iStay Precinct - Adelaide

All things were good.

Negatives1. No carport buzzers on first night, had to run in and get them to open gate but still had to pay full price 2. Not all glasses were there. (only one tall glass!) 3. The sink had a leak in it and the cupboard underneath got soaked with water. 4. DVD player with ipod dock did not work 5. There were a few black marks on the bedroom walls, and […] small drops of blood (EW BLOOD!!) around the bedroom door frame and near the sink. 6. When checking out, we handed back the buzzer for the carpark and he said he would let us out when we got to the gate, then forgot so passenger had to go back in. 7. 'King' bed was just 2 single beds pushed together, making sleep bit less comfortable.. Although there were a lot of minor problems, I had a nice stay altogether due to the fact that I really needed a getaway and tried to stay positive. The pool with the invisible floor at the edge, gorgeous spa and lovely sauna and steam room facilities were great! We were in great walking distance of all the nightlife and could also see it all from the balcony. Altogether would give the stay 8/10 Lisätietoja

We loved the apartment as it had everything we needed to be self-sufficient during our stay - full kitchen and laundry. We found the parking expensive and were not advised of the parking charge on check-in (should have read the website properly, I know!) Our view was of a an excavated building site unfortunately but this was just bad luck. Very comfortable […] bed and all fittings and furnishings modern and fresh. I actually had a strange man with a key enter my hotel room at 6:00 a.m. while I was waking up. I called out from the bedroom (single woman staying alone) and he answered. I then shouted for him to get out of my room and he took off. I reported the incident to the desk upon checking and they didn't respond. This is a wonderful hotel that we would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a well appointed and spotless hotel in a nice, quite area. The major restaurant area of Adelaide is only a short walk away but far enough not to create a noise issue. From never having travelled to Adelaide and selecting a random apartment without much knowledge (albeit that of google) of the city and its surrounds, we experienced a fantastic four day stay at iStay Precinct Adelaide. The hotel is within walking distance of the Chinatown area and Central Market. If offers basement parking facilities, although parking spaces are limited. I booked a two bedroom apartment this hotel as the price appeared reasonable for the space my family needed. While our apartment was spacious and generally clean and bright, it had a worn-out feel […] about it - the carpets were stained and there were marks on the walls. One bedroom had a window that would not close and the bedroom was consequently rather cold, it being winter in Adelaide. The service staff took an hour before visiting my room only to tell me that servicing had to be done by the maintenance person the next day. He could not offer me another room as all the rooms were booked. No other remedy or compensation was offered. While my experience may well be an isolated incident, in my opinion it speaks poorly of the hotel management - the management was not fully aware of the maintenance issues in its hotel and it made little effort to alleviate the discomfort of its aggrieved customers. My recommendation is that experienced travellers who want the certainty of a trouble free experience, and are used to the standards of good hotels elsewhere should avoid this property. Lisätietoja

Well-appointed and nicely furnished, great beds,very spacious 2 bedroom apartment. The air-conditioning struggled a bit with the heat and the apartment was on the second floor and facing the street and there was quite a bit of noise from a festival in Light Square, but this would seldom be a problem. Fantastic, the best apartment hotel we have stayed in.

This hotel is more like a block of flats with no restaurant facilties and nowhere closeby where one can eat. Initially the reception clerk would not accept that I had prepaid but assigned me a room with a nice view at least. Sad to say the plumbing in this room was under repair and I was then dumped down to another room on a lower floor with a view […] of office blocks. The hotel's location for the bus station couldn't have been better. It was also close to a variety of ethnic restaurants. The value was unbeatable. Very nice place for a great price. Our heat didn't work the first night and the beds weren't configured into a king size bed as we had requested. Very niCe and comfortable, the deluxe one bedroom apartment is beautifu. Wonderful place to stay for extended trip, with full kitchen, washer and dryer.

This hotel is centrally located and the rooms are comfortably furnished. In our unit we had a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher which was marvelous as we stayed for a week with a family. We were so impressed by this place. The location is fantastic, as its a short walk to the main shopping area, as well as 2 blocks up from Gouger street, which is full of restaurants & bars of all varieties. From the Oaks,it is easy to walk anywhere in Adelaide CBD. The room itself was spacious, well decorated & very comfortable. Everything about the […] room was perfect. The rooms are modern and large, with great amenities, beds can be configured into king or two singles. Lounge area is not large but is perfect for two people. Close to the restaurant strip of gouger st, a decent walk to rundle mall, and a short walk to north terrace. We stayed over a weekend and had no trouble with noise. Excellent apartments with full amenities, much nicer than most hotels and it is the same price.

This place is hard to find as there is no sign that says Oak Precinct however it is great accomadation.very comfotable and a few minutes walk away from the restaurant strip and also the city.

We stayed in 2 different two-bedroom apartments, because we left and then came back. This accommodation was less expensive than renting 2 hotel rooms for 3 adults. The decor was very contemporary. We liked having a full kitchen, with dishwasher, and a washer/dryer in the unit. There was also an enclosed balcony, with windows that could be folded back […] to open it up completely to the outside. The hotel was close to many restaurants, walking distance to museums, and close to public transportation. The staff was helpful with suggestions and arranging transport. The only minor quibble was that the cleaning people never seemed to remember that we needed three sets of towels. I would definitely stay here again if we get the opportunity to return to Australia. The Oaks was central to many aspects of the city of Adelaide. Most of the time I could walk to many of the sites in the city ofAdelaide and as an apartment it was close to the Central Market and grocery store so you could easily get food. The tram to Adelaide and buses were easily accessed from here as well. Up the street there was a place to rent a […] car. The rooms were great because you had an outdoor area for yourself that could be weatherproofed. Also if you are planning a longer stay, the amenties of dishwasher, washer, dryer made the stay eaiser. If you are looking for apartment to spent your holiday, Oaks Precinct is certainly a good choice for you in Adelaide. It got almost everything you expect from them:- Good location It is just 5 mins of walk to the Central Bus Station, so if you are taking local tours, it is very convenient location to start your trip in morning. Central market and other […] eating or pub locations at the heart of the city are all within 10 mins walk. Good facilities I stayed in an apartment with a single bedroom, they have kitchen and all equipments you needed to make breakfast or even dinner. Washing machines, drying machines, dish washing machines, toaster, full sized fridge, microwave and oven are all available inside the apartment. Helpful staff Checkin and Checkout is just very simple and efficient, staff are helpful and polite. Room is clean and tidy every night I come back. I would certainly recomend this to my friends and family, and if you are around Adelaide city centre and looking for a good apartment to stay, I think it should be on top of your list. Our stay there was ok. Kindy hard to find, since they havent got a sign outside, and it looks like apartments. They were a bit to thorough with the cleaning almost. Adelaide is strict on wateruse, so after the first night we didnt wash up the to plates and cups that we hade used, we tought we'd take it the last day. But when we came back in the evening […] the roomcleaners had put the dishwasher on, with only the 4 pieces we had used! But its nice to stay somewhere they clean good:p No breakfast, but its more like apartment-hotel, you have your own kitchen in the room. And we had a nice balcony where we eat our breakfast.
