Olin nyt kolmatta kertaa samassa hotellissa. Paria seikkaa lukuun ottamatta olin erittäin tyytyväinen. Suurin harmi oli se, että bide-suihkua ei ollut, ja se suihkujärjestelmä, joka oli, toimi alkeellisesti. Säätö ei toiminut, vaan vettä tippui jokaisesta kolmesta kohdasta, vaikka miten olisi säätänyt. Veden tulo alkoi aina kylmällä vedellä, ja sitä siis tuli joka tuutista. No, kyllä tilanteen kanssa oppi pärjäämään. Toinen harmi oli se, että vaimoni yöpyku katosi liinavaatteiden mukana, ja takaisin sitä ei saatu.

Hotelli on kohtuullisen hintainen. Sijainti aivan metroaseman vieressä, josta pääsee manhattanille melko nopeasti. Aamiainen on ihan okei, tosin tilat on aika pienet, joten oli melko ruuhkaista välillä. Huoneet on todella siistit.

Kaupungin New York sydämessä sijaitseva The Jewel facing Rockefeller Center on lähellä kohteita Museum of Television and Radio, Rockefeller Center ja St. Patrick's Cathedral. Lähistöllä ovat myös Broadway ja Grand Central Terminal.
Hotellin palvelut.
Majoitusliikkeen (hotelli) ravintolapalveluihin kuuluu ravintola. Huonehintaan sisältyvä langaton ja langallinen Internet-yhteys on käytettävissä yleisillä alueilla. Hotellissa on liiketoimintakeskus auki aina. Hotellissa on muun muassa seuraavat lisäpalvelut: kuntokeskus tai -sali, pesulapalvelut ja concierge-palvelut.

For my 6 day visit 1st time in NY I booked a superior room for smokers, which brings me to my only disapointment of the hotel. The room I got wasn't superior but just standard room and the receptionist at the lobby didn't mention anything about it untill I came back down to ask about the room. Turned out there were no Superior rooms for smokers. It […] would be nice to get to know about such a room change upon checking in..... The receptionist was nice though and explained the situation and she changed my room to a superior room which was in another tower just 20-30 meters away. The superior room itself was much nicer than I thought from the pictures and spaceous. Overall the all the staff were very friendly especially the little bit asian type looking man whose name I unfortunately forgot. Hotel price was very competetive to other similar hotels in the same area and the location itself was good and easy to get everywhere with walking or subway (Rockefeller center station and Lexington ave/53rd St station both nearby). Siisti pienehkö hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla. 5th avenue ja Rockefeller Center ihan vieressä, lisäksi lyhyt kävelymatka esim. Times Squarelle ja Central Parkiin. Mukava aulahenkilökunta. Ei ravintolaa/baaria. Hyvä hinta/laatu-suhde.

Hotelli oli hyvällä paikalla ja sieltä oli hyvät yhteydet. Hotellin henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja kaikki toimi hyvin. Terrace Club oli n 30 metrin kävelymatkan päässä, siellä oli hyvä ja kohtuu hintainen ruoka, palvelu toimi ja maisemat olivat hyvät. Wlan toimi hyvin ja hotellissa oli myös 2 tietokonetta käytössä ilman mitään maksua.

I visited Jewel in the beginning of Augusti 2011. The hotel was an excellent choice: clean, new, comfortable. I also liked refrierator and microvawe oven in the room. And the location is of course excelleent. If I want to mention some negative aspecst. some roomes may be dark since the hotel is situated besides Rockefeller Center indeed. Pitää osata pyytää huone, josta on näköaölat. Paikka on loistava, samoin palvelu on hyvää. Sen sijaan meille annettiin ensimmäiseksi yöksi todella pieni, arviolta 14 m2 huone kolmelle aikouselle. Varavuode mahtui kun ainoa nojatuoli vietiin pois, mutta kulkemaan ei meinannut mahtua. Seur yöksi pääsimme tuntuvasti isompaan. huoneeseen.

Hotellin sijainti on omaa luokkaansa. Toimintakonseptin yksinkertaisuus myös yllätti positiivisesti. Huoneet siistejä ja hyvässä kunnossa. Kaikenkaikkiaan erittäin hyvä hinta / laatusuhde. Paras mitä olen useilla NY matkoilla saanut. Suosittelen lämpimästi!

Mukava pieni perushotelli. Huoneet olivat hyvin siistit ja sänky mukava. Ainoa haittapuoli oli kun päivänvaloa ei saanut huoneeseen vastakkaisen rakennuksen vuoksi. Henkilökunta oli hyvin ystävällistä ja sijaintihan oli siis aivan loistava!

