Farmhouse - Portsmouth

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The on-site facilities were very convenient (hungry horse restaurant, indoor play barn). The location was just a short drive from everything we wanted to see. The price was cheap and the hotel a lot better than we expected. It was a bargain and we'd go back again.

With this hotel, you get what you pay for.....and more. Staff were really friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were a bit tired but perfectly serviceable. Attached pub was excellent and the breakfast was good, if slightly over priced. As someone who stays in many hotels I would certainly take my family there again.

Price was low, bed was comfortable, convenient location, but In great need of refurbishment. Bathrooms were very 'tired', the carpets in the hallways were taped down in places. The ajoining pub also needed a face lift. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday and there was karaoke and a packed family area. I would suggest staying here for the price and location […] for your trip. The hotel is owned by Green King and has an adjoining pub alongside which is popular with locals. Big screen televisions show football and the cheap, chain pub food attracts families and lads alike. There is a quieter bar between the pub and hotel but i did not try it. The hotel itself is quiet. The room i stayed in was clean and of a Travelodge type […] standard. The bathroom was dated with a very noisy extractor fan. With a bathroom update they could probably get away with charging more so what i paid was a fair reflection. On arrival they swiped my card and left it open ,nxt morning I came down and paid bill only to find the the nxt day they had taken Out an extra 75 pounds it was nightmare to get hold of even a manager never mind someone that new what they were doing after being put on hold and around 6 phone calls I was so angry and I phoned head office , still waiting […] for my Money back according to them that's normal and the bank was holding it incase we left without paying ? Easy to find, big car park with free parking. Reception staff was very helpful. We had a spacious room which was very quiet, no traffic noise. Cleanliness was ok. Bathroom was slightly tired with the shower only being adjustable to either hot or very hot. And the sink tap was wobbly. Otherwise it was fine. This hotel is very nice good value for money. I sruggle to sleep with the road noise when I normally sleep at hotels but this was peaceful. Very good value for money and I will definately stay there again for business. Great hotel at a fantastic price.

good location for a traveller with a3m,m27,a27 and routes to the midlands. no facilities within walking distance but ther is a sort of residents lounge/restaurant. excellent value menu. good parking. stayed 4/5 times but this time residents restaurant closed, had a room with disabled facilities (iam not) which was very tired and a strange smell. gents […] toilet flloded towels on floor to soak up sewage booked wake up call with reception ,service entered by staff for automatic call but didnt work,could have been a problem as we were on the 0830 ferry to france. Good and clean room. modern and simple. just fine for business traveller which I was. However arrived just before midnight to check in. I had phoned earlier in day to confirm someone would let me in as I was finishing work at midnight. I did finish earlier than scheduled but no one answered the door even after ringing bell four times! This hotel is good value, easy to get to and as long as you aren't looking to compare it against the larger chains it is really functional. The rooms are really roomy, clean and fine for a night, the decor is dated but fairly clean - this is fine if you are on business, need space, some where to freshen up and looking for good value.....you wont be […] shocked as you can be with some 'value 4* hotels' I've experienced in London. I liked the single story layout of the hotel and the rooms were pleasantly large. having all night staff was a plus.

Very happy with this hotel. The staff worked very hard and were helpful. Comfortable stay. Very reasonable restaurant. All in all very good value.

A nice basic motel style hotel. Rooms looking a little "tired" however, very comfortable and clean. Very good breakfast and pleasant service.

We had absolutely no problem with the staff who were friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel is quite shabby and needs some updating, but the bedroom and bathroom were clean, although the carpets could have done with a clean (I know my husband owns an industrial carpet cleaning company!

nice pub with cheap food and drinks, good location. the breakfast could be better, not a big selection..

Although the staff were friendly and the room was clean and adequate I would not rate this hotel as 4 star. It is attached to a pub in the middle of an out of town shopping complex and I would say it was more Travel lodge standard, quite basic.

Fantastic service, much better service than some that I have experienced in much more expensive hotels. All staff were friendly and welcoming. and appeared to want to be at work. Will be going there again if I have to stay in Portsmouth again.

Opplevde at hresepsjonspersonalet var svært uoppmerksom, så ikke opp fra Pc-skjermen når vi gikk forbi skranken og ga ikke beskjed om hvor måltidene skulle inntas når den vanlige Lounge ble stengt pga lekkasje. Ba om glutenfri mat, det kunne ikke skaffes. Fikk beskjed om at jeg kunne ta taxi til et supermarked i Fratton og kjøpe der. Kun to middagsretter […] var glutenfri. Dette oppfatter jeg som svært dårlig service! Mailadress til hotellet mangla på nettsida, så jeg fikk ikke anledning til å kontakte dem på forhånd. Lisätietoja
