SpringHill Suites by Marriott Irvine - Orange County

The front desk personnel were always friendly and helpful.

The walls were very thin and with a someone who snorer in the next room it was not a restful nights sleep. Hotel staff was unable to accommodate a room change and initially double charged us for the room.

I have no complains about this hotel, everything was perfect, my family will stay here again. Thank you!!!

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past year and have found the rooms clean and roomy, staff friendly and the breakfast selection excellent, location was excellent.

In todays world where we want to get a good rate but also ensure that our stay at a hotel is clean, safe and comfortable; I have really come to rely on SpringHill Suites by Marriott to delivery a consistent postive experience in each category. Highly recommended.

Clean with great space in the room. Nice features and good breakfast included. I would recommend Irvine Spectrum Center Mall to dine or shoping.

I stayed here with my wife and three boys (ages 17, 5, and 3) for a trip to various Southern California tourist attractions. The reviewer ratings and reasonable price caused me to jump in for a few days. While I don't regret it, I have some comments that should at least give people a better idea of the hotel and its attributes. First, this is not really […] a suite. It is a decent-sized rectangular hotel room with a partial wall separating a sitting area from the sleeping area. The wall affords no real privacy. Second, the room itself is nicely set up. There is a large walk-in closet, and separate bath/shower and toilet rooms. It is clever. One maddening thing - the doors to the bath/shower and toilet areas do not lock. This is frustrating when little ones are around. Third, the room has a small microwave and a fridge. Awesome if you have kids. Fourth, there is a nice workout room with various ellipticals, treadmills, and exercise bikes, along with free weights. There are TVs on the machines, and there is a TV posted on the wall. Fifth, there is an indoor pool. Contrary to what others have said, it IS heated, though it isn't heated as warm as we would have liked it. There is no jacuzzi, though. Sixth, there is a putting green, which the kids enjoyed before the rains came. Seventh, there is free wi-fi, that had decent bandwidth and reliability. Eighth, there are a number of sundry and snack items available for purchase in the lobby, which is good, because there is nothing within easy walking distance to eat. There are a number of restaurants about a mile away though. Ninth, there is a free continental breakfast, with sausage, scrambled eggs, belgian waffles, cereals, yogurts, and pastries and juices. The breakfast area was well-attended, and items ran out constantly. On a Sat and Sun, there were no milks left, no yogurts left, and there was insufficient waffle batter frequently. Great place. Stayed here due to the high prices in Anaheim and Buena Park. Totally worth it for the short drive to Disney, etc. Plus, spacious rooms.

Very modern interior. The room was spacious. The layout with almost two bathrooms was neat if two people were in the room. My one complaint was the sink with the shower did not seem to have hot water. I washed my face with cold water. However the bed was comfortable. The workout room had excellent variety. I love Springhill Suites but I have to say, the walls and ceiling are very thin and since it was busy, I could hear everything and had to call down to complain. The staff was great and handled my request asap, but I was there for business and need quiet and rest. This is such a great chain and lots of room it's a shame Marriott didn't spend more money […] on better overall construction (like insulation). But I would still recommend the hotel and the chain. I was very pleased with this hotel. Very clean, neat, everything in very good condition. Free parking and complimentary breakfast are big pluses. Problems: Only two dollies available to transport luggage from parking lot to the rooms and people tend to leave dollies in their room. As a result, when you need one, you might not get one and hotel staff […] have no way of locating them for you. I thought the room was very nice. The Shower area only had two towels in the shelves. That was interesting. Also you can't lock the bathroom door, so you just slide it closed and pray no one walks in on you. Not withstanding those small inconveniences it was a nice stay.

wonderful. decor was cool. comfortable. Pool was a little cold but otherwise it was GREAT!

I was very pleased with this room! We had the King w/ sofa sleeper which was perfect for our son. One thing I really loved about this hotel the rooms have separate toilet areas w/ sink, you rarely see that!!! All of the pillows are feather pillow and the bed was so comfortable. We really like this place and will stay again.

Very nice room, perfect for two people -- semi-separate living + sleeping areas, plus 2 "half baths." Excellent location for airport, freeway access, shopping. The immediate area is mostly offices, not much retail or commercial, but good restaurants aren't far. Excellent breakfast buffet. We have stayed here before and will return.

Well-run and clean hotel. I stayed on business and it was fine for that (desk and plentiful outlets in the room). I could also see it being good for a Disneyland trip with the family though.

Family trip to is Disneyland and we stayed here. It was about 10 minutes to the park and then about 10 minutes to the beach. Very clean, quite new, wonderful little breakfast in the morning. Liked the separate shower and toilet rooms.

