Best Western Point South - Ridgeland

had to wait too long to check in, also was asked several times to wait while front desk answered phone. also when we tried to check in we were told our reservation wasn't valid even though we had confirmation number then manager came over and said yes our reservation was good. Pool heater was not working and pool was very dirty.

Very incompetant people at reception desk! Took forever to check in. The walk in front of the rooms was not swept, leaves all over. The room smelled horribly like smoke and was small and dingy. When the toilet was flushed, a pipe started to leak a lot of water on the floor, in the bathroom the water not go down as it shoudl have..... One of the beds […] had a piece of 4 inch wide iron sticking out that proved dangerous as it was covered by the bedskirt causing bruises... The bed looked dingy including the pillows, linen crooked on the pillows and bed... To get to the outdoor pool you have to walk through the hotel where the laundry facility is located viewing the dirty linen and the water overflowing from who knows where.... The covered pool area was filthy including the water....No,, would never stay at that facility ever again. However next morning the young woman at the receptionist desk was very helpful! Lisätietoja

One word - Heated Indoor Pool - OK maybe three. Breakfast at attached Denny's included! Great Stay!

We were very dissappointed with this property. Very old and run down. The room smelled, the toliet backed up and ran onto the carpet, as I sat in the chair to try and find a new hotel, the chair leg slid out from under me. It had been broken but not replaced. Nice hotel. clean and staff was very kind.The bed were a bit hard but, not terrible.The indoor pool was heated and the free breakfast at Denny"s was delicious.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Best Western Point South. The room was clean and comfortable. Oh, don't want to forget the Denny's that's connected the pancakes are delicous.

On our second night of a 2 night stay, we arrived at our room to find that our keys did not work. We went to the front desk to find out why. We were told very rudely that we would not be allowed into our room until the balance on our bill had been paid. We had prepaid for our 2 night stay, which we explained to the young woman who was the same woman […] who had checked us in the night before. She insisted that we owed a balance and that her boss had instructed her not to renew the keys until it was paid. We had to produce our receipt from our online payment at which point she called her boss to find out what to do. She said that she was to get off work at 9:00 and "she didn't care what happened, she was going home." After discussion with her boss our keys were reactivated, but we received no apology. This is a older hotel,staff was friendly, good breakfast at Dennys , good price.

The hotel was i little far from Parris Ilasnd but still an ok drive. having the Dennys onsite was really nice.

Convenient location, Great Value! Definitely would stay again.

I am fairly certain that with the exception of truckers or the few that are passing by, the only reason to come to this area is for the Marine Corps training facility on Parris Island, the Graduation Ceremony to be precise. The Denny's connected to the lobby was very convenient, and the free breakfasts were also very much appreciated. Word of advice: […] get there early, as it tends to get quite crowded later in the morning. The hotel has a pool, however that's not my thing, so I couldn't tell you how that was. The condition of the room was less than stellar. There appeared to be "re-painting" on the walls; (IE patchwork.) The carpets seemed a bit worn, but clean. For the money it is a great hotel, but don't expect anything extra or "fancy." Upon returning every night, my room was cleaned very well. Everything was restocked and made orderly. That was much appreciated. Basically, if you need to stay here for a few nights on business or, as I was, to attend the graduation, then I would recommend this hotel. -AK Lisätietoja

Beds were comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. Breakfast at Denny's was better than most complimentary breakfasts at other hotels. Overall, it was a good experience.
