Pitkän lennon jälkeen oli mukavaa, että hotellille ei ollut kuin 15min matka ja hotellinvastaanotossa palvelu pelasi mukavasti myös yöllä. Huone oli hieman käytössä kulunut ja vanhahtava, mutta hyvin siivottu. Mitään loistokasta hotellissa ei ollut, vaikka kuvien ja mainosten perusteella niin voisi odottaa, mutta toisaalta ei ollut mitään ikäviä yllätyksiäkään. Aamupala on lähinnä vitsi ja viikonloppuisin hotellilla tuntui olevan paljon paikallisia nuoria juhlimassa jotka hieman pitävät ääntä yölläkin. Ilmainen netti toimi hienosti. Hyvä perushotelli jossa hinta/laatusuhde on aika hyvin kohdallaan.

Algiers Gulf Resort sijaitsee kaupungissa Treasure Island (Treasure Island - Madeira Beach). Lähistöltä löytyy muun muassa John's Pass. Alueen muihin nähtävyyksiin kuuluu Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary.
Hotellin palvelut.

Vierashuoneet.
Vierashuoneissa on seuraavia näköalavaihtoehtoja: allas. Algiers Gulf Resortn 17 ilmaistoidussa huoneessa on kahvin-/teenkeitin ja silitysrauta / -lauta. Ilmainen langaton nopea Internet-yhteys on käytettävissä. Televisiossa on kaapelikanavat.Kaikissa huoneissa on suoravalintapuhelimet; ilmaiset paikallispuhelut ovat käytettävissä (voimassa saattaa olla rajoituksia). Kylpyhuoneissa on suihku / amme-yhdistelmä ja hygieniatuotteet (sisältyvät hintaan).
Huoneissa on mikroaaltouuni and jääkaappi. Lisäpalveluihin kuuluvat kattotuuletin ja kelloradiot. Lisäksi siivouspalveluita on saatavilla (kahdesti viikossa) ja pyynnöstä saatavissa oleviin palveluihin kuuluu turndown-palvelu. Kaikki hotellin Algiers Gulf Resort vierashuoneet ovat savuttomia. Vierashuoneiden kunnostustyöt valmistuivat: maaliskuu 2009.

The motel was nice. It would be good for a week stay for a family. Washers and dryers onsite. Housekeeping service on a rotating basis. Fresh towels etc. were always available from the very courtesy Reception staff or the housekeeping staff. The hotel was clean, safe, casual and comfortable.

"Good location, but that's about it"
This hotel is old. It's pretty clean, but the windows/door/walls are paper thin and you can hear people walking by and cars driving by all hours of the night. We didn't get a good night sleep at all. It's dark and dingy, but the price wasn't bad. The location is right on the beach and it has a pool, but I wish we would have paid more for a better hotel. […] I would not stay here again. "Dirty Room"
The carpet in our room was extremely dirty. We took a shower and walked on the rug with our barefeet and our feet were black. The bathroom floor tile grout was dirty and the faucets in the shower did not work well. Shower temperature would go from hot to cold. Would not stay here again.

The carpet was so dirty that if we walked around the room barefoot, our feet were black. Bathroom floor also needed a good cleaning, dust on the ceiling fan, water in the shower wouldn't stay hot.

We were looking for a place on the gulf, just for a few nights. The location is convenient to many wonderful restaurants and activities.The weather was even great. We were very pleased with our stay. This motel has several couples who return year after year and made us feel welcome.

Very disappointed. It is a dump. The couch was so dirty and falling appart I didn't want to sit on it and the rug was spotted and worn. Old wooden tables. Only thing was the bed was comfortable. Not recommended by us.

The rate at this off season time was excellent for a beach side motel. The motel clerk left after 5:00 P.M. and didn't return until 9:00 the next morning, but the room was nice for the price.

Very friendly, clean and comfortable. Pool very clean and well maintained. Nice place to stay to see all the sights and for beach lovers.

"Very Affordable and close to everything"
The hotel was very clean and great location for the price. The only drawback was that our room was close to the stairs and there was a couple fighting late at night all weekend

The room was clean and had a small fridge with microwave. Has pool and on the beach though it is a little walk since it sits back away from the beach, so if you don't mind a small walk and not have the beach outside your door, then this will do for you. Just an hour from home, the Algiers is a great place to get away. Use to bring the family here years ago and still find it inviting. Management was really accommodative and pleasant. I would, and will recommend Algiers.
They didn't have a room for use when we went to check in. We use of a freind who was their to change for a wedding . Come back after the wedding and their sister hotel put us up. And the people there was great.

