Staff at front desk are young and friendly and very capable. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast needs some fruit selection or all carbs are displayed. Safe neighborhood with great coffee shop next door offering fresh morning pastries.

Not in a great neighborhood. Got panhandled twice in five minutes. Not sure about safety of parking car in the street. Very clean rooms , but tiny. Small continental breakfast in the am was great to grab a quick snack. National coffee chain across the street was a plus! Ask for a room away from ice machine and street.

The room was small but comfortable and clean. The paper thin walls and humming elevator meant that noises kept me up most of the night. A small parking lot behind the hotel meant I didn't have to pay extra, but I was lucky to find a spot. The walls seem very thin -- even by New York standards. There were loud sounds of cleaning very late at night and talking early in the morning. You could hear everything. The room was very clean and there was free parking but we would not stay here again because it was so hard to sleep.

The rooms were small, but clean. The subway and bus are an easy walk. Breakfast was above average. It is a great location for my visits to Brooklyn.

This was right after Sandy, and the hotel staff were very helpful. Room was clean and fine. I only had to stay here one night but this is a gem of a hotel in Brooklyn. Because of my job, I have stayed in quite a few hotels across the country and this place far exceeded my expectation. Would recommend them 100%.

Hotel has a very good location, near subway station, the neighborhood is not one of the nicest but is safe, the hotel is clean and have parking without surcharge, few spots though. Small room, typical of NY area. Short walk to subway, but would not walk around at night. Room was noisy, small kids running in hallway and banging doors at 1 am. Bed was comfortable but king took up the whole room.

Room was small as you would expect in Brooklyn. However, the lobby and the room was very clean and very nice. Bathroom had everything needed plus a soft fragrant shampoo and conditioner. Large screen tv in room. Quiet, comfortable; we would stay there again in the future.

The hotel itself was fine. The neighborhood left something to be desired. Parking was a real problem. The biggest issue was a worker was putting stuff away in a storage room at 3 am. Every time he would leave, the door would slam shut extremely load. This happened about 20 times within five minutes. La Quinta Inn Brooklyn was great value. The rooms are small but well appointed. We appreciated the fact that we asked for, and was assigned, a quiet room. Free parking is also a bonus

Breakfast and breakfast room cleanliness was among the poorest I have ever encountered.

Car parking limited but can park in street though often difficult in Brooklyn and watch the restrictions. Leave the car and use local car services, quick and reasonable (we use Arecibo in Brooklyn). We were 12 hours late getting there but was able to phone the hotel and they were ready for us with a quiet room. Friendly and helpful staff.

The breakfast was disapointing. The waffle maker was broken both mornings. The second morning had even less choice - one kind of dry ceral, only bread for toast, no bagels or pastry. The breakfast was not as advertised. The first night we ran out of toilet paper with no backup roll in the room.

Great staff. Hotel is close to subway. Area is quite safe, came back from Manhattan late (11:30 pm) several nights, no one about, nothing scary. Loads of little food cafes in the area, Subway and Dunkin' Donuts across the street as well as 24 hour convenience store at the end of the block. Breakfast is adequate, bagels, toast, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt […] and fruit. Also you can make your own waffles, though this is tedious as it only makes one at a time. The breakfast area is small but you can load up and take your stuff to your room for the rest of your party. Breakfast is over at 9 on weekdays, which we didn't realize so we went when they were cleaning up and they still let us have stuff from the pantry. Considering the prices of hotels in Manhattan, this hotel is a great find in an up and coming area. Would certainly stay again. It is not posh, but its clean, no bedbugs and is also safe. Hotel is 4 blocks from the f and r subway lines, in brooklyn (roughly 20 minutes from Manhattan downtown stations). Rooms are well kept and clean. Staff needs to be more attentive though: when having breakfast 10 minutes before the breakfast closing time and got a very bad tempered clerk when we asked for additional milk. Hotel is small with no public toilet in the lobby. A staff person opened the janitor bathroom for us while we waited to check in. Staff are friendly. Hotel is clean. NO BEDBUGS!!! Very tight squeeze in our room two full size beds with about a foot to spare next to the bathroom. There were 5 of us one slept on the floor in a sleeping bag. Didn't bother […] trying to get a cot as there was no room to put it. We chose this hotel because of reviews on line and the very reasonable cost compared to staying in Manhattan..The subway is only a few blocks away so we got to enjoy NYC for much less. My cousin and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights & I was happy with the service I got. The hotel is only 2 blocks away from the R & F trains which took us everywhere we wanted to go in less than 30 minutes. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions to the best of their ability. I would stay there again.

Upon our arrival we were quite disappointed in our basement room very small.Unfortunately we did have a king size bed ,however their was 3 of us and were unable to obtain another room a cot was brought in for additional charge. It was very discomforting as there was no room to open dresser drawers or even get into bed without climbing over other persons […] or trying to answer the phone. As the night progressed we were awaken by a party in the next room which was exacerbated by door slamming and screaming ,recalcitrant until 5.am. Chose this hotel because it is convenient to Park Slope. Room was on the small side but well laid-out and everything was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Room had a mini-fridge but no microwave. Would certainly stay there again and/or recommend to others.

I had reservations for two rooms. I was told I only reserved one room. when I showed my confirmation he immediatly gave me a smaller room and did not tell me it was smaller. We spent the night in Brooklyn then headed to a wedding in New Jersey. During our stay it was comfortable but the walls were paper thin, but you get what you pay for. Our rental car battery died on us twice when we were in the Brooklyn area and both times people were very nice with helping us (not even allowing us to pay them for a jump). The lady at […] the front desk was extremely considerate seeing as the checkout time was 11am but allowed us to keep the vehicle in the free parking lot for a few hours while we went out for lunch in Manhattan and did a little shopping. The beds were comfotable, the room was clean, the people were friendly.... only not so great thing was the amount of noise from the elevators and other guests. My friend and I shared a room at La Quinta which I chose because it was reasonably priced and about a mile from the Brooklyn academy of Music (BAM) where we had tickets for a dance performance. It was for only one night and although small, was clean and served our purpose.
