"Nice Hotel"
Clean, quiet, convenient location. Room is comfortable but not large. Breakfast is just OK. Breakfast is better at the Hyatt. If you don't get there really early, they start running out of things and you have to wait for refills. Eggs are fairly nasty - more cheese than egg. The oatmeal is ok but not great. Overall, nice hotel and I'd come back.

Our daughter attends U of R and we have been using this hotel for most of our stays there during the past two years. The staff is very friendly. We have stayed in a King Suite and a standard King room. Both are very comfortable. We usually choose the suite. My hubby and I have stayed here twice and we loved it both times. The room was clean, the staff friendly and the free breakfast tasty. Great hotel. Nice design elements- the rooms look modern and not like every square box hotel that hasn't changed wallpaper since 1975 and they have an interesting layout. My three complaints (and they are minimal) 1) They could describe the size of the rooms a bit better. I thought I was getting something a little bit larger, but it was nice enough […] I didn't mind the coziness. 2) The gym is somewhat skimpy- it could use a pullup bar/leg lift machine or something else to give a little more variety... 3) They only served oatmeal once at the free breakfast. (see, these are very minimal complaints) We were driving so it was fine- attractions like Carytown and Millie's and Julep's were usually about ten to fifteen minutes away by car, but if you're not in the mood to rent a car or do much driving, it really is somewhat remote. "Hampton Inn Glenside"
The Hampton Inn Glenside is extremely clean. The King suite room was spacious and well appointed. Staff was pleasant. Many choices for the continental breakfast. About 4-5 miles from museums and downtown. We visit Richmond often and will definitely stay here again.

Hampton is always great, but this one was especially new, clean and welcoming.

I chose this hotel for numerous reasons: 1) I needed a room with two beds larger than a double and very few hotels offered a minimum of two queens that I found in this room, 2) I needed a room near to I-64 3) wonderful breakfast included in the price 4) room was very clean, nice bathroom, towels, and toiletries 5) was constantly greeted with courteous […] and friendly staff. This was our first stay in the Hampton Inn and it was fantastic. We got in late on Friday and the front desk clerk was just terrific in recommending several restaurants in the area that we could visit. All recommendations were just excellent. "Great Hotel"
This hotel is super close and accessible to the UR campus. The reviews I read beforehand all sounded great, and I wasn't disappointed. My room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. I also enjoyed having breakfast included and thought the spread was pretty decent. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again.

"Great Value, Great Hotel in Richmond"
I've never reviewed a hotel before, but wanted to share my experience at the Hampton Inn. We were visiting friends who live near UR in the Grove area and this hotel could not have been more perfect. It was close by, easy to get to, and for the value it was perfect. The lobby was really nice, the room had everything we needed, and I was amazed at the […] breakfast spread the next morning - eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, muffins, bagels... unreal. We stayed at the Embassy Suites the last time we visited and it was fine but just seemed a little run down and our room smelled of chlorine from the pool below. "Pleasantly Surprised"
After moving out of a nearby hotel that was a serious letdown, this hotel was everything the other should have been. They had clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot showers, and a wonderful staff that took extra special care of us.

"Richmond/Glenside-More than satisfied"
Just like it was mentioned in other reviews, this location is very new, everything is spotless and working. We used this as a stop to sleep during a trip, got in after 11 PM, quick shower and sleep, enjoyed the very nice free breakfast (older review said there was none, but I assure you, they have a very nice spread), and on our way early. The only […] thing I have even close to a complaint is the address is listed as Richmond, VA, but the clerk told me it is actually in Henrico, VA. So the address won't take in a GPS unit (mine was just updated, so it's not because of old info.) The GPS still gets you to the proper exit from the interstate, but heads you in the wrong direction. Added a whole 5 minutes to the trip, I did not consider this bad enough to knock a star off. I hope Hilton notices and fixes their website. We have stayed in 4 Hampton Inn locations in the last 18 months or so, and they are such nice facilities, I don't even consider checking other chains. Very nice new hotel, very clean, very comfortable, stylish and modern without being fussy. Nice breakfast with good choice. Outdoor pool ideal and very clean. Good location if you have a car, close to shops and restaurants etc on Broad St and main interstate access. Suites are a good size and good value.

This is a new hotel (which I didn't know at the time) that has only been up and running for 9 months and you can definitely tell! It is immaculately clean and organized. The rooms are very nice. The service is impeccable. Upon arrival, the receptionist was nice and helpful. I told him that we needed a crib for our 6 month old (which I didn't know they […] had) and he immediately went up and brought the crib to our room. The only downside was that the free breakfast was continental and I assumed that because it didn't say continental that it would be more. We visit Richmond frequently as our daughter attends UR. We have stayed in several area hotels. Our previous favorite was booked for this past trip. We looked around and this property was not far from where we used to stay and very convenient to the school. We stayed in a King Suite for less than the standard room at the other place. The room was big […] and comfortable anb felt new. There was room for three of us to be quite comfortable, Breakfast was typical continental - nothing to brag about. Plenty of restaurants near by. The only problem i had was there was no refrigerator in the room but a cooler i had took care of that. Other than that the proximity to dining, shopping, and entertainment was nothing short of outstanding. Will definitely stay at this hotel when i am down here again.

Kind of crowded but Hotels.com raised the price on one of my usual stays and I was forced to come to this one. Still high quality but kind of crowded for me and your printers in the Business Center did not work properly. Eventually, I pushed a button, the paper tray eject button, then the printer worked.