Great small older motel, looks like it was just refurbished. The Furninshings are cheap tho. The highlight of the motel is that it is right on the beach and bike path. "get what you pay for"
once i gotten to the room i wanted to walk back out. The pictures were deceiving nothing like the pic on internet, no room service, have to ask for towels and tissue, tolet was very loose on floor,bed was uncomfortable.........but i payed for a two star hotel and thats what i got

The first day we arrived the TV remote did not work, the manager came and recalculated it right away. The room was very clean and attractive. During the night the fresh water tank on the toilet began to leak. The management came in at 9:10am(scheduled at 9:00am) We informed this manager (different from the first day) of our problem and asked for more […] towels to dry the floor. He said he would take care of the problem, but after using a large pan from the kitchen and emptying it every 2 hours and soaking14 towels, the problem still persisted. alot of loud harleys go by during day if your room is by road also i had problem with tub and toilet draining did nt say anything to management just stayed 1 night maybe needed roto rooter we have all had this problem from time to time.

Although this is a very old motel, it has been renovated, and is very clean. It is on a private section of the beach, which is just wonderful! It is very basic, but we thought it was a great deal. The location is perfect, and the pool just right. Husband having emergency hip replacement day we return to Ga. Asked for 1st floor. Wouldn't give it. Broken window in bathroom so 100 degree heat came thru and noise unbearable from gulf Rd. Would not have had any noiseif window wasn't broken. i took pictures of it. Room was small but clean and comfy. Would stay their again but their maintence was bad. Great location, near everything yet out of the way. Older, hotel that has been renovated. The front desk clerk, (Robert) was great but if you arrive late you have to go across the street to check in. The only problem was NO ice machine.

This is an older motel but well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. Two factors set it apart: 1. It's pet friendly. This is apparently unusual for beach locations. I had several people ask me where I was staying with my dogs (no dogs on beach but nice walking area on motel grounds). 2. It is beautifully situated on St. Petersburg beach, great access, […] and glorious beach... not the tourist spot that Clearwater Beach is and consequently I consider more relaxing and enjoyable. This is not luxury. It's plain, it's simple, it's old. But if you are looking for value and cleanliness, a pet friendly environment, and a great beach location, you have found the right spot. Be forewarned. The office is open on somewhat sporadic basis. If you arrive after 6 pm, expect it to be closed and a sign directing you elsewhere to get your keys. Lisätietoja

**** For this price, in this location, it wasn't bad. There are no frills whatsoever. It is conveniently located steps from the beach. The hotel itself is older and offers little in the way of insulated noise control. You can hear the street traffic on Gulf Blvd. The room itself has a Queen bed and was clean. "Thunderbird Hotel on Treasure Island"
This property has aged well, attracts a family crowd. Like a tired duchess, all of the amenities are there but some are a bit historic. It is a long walk to the water's edge due to beach improvements. We really enjoyed our balcony overlooking the gulf. Good value for the money.

Wij waren een regelmatige gast van dit Hotel voorjaar 20007 VJ 2008 VJ 2009 20010 geen dagelijkse schoonmaak meer honden toegestaan handdoeken moest je zelf omruilen koffie en thee ophalen bij receptie er werd bier in het zwembad gedronken radios speelde daar bezoek van niet gasten aan het zwembad compleet met koelbox schreeuwen gillen en meer dan dronken […] publiek honden werden uitgelaten in de voortuin we zijn gevlucht na 5 dagen !!!!!!SMERIG SMERIG SMERIG SMERIG!!!!!!!! Aucunement satisfait, l'annonce disait équipé de planche et fer à repasser, linge de cuisine, ustensile cuisine. Rien de tout ça. Pour le service il était pratiquement nul, l'office était fermé de 19:00 à 9:00 hr et ce chaque jours. L'annonce disait que l'entretien se ferait 2 fois semaine, et je n'ai pas eu aucune fois en deux semaines. Leur appellation […] STUDIO est plus ou vrai, c'est plutôt une chambre équipée d'une table branlante et d'un micro onde et mini frigo. La chambre était tellement petite que la table était accotée sur le lit. L'annonce ne reflète pas mais pas du tout la réalité. Je n'y retournerai jamais et ne la recommanderai pas à personne. Sauf l'emplacement sur la plage, il n'y a rien pour attirer le voyageur et surtout pas une deuxième fois. Le coût de la chambre est trop dispendieuse pour la qualité offerte. Cliente insatisfaite. Petit hotel sympathique en bord de plage qui a été rénové intérieurement recemment. Excellent rapport qualité-prix du fait de la situation idéale.
