We found it convenient to the Tasmanian ferry terminal and close to some good restaurants. It was in a part of Melbourne with some interesting exploring to do. Overall, we found staying at the Biz Motel good value for money and a satisfying experience.
When we first arrived I didn't like the smell of the place but I think this was just the aircon smell. Once we settled in we loved the place. Lovely cool room ample space to move around. Helpful staff and good security. Close to trams and eateries. "Biz hotel in December"
we stayed at the biz from December 15,16,18 - the customer service provided by Bradley and Tom was great. From getting additional blankets to safe keeping our luggage while we went on our tour for two days. The only thing i would mention is that there be a phone or intercom that links to a security after hours as we didn't have a cell phone and had […] to go to great lengths to find one (no close pay phones either.) "Not bad for the money but could be better"
We did not use the room for anything other than sleeping in as we went sightseeing everyday. The bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean. We did experience quite a bit of noise from the lifts and the fridge in the room but otherwise it was fine. Having looked around the city we would be inclined to stay nearer the St Kilda beach area and get […] the trams in to the city when we wanted. Having only been to Melbourne once before I think I've found a bit of a gem. Personally I love the city but am happier if I don't have to stay in it. Just 1.7km from Flinders st station encouraged my love of a good stroll to all the major attractions in town. If I found anything disappointing it was just that my check in time was pushed back to 3:30 […] instead of the 2:30 that was advertised on line,BUT that just means that these folk were busy and that always makes for a better motel. My experience was very positive, I arrived early and was shown to a room. The reception & the cleaning staff were very helpful and kind providing me with all that I needed. Everything worked well in the hotel room and it was a short walk to a great choice of food, shopping facilities and the tram to the city. "Good alternative to CBD prices!"
Wasn't sure about this place when we booked, but ended up being GREAT location! Clarendon street has all kinds of restaurants, easy to get to CBD-Melbourne on the trams, free wi-fi was the winning ticket!
"Our Stay"
We selected this motel from various others because of the price and availability of a tram within a block for access to StKilda's Palet Theatre. We were also close to the shops in South Melbourne but had little time to see them all. We were only looking for a place to rest after seeing a show instead of driving home for 300km. Wenn man den Preis im Vergleich zu dem Komfort und der Lage sieht, bietet das BIz-Motel sehr viel. Es lohnt sich dort zu übernachten. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, es gibt sogar eine Spüle, ein Bügelbrett und Bügeleisen, einen Kühlschrank, eine funktionierende Klimaanlage, die wärmt oder kühlt, je nach Bedarf. Auf Nachfrage bekommt man Besteck und Geschirr, […] falls man sich selbst verpflegen möchte, die Innenstadt ist erlaufbar bzw sher gut über Tram zu erreichen udn trotzdem ist die Übernachtung relativ günstig.
