Kunnostettu backpacker guesthouse, rauhallisempi kuin naapurin Chungking Mansion, korvatulpat hyvä silti olla matkassa. Pienet huoneet, mutta siistit. Palvelu pelaa, kun pyytää. Sijainti oikein hyvä, lentokentän bussi pysähtyy talon edessä ja metroasema kohdalla myös. Kävelymatkan päässä Star Ferrystä ja Kowloonin puistosta.

Good part: The location is convenient, right next to a subway station so it's real easy to get around HK from there. Nice restaurants and services right around the corner. The price isn't too bad. Bad part: The Deluxe room was as terrible as you could expect from the other reviews. We were able to get rid of the disgusting smell by keeping the window […] open and the AC on. The service was unreliable: Reception is supposed to be open from 7 AM, but no one showed up or answered the phone - we had to catch our plane and didn't get our key deposit back. And the elevators in the building aren't at all convenient, so you'll waste a lot of time waiting around for them. The service is okay helpful, but the room is smelly and too small for 2 person. I still have to pay another hk$100 for the wifi and other services. No windows if want to change to a windows room i have to add on hk$100plus to 200 per day!

The room was very dirty. There was a leak in the bathroom, which despite alerting staff to, was not fixed. The toilet was broken and patched up with cellotape. The room was very noisy as well.

This hotel has a good location, there are 2 Entrances for the metro at the TST station which is one station away from the Central station, so you can use the metro well from here. Not much else possitive to say. Check in TIme was 2pm? I was waiting hours as my flight got in in the morning, though they did store my luggage at no charge while waiting […] for the room. Also was an additional fee for booking online, not much like $13USD but it was not stated until I arrived. I arrived at hotel about 1 a.m. and the office was closed. By luck the front security guard called the check in agent. They charge you about a US$12 "Resort Fee" which is buried in the fine print. Don't think I got anything for that. The hotel at least had a glass, but no bath towel at all. I had to use my sweater to dry off.

Transportation convenience is great. But no room services at all. Room is too small, except the bed is clean though.

I had a late check-in due to late flight arrival. When I arrived (after 2 am), the reception was closed, but I used my China mobile phone to call a number that was posted. After a few minutes someone appeared (had been sleeping) and was able to complete the check-in process. There is a sign posted that states guests who arrive late (if I remember correctly, […] after 12 midnight or 12:30 am) will be charged a fee of 50 HK$ for late check-in (I don't remember reading anything about this stipulation on the Expedia website) and stating that reception closes at 12:00 or 12:30 am and advises that arrival time should be included when the reservation is made (again I don't remember reading about this requirement on the Expedia website). I was also charged 100 HK$ for the tourism fee (I thought that the ad on Expedia stated that this was covered in the Expedia charges, but maybe I misread the information there?). The room has an attached bathroom which always had somewhat of a sewer smell to it - not sure where it was coming from - the bathroom was clean enough so maybe it was coming from outside through through a drain that might have not had a trap. The overall quality of the room was lower than the level of a mainland China Home Inns or 168 Motel budget motel but was good enough to sleep in. Wi-Fi Internet was acceptable. Lisätietoja

during our stay, they were remodeling, so it was very noisy. there was no mention of HK $100 service fee in the web page. The bath room is glass, so it's not suitable for family

I did not like the idea of walking up 14 flights of stairs, because the lift was broken, inadequate bedding and lack of towels. The wallpaper was stuck with seller tape. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Location is really good, very near to all transportation, food and malls. Service is poor and hidden charges was not disclose before hand. Overall, value for money hostel stay.

Don't be misled by the photos on Expedia - the USA Hostel is an absolute dive. Located in the "Mirador Mansions", the name might sound posh but this hotel is anything but. I had the misfortune of staying in a private room, which was literally 6 feet long, and 3 feet wide - a shelf, more or less, in a cabinet. At least that's what it felt like! The bedsheets […] were horribly dirty (and cartoon themed, nonetheless). Check in staff was surly and rude, and demanded an additional $10 "Resort Fee" beyond the Expedia price. Resort? Staying here was much like sleeping in a dumpster, by American standards. There was black mold throughout the shower stall, heaps of garbage outside my room door, loose electrical wiring, and rodents scurrying around the entrance of the dilapidated property. STAY ELSEWHERE - I say with full honesty that there's a good chance you'll come away ill from your stay here. Expedia should remove this property from their listings - it's an absolute disaster. If you want a bed, shower and toilet in a location convenient to public transportation, this is the place. But be ready for a cramoed room with no closet. The location and cost were attractive.

its in the center but not family friendly. the staff are not friendly & accomodating but you have to remember its only a hostel-nothing else so dont expect too much. my children doesnt like it esp their bathroom.

i was very unhappy with the filipino staff (she's female and tagalog) who handled our check in. She was rude and unaccommodating and not at all helpful. It's sad because we come from the same country and the chinese housekeeper we met was more helpful even if she had a hard time speaking english. We booked for 2 rooms for the same rate (triple/quadruple […] sharing) but was immensely disappointed with the triple-sharing room they gave us. the bathroom was so tiny and smelly and did not at all have the same amenities as the quadruple sharing room even if we paid for exactly the same amount! The only positive thing about this place is that it's located right next to Tsim Sha Tsui subway station. Other than that, it's horrible. The receptionist seems know everything but just doesn't want to tell you. I called before arriving to asking how to find them since the address looks a little strange to me. He didn't bother to give any detail even […] I repeated my question a few times. Sure enough, when we arrived, there is no sign no direction whatsoever. We asked so many people and eventually found them. They are located in a huge building with residential, businesses(little shops), and some other hostels, and they only own a few rooms at each floor on some floors. As a hostel, there's no any tourist information or activities. They only have hot water in certain hours, but two days in a row, I had take shower with cold water even that was within the hot water operating hours. When I complained to the receptionist, he just said that must be because so many people were taking shower and used out all the water. He sounded like this is normal. He didn't feel sorry, didn't apologize! Attention! this horrible place charge you RESORT FEE of HKD $100. They don't even provide soap, shampoo, no hot water...... what the RESORT FEE is for?! This place is horrible and price was expansive. The building is old and dirty. The neighbors are noise, the room smells, the desk in the room is dirty, bathroom (we got private room) is small. USA Hostels has a nice room, towels changed everyday, they were asking if they can clear our room everyday but due to privacy, we prefer to clean it for ourselves. Nice personnel and service were good. We can recommend it to our friends if they want budgeted accommodation in staying to HK.

It is very basic, just for sleep. We noticed the air conditioner did not seem to work though we did not need it for late December. Mrs Li, the owner is very nice and helpful.

USA Hotel is ideal for all. We had booked two rooms and were happy with the ACCOMMODATION. At such room rate in Hong Kong, our expectation was not high and we knew what was awaiting us. Hotel is along Nathan Road and all shopping and restaurants are nearby. Money changers everywhere.
