Good location, friendly, very helpful staff, food - delicious.

Wood Castle is a small family run hotel on a street that is closed off after 11 PM, making it quiet at night. Not far from 2 Metro stations. The staff is very helpful and can arrange cars/tours. This hotel had smallish rooms, but it everything was workable. The service was good and the locational was fine, once you found it. Great value and we would go back.

Room was small but comfortable and adequately equipped. Importantly, linen was clean and in good repair - something not to be taken for granted in India! Its little hard to locate this hotel even for Delhi drivers.

Our stay at Wood Castle Hotel in New Delhi was quite pleasant. It is a retreat from buzzing and polluted Delhi. Service was very good, management helpfull and room was good quality, too. We would stay again at Wood Castle. Location at Karol Bagh is also reasonable, for New Dehli a convient location.

Very helpful staff, good food and excellent value. only one decent restaurant within walking distance and main shopping areas 1 10 min ride a way.

On the positive side: the room was clean and comfortable. It's not far from a metro station so I took the subway into town without any trouble. On the negative side: I waited 45 minutes for breakfast one morning and, when I asked about the wait after 30 minutes, the guy at reception yelled at me. Great staff. Very accomodating!! Very friendly. Very convenient as the staff will help with travel arrangements and food is available all day. Would recommend to others for sure!

Staff were efficient, friendly, and helpful. Airport pick-up went smoothly as planned, and the room, for the price, was clean and comfortable. I would return.

We booked through recommendations through hotel.com as we thought it would give us correct information regarding reputable hotels. However, it was very expensive for a small room that smelled severely of paint (gave us a headache and hindered our sleep after flying all day). The tour desk also linked to this hotel was very expensive.

We stayed at the Wood Castle for 3 nights this month. The hotel is in a funny situation in a residentail street, but it didnt bother us. Inside it is very clean and quiet. The staff are excellant great breakfast that you can have in your room at no extra cost. We left to catch the Agra train at 5.15am and they still served us great coffe and toast even […] at that time of the morning. We had a lovely stay at Wood Castle. Staff were very friendly and hospitable - we were even invited to a Holi party on the hotel roof! All round a comfy oasis in the madness that is Delhi!

Delhi was the first stop on our trip throughout India and we found this hotel recommended on several websites and were very satisfied with it. The building is relatively small, with a narrow staircase and no elevator, however the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom suited our needs. The location is good (but not great), only a few blocks away from the nearest metro station which then allows you to explore the city to your hearts' content. The hotel also offers an airport pick up service which is both cheap and reliable. (recommended!) Please bear in mind that this is India, and for these rates it is hard to find a better bargain! My husband and I were thrilled with our stay at the Wood Castle Hotel in Delhi. This hotel was an excellent value for the price. The hotel was the most well-maintained and comfortable that we stayed at in India. The staff, especially reception, was beyond professional and excellent. The hotel manager responded to all issues promptly and was able to […] answer questions about the surrounding neighborhood and all of New Delhi. One incident really illustrates the service level. We had accidentally left one of our bags at the hotel, upon departure for the airport. We did go back for the bag. The manager arranged for the driver to take us back to the airport at no additional charge. In a place like India with many variables, it is great to know that someone is looking out for you. I daresay that I have not received service so good in American hotels. In the future, we will stay at Wood Castle every time we travel to Delhi. Not the greatest of places. The staff are very keen to sell their tourist add-ons!. It is also a difficult place to find.

