Nice little inn in a great location, between Bennington and Brattleboro. The staff, Alicia and Jason were fantastic. The quiet bar in the common area was a nice convenience. Will definitely visit again!

This was a very comfortable B & B run by a young couple who truly know how to make their guest feel welcome. Clean, comfortable and excellent location, easy to find. We would select this location to come to again and use it as our central location for Vermont stay especially during the Peak Fall Foliage time of year.

This inn required some backtracking along my travel route, but I chose it because of the reviews on Hotels.com. From the interstate it is quite a long twisty drive to Wilmington. (I'm working with paper maps - not GPS ). That said, I couldn't have been happier with the warm welcome from Jason, the innkeeper. He recommended a good spot for supper - "Jezebel's", […] just a short walk away, and he and his wife, Alicia, served up a great breakfast in the morning. My room was traditional New England. Run by a very pleasant and helpful young couple.Very relaxed atmosphere, maybe too much so for some. Very clean, good breakfast. Building in need of some care and updating. In a small town, it is close to any places you might wish to eat.

We stayed 1 night only, but we wish we had stayed longer as there was much to see and do during the fall season. The hosts were charming, our room excellent and the quality of the breakfast was superb.

Innkeepers were accommodating and hospitable while respecting privacy. Location is an easy walk (1 minute) to town for shopping, restaurants, stroll by the river. Great place to relax as well as a good central location to other towns, trails, etc. Would go there again.

For a b&b the room the breakfast was excellant the owners we warm and friendly would recommend this place to anyone. the only down side is that the town is in the process of rebuilding from the storms of last year and there is not really much to do. But that in no way is a reflection of the willmington inn

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of June. The inn is the perfect place to just hang out, have some beers, eat good (little expensive) food, and simply relax. The location is great, local restaurant practically right across the street and the brewery down the road has a great selection of local brews and great food.

The plan was to go to Bennington for the weekend, and found this place on hotels.com. Didn't know anything about Wilmington, but what a find! We arrived here in pouring rain and immediately had misgivings as the place looked run down from the outside and there was nobody there; just a note on the door and a phone number. However, once inside we soon dismissed our concerns as the place had a homely atmosphere and our room (Betty’s Room) was pretty, warm and clean although a little on the small […] side. The Wilmington Inn is in a good location to explore southern Vermont. The bedroom was exactly as described and suited us. However, the dining experience was less welcoming. The main dining area was permanently set with at least two tables for parties of six - at no time were they in use. This was a really cute B&B with a very friendly innkeeper. My wife and I stayed here when she met me over a weekend that I was in the area on a business trip. We arrived late at night (after calling ahead) and they left a note on the door for us and the key on the bar. In the morning, breakfast was served promptly at the time they said it would be, […] and it was delicious - especially with the real Vermont maple syrup. Our only regret is that we were leaving the next day and did not have enough time to really enjoy the place for multiple nights. I'm going to write an amazing glowing review for this beautiful little place in Vermont with just a couple of caveats. The owners are amazing, really helpful and friendly. Unfortunately […] the bed was a huge problem for me. I have a back injury, and the super soft sinky mattress, meant I couldn't sleep all night. My girlfriend doesn't have a back problem and she said she couldn't have stayed another night without herself getting a back problem. The only other negative, is that we specifically chose this place based on reviews of the restaurant, and unfortunately it was closed during our stay, so I would recommend calling to ask what the status of their restaurant is. This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. I expected cute decor and a comfortable atmosphere. The decor left much to be desired and we didn't even meet the inn keepers, who I'm sure were very nice, but not around. They left a note on the door and our room key on the bar inside. The key was accompanied by directions and information about […] the town, which was helpful. The bed was comfortable but some of the features of the room needed to be updated. The sink leaked into the garbage can and when we opened the window, it actually fell out into the room so we had to catch it quickly. The hotel was centrally located in the very small town, and there were some shops and restaurants to walk to, but most were closed because of the time of year. So, there was almost literally nothing to do. We decided to go back to the room at night and watch tv, but the tv was about 8x8. We also did not stay for breakfast in the morning because it was served at 8:00 and we left to go to the event at 7:50. Exceptional food and service. A big snow storm hit on our last day. John and Rachel were happy to extend our stay another night. And helped us shovel out our car! We're definitely looking forward to returning to The Wilmington Inn.

My husband and I travelled to Vermont for the first time and had a wonderfull stay at the Wilmington Inn. The Innkeepers were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Leider gibt es momentan kein Restaurant in der Inn, dafür aber etliche Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Bar im Haus halten die jungen Gastgeber aber geöffnet. Das im Preis enthaltene Frühstück wird individuell zubereitet und in freundlichem, rustikalen Ambiente serviert. Das Haus liegt unweit des Zentrums des kleinen Ortes und dennoch relativ ruhig.