"Efficient layout of tiny sliver of a room"
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and efficiently laid out. Plenty of outlets for our chargers. Nice bathroom that was clean and adequately stocked with towels for three of us. Our teen son wasn't too comfortable, though, on the "chair bed" (a chair that pulls out to a twin sized bed) because of its very thin mattress. We didn't see the blanket […] and pillow until the morning, when we were closing the bed. They were stuffed into the big arm rest of the chair. Instructions would have been useful. I had requested a king bed with a rollaway, but got a queen with chair bed. Note, when the chair bed was opened, there were only about 8 inches of clearance. Coffee maker is nice to have, but the carafe dripped coffee all over the place when pouring. Also, I don't think the room had a safe, if that is important to you. We checked luggage, which was retrieved fairly promptly when requested. The young woman at the desk arranged for a car to Newark, however, she told us the wrong info regarding the fare. She said it included tolls, which was disputed by the driver. We didn't have time to argue, and ended up paying the two expensive tolls. Check out was quick. Lisätietoja
"Fabulous location, comfortable & all amenities"
Recommend highly except the bed and bedding were not comfortable. Upgrade on this would be welcome and don't use slippery fabric on your quilts - they don't stay on the bed.

I can't say enough positive things about this property! The location is wonderful, the property is spotless, the room was wonderful and the amenities were well above what we expected! Computers and printers on the second floor, happy hour next door in a wonderful bar with a fireplace and a terrace, free water bottles and filtered water in the hallway, […] balcony overlooking Rockefeller Center...I've already recommended it to a friend who is in NYC on a regular basis. "The Jewel in NYC - in the heart oif Manhatten"
The jewel was convenient to everything. walk out the door and there is Rockefeller Center.. 2 blocks North is the MOMA Radio City Music hall is down on the corner. Close to all the best shopping and a 5 minute walk to Broadway The N,Q,R trains and the 1 train are all 2-5 minutes from the door. I plan on staying here anytime I am in the city....
I was in NY City for minor surgery and i stayed at the jewel. The staff was fantastic. Anything i asked for they helped me. They were all pleasant, and kind. I will go back and stay there when i can get out and enjoy the city. And i have already told many friends about it...

The jewel Hotel was everything and more than I expected. staff polite and helpful, quiet atmosphere, and near to all the most interesting sights. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

It was in a great location in walking distance to almost everything ! Only thing I thought was that it was a little overpriced but I needed a hotel for my fiances birthday
Great location across from Rock Center and off 5th Avenue. Very close proximity to the subway and bus lines. I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the suite and amenities. It was more like a small Japanese styled apartment than it was a hotel. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

This was a great find. The location is superb - no restaurant or bar on site, but there are many options within a block or so. The room is efficent, but doesn't lack any amenity. The bathroom is well appointed (marble, etc.). It will be my hotel of choice in NYC,

The Hotel is in a great location, rooms are clean. They did not have valet parking and We have to park the car ourselves 5 blocks away and walk back. If you are on a budget it's a great choice. If you are staying for more than a couple of days. I will go to a Hotel with bigger rooms.

Dont be afraid of this small room. It is perfectly designed with green and energy efficient amenities and although compact, is super cozy. I had a room with balcony and corner windows. It's a cute place, room is well designed. great location if you need midtown/5th ave and don't care for times square. Prices are fair with great deals periodically, Amenities are excellent: coffee machine, Ethernet and WiFi work properly, Bed is comfy, shower is hot, iphone/ipad dock by the bed, light switches are well placed, tv is good resolution, […] extra cables on desk if you need them. "Fabulous location, nice rooms, bed could be better"
We stayed at The Jewel for a weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday. The location and accomodations were exactly what we wanted. The room was small but very efficiently organized -- making the best use of the available space. The staff had good advice, and we really appreciated the cold filtered water. Good location and clean room. Given NYC hotels' reputation of beg bugs, I was really glad that my bed in the Jewel was bug free.

I stayed with my husband for the weekend in NY. We really like it, the room was clean and quiet. Check-in and check-out were very easy. I would probably stay over here during my next trip to NY.

If you are looking for a little room without lots of amenities then this is the place! Short walk to Time Square and the Theatre District. The rooms are small but very nice, everything is very clean. The beds are just ok as far as comfort.

Reasonable, comfortable, and the smallest room has everything you would need for a night in NYC. You will not find a better hotel at a more reasonable price. We stayed here on a Saturday evening after seeing the daytime showing of "Wicked" at the Gershwin theater. The theater is a roughly a 4 block short walk (as are a lot of the other theaters on Broadway). […] The ice rink at Rockefeller Center is right accross the street. We couldn't have been happier. Our room dind't have a view of St. Patricks or Rock Center but that only meant: a nice, quiet nights sleep as our room did not face 51st street. -Which incidentally is not super busy late at night anyway so I am certain we would have been fine on the main road too. We were very happy with the customer service as well. We forgot our toothpaste and toothbrush. We also requested a cot as my wife had a firend pop in to visit from Brooklyn who decided to stay with us. The front desk brought all of the items up in a minute flat. Next to Rockefeller and 5th Av so location is great. Limited services at the hotel, but at least 2 bedroom apartment has kitchenette enough to take care of your breakfast. Clean, quiet, beds good without bugs, friendly and quick service. Go for it!

Spent two weeks in this very well located hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful - all requests were attended to immediately. Room was compact but well appointed and extremely quiet. Free inroom wifi, a small fridge and microwave were excellent inclusions. All the NYC attractions are either within walking distance or accessible via nearby subway stations. "A Modern Jewel"
The hotel was very well represented on the website. Though the rooms were not large, but they were organized well, designed well, and seemed recently done. The location is very convenient, with subway connections to all the major subways nearby. A good value and would definitely visit again.