I would return. My only disappointment is in the lack of a restaurant in the hotel itself.

We were extremely pleased with our hotel stay. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only negative was that although its called a "suite", its really not. The hotel was clean, modern, very comfortable. Had a single king room and was very happy with the bed and the pillows. Loved the fact that the room not only had a refrigerator but also a microwave; makes it possible to bring home restaurant leftovers without knowing you'll just be eventually throwing them out. The coffee in the lobby was very good and was available all the time. The lobby also has a variety of foods, snacks, beverages, and assorted necessities; not sure what kind of pricing these items had, but the fact they were available is a nice addition in a hotel. We ended up spending all our time in Newport Beach, which was a pretty easy trip by rental car for two adults; with a child I might have preferred to be a shorter drive from the beach but it wouldn't have been too bad. Overall, the hotel had very easy access to and from major highways making it very convenient for getting around to different areas. If I stay in the area again, I would definitely stay here again. Very clean with contemporary style furniture. Cosy bed and pillows. We had five guests and slept five comfortable. If you like airplanes then you get a good view of all day airport traffic. Loved this hotel. The lobby was amazing. The room set-up was great for our girls roadtrip weekend! The bathroom has the tub and sink in one room and the toilet and pedistal sink in another. Great walk-in closet. Beds were very comfortable and for the hotel being close to an airport...the room was very quiet. Hotel staff very friendly. My girlfriend and I had the first flight out to San Francisco on the Fourth of July so I decided to get a room near John Wayne Airport. With only a couple days notice all the other hotels in the area were either booked or charged TWICE as much! We checked in at 3:00 and were VERY satisfied with the room. After a night at work we got back to our room […] and went to bed and got a GREAT night of sleep. I usually toss and turn for an hour or so and I usually get up once or twice when I'm not sleeping in my own bed, but I slept straight through the night and didn't get up until my alarm went off at 5:00 AM! WOW! what a great night of sleep and we were only 5 minutes away from John Wayne Airport! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone who plans on staying near the airport. Our stay was wonderful, beds very comfortable.

It was fine for a quick business trip overnight. Good location. Free wi-fi, free parking and complimentary breakfast made it a good deal.

We came to get away for the weekend. The hotel was easy to find, easily accessible, quiet. Recommend it for anyone.

Was attending a local meeting and this hotel worked out great. Nice Flat Screen TV in the room that allowed me to practice the presentation with a colleague by hooking up the laptop. Althought the place was beautiful and modern, we did find that when we went to the pool, the water was not heated and on top of that the airconditioning was on which made it impossible to bathe without freezing. Also, the second day of our stay, the hotel failed to properly inform us that they had an electricity cut schedulled which was a great inconvenience. […] The hotel it self was clean and beautiful! This is a one year old hotel. And so everthing is still new and clean. Tow things I noticed. 1. Water leacks through the showere room door and I have asked them twice but they did not repaired it dureing 3 nights and 4 days i stayed there and there for when I come out of shower room floor water was on floor and it was very uncomfortalble. 2. Need […] more people on Breakfast floor. Something is missing all the time. One day kechap was not there and next day, no toast. This is one of Marriott's best new concepts in a long time. Clever use of space; contemporary, warm design. Nice desk/work area; comfortable bed, and -- Hooray -- an alarm clock anyone can set. Yup, no power. No hot water. Closed pool. No refund...yet. Horrible experience. Pretty hotel and good location are the only things going for this place.

Stayed here for a 4-day weekend with the kids. It's location is very convenient and central to all the local OC attractions (15 min to Disney, 20 min to Knottsberry Farm, 10 min to OC Great Park, etc.) Good sized room, nice bright decor. Bed pillows were so comfortable you almost fall asleep as soon as your head hits them. Separate toilet / shower rooms […] was a plus. I stayed one night at the Spring Hill Suites and found the room to be very nice, clean, and comfortable. The only downside for me was that without a car there was nowhere near to eat or drink.

Really enjoyed the one night stay. Staff and hotel very efficient! Seems business centric hotel, with a convient location, to airport and the Newport and South Orange area!Would stay again. Rooms are modern. Only complaint, I arrived late would like to have enjoyed the indoor pool.

This is a great, new hotel. Great location, free parking and internet, friendly, knowledgeable staff, large, super clean rooms. A few short falls would be that the elevator is loud. Request a room away from it. The housekeeping staff slams around a lot in the morning. Ask to stay away from the laundry and linen rooms. The breakfast is busy! Get up early […] and take it back to your room if you want to enjoy it. Since air travel at the airport slows/stops after 10 PM you don't really need to worry about air traffic being too loud.
