I cannot say enough positives things about this hotel. The location is ideal, so close to all the ruins. The view from the restaurant was perfect as well as great food. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Rast is located in the heart of Sultanahmet, and if you are a tourist in istanbul you will probably spend much of your time in this area so it's a great location. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar are all within walking distance. Our room had a small refrigerator and a small TV with a lot of Turkish channels and one or two English language ones. The staff is very helpful and friendly and accommodating. Also, the terrace restaurant has a truly amazing view and offers many breakfast choices, all for free. This was a great hotel - the location was outstanding, the staff very courteous and attentive to my wife and little daughter. Breakfast was a treat because the food was good and the view was incredible. This place was a very good value for the money. And they are making updates - while I was there they were revamping the restaurant with no furniture […] and layout. They are not resting on their laurels. Convenience, location, nice staff, nice rooms, incredible view from roof terrace and breakfast wasn't bad either...

We booked this hotel through the website and couldn't have been more thrilled. The staff was amazing (right down to bringing up birthday cake for my girlfriend's birthday) as well as complimentary early transport to the airport on our departure. Hotel location was best. The room was clean and of good size, Breakfast was good. WiFi was headache, I had to work from offsite but wasnt able due to WiFi / Internet issue and no one was willing to help. Wonderful location with a very polite and attentive staff! We had a very minor problem with the room that they not only addressed quickly but also provided a free shuttle to the airport to compensate us for our (very minor) inconvenience! We will definitely stay at the Rast again!!!

The stuff was extremely helpfull and friendly. Location could not be better for the sights and shopping. Only little minus was that there was some noice from the street, but it did not bother during the night. Breakfast was perfect.

This Hotel delivers a lot more than promised. The staff are amazing, courteous, friendly informative and extremely helpful. I was expecting much less, it's a truly warm place, the staff are amazingly warm and helpful. The Hotel is superbly located and safe. Having traveled the world, it's one of the best experiences I have had.

As others have said, unsurpassed view from the excellent breakfast on the top floor. The hotel is ten steps from the main street and a few more from a tram stop in a central location for visiting the mosques and the rest of the old city. The hotel is small and well appointed, the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The Rast is very conveniently located, and can be reached easily by the tram system from the airport.

Friendly, attentive staff. Good breakfast buffet on roof patio with great views of major sites in the historic district. Several resturants nearby and 2 blocks from tram stop. Blue Mosque and Haiga Sophia were only blocks away.

A small but very comfortable and smart room. The hotel is in a very central location in Sultanahment and the view from the rooftop cafe is amazing.

Very enjoyable stay. The hotel is of a high standard and is convenient for all the major sights. The rooms are small(ish) but very good. The staff are excellent. We spent 4 days, 3 nights after getting off the cruise ship. The hotel staffs are very friendly, the room are spacious and clean. The most enjoyable moments are the morning breakfast in the roof top cafe, where you can enjoy the magnificent sunrise. For the same price, we have much better hotel experience than the one in Athens, Greece.

Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Pluspunkt ist die Dachterrasse mit grandiosem ausblick. Negativ: Wir haben gebucht und bezahlt: Kingsizebett, Balkon, Ausblick auf Meer und Blaue Moschee Bekommen haben wir Zimmer im 2. Stock, ohne jeglichen ausblick, sehr laut und zwei Einzelbetten

Vi, en familie på 4, forældre og 2 voksne børn, var alle meget, meget tilfredse med alt på dette skønne hotel. Værelset med en opredning, var rent og fin med plads. Kan varmt anbefale dette hotel. Beliggenheden er central, super service fra personalet, fint værelse og dejlig morgenmad på øverste etage med den fantastiske udsigt udover hele Istanbul.

Emplacement idéal de l'hôtel à deux pas de la Mosquée bleue, de Ste Sophie, du Grand Bazar et du tramway. Superbe vue sur ces deux monuments depuis la terrasse. Très bon accueil. Chambre propre et très bon état général de l'hôtel. Petit déjeuner varié et bon. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Hotelets läge var perfekt! Vi var mindre nöjda med taxichafförens punktlighet, eftersom vi med 2 små barn fick vänta i 50 minuter trotts att vi fick besked från receptionisten om att han skulle varit på plats inom 10 minuter. Das Hotel Rast liegt zentral und deshalb halt auch ein bisschen lärmig (Verkehrslärm) was uns jedoch nicht gestört hat. Die/der Frühstücksterrasse/raum bietet einen wundervollen Ausblick, das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine grosse Auswahl. Die Angestellten an der Reception sind sehr hilfsbereit.

