroit est tres calme la nuit aucun bruit parasite .. le jour c'est autre chose car c'est assé fréquenté car il y a des commerces a proximité !! il […] y a des taxi toutes les 5 a 6 minutes donc pas d'attende sans fin .. l'on peut donc y venir avec ce famille.. les chambres sont pourvu d'un tres grand salon un coin cuisine une salle d'eau et une chambre avec un grand lit et un balcon en plus Lisätietoja

部屋は割と広くキッチンもあり、用具や食器も揃っています。ユニットバス（バスタブ無し、シャワーのみ）ですが、こちらも割と広くキレイとは言いがたいですが、不快ではありませんでした。アメニティ類は、石鹸と小さなシャンプー、タオルは毎日取り替えてくれます。外出時には、一度フロントで鍵を預けていかなくてはなりません。有料ですが、ロビーにあるパソコンを利用することができます。また小さなプールもあります。徒歩1分の所に小さなスーパーがあり、また徒歩5分経の所には大きなスーパーやファストフードのお店もあり、少し栄えています。この近辺にはバス停もあります。バスは割りと頻繁に通っていますが、やはりレンタカーがないとすこし不便な場所にホテルはあります。
