Long Life Riverside Hotel - Hoi An

After all the poor reviews I read about this hotel, I wasn't very optimistic about staying there. However, it had a great location and was within our budget so decided to give it a shot. Whether the staff had made an effort because of previous reviews I am not sure, but we had no problems and found the staff very helpful. At one busy breakfast time, […] some of the dishes needed replenishing, but I just asked and it was done within minutes. Our room was spotlessly clean, plenty of storage space, a nice large bathroom and free internet access. Very comfortable. The staff are a bit surly and could perhaps make more of an effort to show a welcoming approach, but with a little effort on our part they were smiling and interactive. One nice touch was that when we were leaving, we mentioned how much we had enjoyed our stay and they gave us a smal gift to show their appreciation. The hotel has some lovely charateristics and my only criticism is that the dining room could do with the paint freshened up and some of the lampshades need to be cleaned or changed. It would make a big difference. Overall, a pleasant stay and good value. I would definitely stay again. Lisätietoja

We stayed four nights in quite an opulent family room - with a separate room for parents and kids, and a huge bathroom. It was clean, although we suspect the toilet wasn't cleaned everyday. The hotel was perfectly located on the river, a short walk over the bridge to the Ancient Town, and restaurants right outside the front door. When we arrived for our 2 night stay in Hoi An, our cab driver was trying to rip us off. The bell hop came out to help and told us we owed another dollar (on an already overpriced ride). We figured he knew what he was talking about so we gave the buck, but he was actually wrong. Thanks for the help, buddy! But that is nothing compared to what comes […] next. We were told they were so sorry, they did not have our room available. Due to flooding, the door on the 3rd floor balcony room I paid extra for would not close. They said the other room was "the same." I asked if it had a balcony. They said no. So I was like "ummm, then how is it the same?" But, I let the sweet girl show me the other room because I didn't really care about a balcony it was just not that much more money so I "splurged"! The alternate room was in the basement next to the laundry room and reeked of mildew. How the 3rd floor had flood damage and the basement was ok is beyond me. I refused to stay in this disgusting room and asked to see the room where the door wouldnt close because for one night, I could more easily deal with that! But then she said the door wouldn't OPEN so she couldnt show me it. I said, fine, we have to leave then, please give us our money back. Only then did she take us to a better, but still basement mildew room. I was furious- at 10 at night she didnt have the room we paid for and was just trying to see how bad of a room I'd settle for. It was late at night and we were exhausted so we couldn't deal with it after an hour of arguing. The next morning we went to the desk and they said they were working on another room, come back later. At breakfast most of the food was gone and it was just after 8am. They did have an omelette station that was decent, however. For the next 2 hours my husband fought with the staff some more. They would only give us back the money they received from hotels.com, not what we paid for the hotel. They suggested we get the rest back from hotels.com. We were Lisätietoja

Beautifully decorated hotel with great amenities, including a nice pool, PC in room and free use of bicycles. It was conveniently located and in a quiet part of the city. We had a family room which was really a suite with a king and single bed. There was ample space to comfortably fit in another bed. Room had a nice balcony with a great view of the […] river. But highlight of the room was the jacuzzi which was big enough to fit in all four of us. The free use of the bicycles was really appreciated. It was a great way to explore the city, including the beaches. Staff were friendly and helpful with good, honest recommendations. For example, they recommended a good tailor even though they had their own in house tailor. Breakfast was rather basic but reasonable given the price. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good hotel in Hoi An. Lisätietoja

This hotel was absolutely fine,great location and friendly girl on reception. The room was a good size and had separate shower. There were some building works behind hotel which woke us about 7am so not a place for a relaxing lie in.

One of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. Beautiful clean rooms. Staff very friendly and more than happy to help. Great location. Would highly reccomend.

Velmi hezký hotel, prostorné pokoje, bazén, bohaté snídaně formou bufetu, půjčení kol zdarma! Bohužel velmi nepříjemný až arogantní personál hotelu, recepční NENÍ SCHOPNA ZAJISTIT HOSTŮM TRANSFER NA LETIŠTĚ!!!

Saubere Zimmer, nette Dachterasse, sehr nettes und hilfreiches Personal. Bei einem 2-Sterne Hotel darf man keinen Luxus erwarten, aber für den Preis bekommt man ein gutes Zimmer in guter Lage in einer Nebenstraße, 5min. vom Strand.

Helt ok hotell dock något dyrt för den standard man fick. Trivdes bättre på ett hotell som hette Vinh hunh 2 eller snarlikt som var betydligt billigare och i stort set lika bra.