Vi bodde på hotellet i 5 døgn. Hotellet har et av byens alle beste beliggenheter! Det ligger i en rolig sidegate, samtidig som det er bare 50 meter til en masse koselige restauranter! Det er bare 100 meter å gå til t-banen, som forbinder hele byen. Det tar 5 min. å gå til de kjente severdighetene, eller et t-bane stopp. Frokosten serveres i øverste […] etasje og har greit utvalg. Den har en stor utendørs terrasse med fantastisk utsikt over hele byen! Vi hadde rom i 3.etg. med twin bed senger. Rommet vårt var romslig med plass til bord og en stol, men jeg tittet inn i et rom med dobbeltsenger i samme etasje- der var det svært trangt. Det var imidlertid svært lytt til rommet ved siden av, men man står jo opp tidlig uansett! Sengene er harde, vi liker de gode og myke. Hotellsenger i Tyrkia er generelt svært harde, disse er langt fra de hardeste vi har vært ute for. Hotellet anbefaler et tyrkisk bad som heter Suleymaniye haman, som de gir ut brosjyre på. Dette er et eldgammelt haman fra 1550, men styr klar av dette! Det er rent lureri. Hamamet samler opp gjester fra mange hoteller og henter dere på hotellet. Dere sitter ca 40 min som sild i tønne på en liten benk for å vente på massasje. Massasjen varer i maks 10 minutter! Så sitter dere og venter på ingenting i ca 30 min, mens de selger drikkevarer. Når du endelig er tilbake på hotellet, er det gått 90 min! Vi har vært på mange hamam rundt omkring i Tyrkia - dette er rent lureri! Vi ga beskjed i resepsjonen - forhåpentligvis har de sluttet å anbefale stedet. Jeg synes byens beste shoppingsenter er Cevahir. Det er stort og moderne, har 343 butikker og du tar t-banen til stoppestedet Sisli. Hotellet hentet oss på flyplassen, gratis - siden vi bodde i flere dager! 2x2 voksne tilbragte 4 storartede dage i Istanbul med base på Hotel Rast. Hotellets beliggenhed i Sultanameth kvarteret er fremragende med byens verdensberømte attraktioner Den blå Moske, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Paladset. Den store Bazar og den Egyptiske Bazar alle indenfor gåafstand. Vil man videre i byen går der sporvogn lige uden for døren. Hotellet […] er lille og særdeles hyggeligt med sine kun 29 værelser. Værelserne er små, men det er jo ofte vilkårene midt i en storby. Værelsesbelysningen kunne være bedre. Fra morgenmadsrestauranten på 6. sal er der storslået udsigt over byen, med Den blå Moske meget tæt på som enestående fotokulisse. Alt det personale -reception, morgenmadsrestaurant, transferchauffør m. fl. -vi var i kontakt med, var uden undtagelse meget imødekommende, hjælpsomt og serviceorienteret. Rast hotel var et perfekt hotel! Personalet var så søde og hjalp os hele tiden, spurgte til hvordan vi havde det og om vi manglede noget hver dag! Placeringen af hotellet kunne ikke være bedre da det ligger i sultanahmet, hvor mange af de vigtige seværdigheder er placeret så som den blå moskee (sultanahmet moskee), hagia Sophia museum, den store bazar, […] islamisk og tyrkisk museum, topkapi palace osv osv! :) det mest fantastiske ved fast hotel er den fantastiske udsigt man har når man spiser morgenmad eller aftensmad på hotellets 6. Recomendo este hotel para quem quer tranquilidade e ao mesmo tempo estar perto da rua principal, da Mesquita Azul, de muitos restaurantes e lojas.

Hotell med sentral beliggenhet, med nærhet til de viktiste severdigheter og serviceorientert personale. Frokostrestaurant med flott utsikt.

Kunne vært litt mere plass til å sette fra seg toalett saker på badet, vi var 3 damer på rommet .-) Kjempe fin tak terrasse, med flott frokost..

hotel muy bien situado, cerca del Tram (transvia) con un personal muy amable y siempre atento a cualquier deseo de los clientes habitaciones pequeñas pero limpias, camas muy buenas. desayuno en la terrassa con vista panoramica sobre el Bosforo.

교통이 대단히 편리했구요. 스태프들도 무척 친절했습니다. 방은 깔끔하고 안락했구요. 아시다시피 술탄아흐멧지역의 숙소는 대부분 작다는 점은 감안하셔야 합니다. 방이 작습니다. 그래도 외국인들의 댓글처럼 가방 두개 놓으니 걸어다닐 곳도 없었다 하는 정도의 방은 아닙니다. 더블룸에 묵었는데 둘이 묵기 좋았습니다. 아침식사는 매우 훌륭한 편이었구요. 잘 묵었습니다. 추천합니다. 가격대가 맞으시면 자꾸 시간 보내며 고민하지 마시고 선택하셔도 좋을듯 하네요.