The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and helped with all enquires about the surrounding area. The beds were very comfortable and it was a very relaxing escape from the outside world

We stayed in Delhi for a 1 night stopover on the way to Agra. The hotel allowed us to check in early without any extra charge. The room is what you would expect, we had 3 people in the room and it was still quite comfortable. The room was clean and the shower had nice hot water! The hotel organised a well priced car for us to sightsee for the day and […] organised an early morning check out and taxi to the train station to catch the 6.15am Agra train. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quite difficult to find, our taxi driver even called the hotel for directions, asked about 6 different people and it still took some time and driving in a lot of circles! If you have not been to India before you might find the area a bit run down, however I never felt uncomfortable - we were 2 girls and a guy travelling together. Spent one night here after arriving in Delhi, prior to moving on to the north of India for a few days. First time in India and hotel staff could not have been more hospitable! Gave us drinks when we arrived, made sure we knew where we were, took bags to our room. Also we asked for a recommendation of a restaurant as we didn't want to wander for hours […] looking for somewhere and were recommended Raffles. It was fantastic! On the main road in Karohl Bagh and food delicious, freshly made to order etc (it was full of people with young kids which I always think is a good sign!). So good we went back the next day for lunch too! Hotel also very convenient for the superb new metro station - about a 5-10 minute walk. Take detailed map or contact hotel for directions beforehand. I reached a night earlier at 3 in the morning as a friend who was supposed to pick me up had to shoot off to another city. I was given a room for the morning at no extra cost! It is hard to find. But once at the hotel there are several cabs on the street just outside - make sure you bargain, ask them for a price and then just walk down the street talk to other cabbies and mention the price you were quoted - they will undercut it for sure. Really wonderful place to stay for a short duration. The neighborhood isnt exactly the best place in Delhi, but the hotel itself is fab ! It isnt located on the main street and the approach road is a bit too narrow and roughed up. There arent any street signs leading to the hotel. 깨롤박역에서 도보로 10정도 걸리지만 골목에 있어서 조용하고 서비스가 좋습니다. 내부 청결도도 뛰어나고 지하1층 리셉션에서는 항상 컴퓨터 사용가능하고 와이파이도 됩니다. 또한 이곳에서 아침을 먹는데 더 서빙해줍니다. 음식도 맛있구요..무엇보다 룸에서 서비스로 뜨거운 물 신청하면 인도같지않게 엄청 빨리 가져다줍니다. 크리스마스에는 꽁짜로 파티열어줘서 킹피셔와 브리야니 많이 먹었어요. 적극 강추합니다.

호텔 방은 깨끗하고 화장실도 청결하여 인도 호텔로서는 아주 좋았음. 그러나 주변 환경이 불량하고 주소로 찾기 아주 어려움. 이 지역에선 새로운 호텔이 아주 많이 건설되고 있어 보다 싼 가격으로 비슷한 호텔이 많이 있고 큰 시장이 있으며 지하철이 있어 여행객에게는 아주 좋은 위치임. 주변에 건축중인 호텔이 준공되면 거리 분위기가 좋아질 듯.

Stayed at the Wood Castle hotel for two nights late september 2010. The service at the hotel is at a class of itself, personal, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a small alley central new delhi, I believe it can be hard to find, but the hotel provided pickup at the airport so no problem at all. They also helped providing a one day […] sight-seeing of the city that was excellent (we were just passing by from trekking in Nepal). We had dinner and breakfast there as well, brought in from a neighbor kitchen, all very good. 非常に分かりにくい場所にあり、到着するのに苦労した。 事前にgoogleで地図を印刷して、場所に印をつけておきましたが、あまり役に立たなかった。 しかし、ホテルの部屋はきれいで、快適だった。 バスタブがなかったのが残念。 ホテルのオーナーさんは親切で、観光場所への行き方を教えてくださったり、タクシーのハイヤーなどもしてくれました。

This hotel has a small lobby and 2 tables for breakfast. Lot's of tourist come here and it's easy to make contact with other tourists. Hotel is quite new, half a year according to the owners. 10 minutes walk to shopping market and the staff is extremely helpfull.

I found my stay at Wood Castle fine, room was decent, location okay and staff was friendly. Maybe the price should be a bit lower considering the hotel quality, I have stayed better places in Delhi at similar rates and cheaper rates. Charge for airport pick up outrages, more then 3 times the cost of pre-paid taxi.
