Loved it, loved it, loved it! Rooms were big and comfortable, a top notch. The staff is extremely welcoming and most of them very very friendly and willing to go long way to make you happy. Did a beautiful sunday morning cycling tour with them around the southern shores of manhattan. Snacks and non alcoholic beverages as well as juice and coffee in the lobby was free, absolutely lovely. Nice rooms with all the ameneties you need. Superb breakfast! You get 50 dollars each morning per room. If you both take brunch you have to pay around 6 dollars extra. Well worth it! Definitely will stay here again.

It was our first time in NYC and we chose to stay in Andaz Wall Street - a Hyatt Hotel because of all the good recommendations read from Hotels.com. We have to admit that the hotel was more than we expected. Loft-style room was very spacious and well equipped; nice walk-in shower and big bathroom, comfortable king size bed, a 42” LCD TV with international […] channels, Geneva sound system, lighting with dimming controls, remote-controlled blind, oak floors, big window with a window seat. Nice bonus were the complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages in room and free 24/7 coffee&tea serving on the lounge-like lobby. Of course there were few minuses like free wireless Internet access which didn't work at all and badly isolated window so you can hear the street noise up to 10th floor, but I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone visiting NYC. We really enjoyed our stay! Area is full of cafes where to have breakfast and there is a grocery store opposite the hotel. Our three day stay was terrific and I would stay here again. Sorry that the Seaport was still mostly out of service because of Sandy, but the train is quite convenient to the west side which is where my friends live. The upgrade when we checked in was a great plus.

I've stayed at the midtown Andaz on Fifth Avenue but I wanted to give the funky chain's other location a try on my recent New York getaway. The downtown Andaz shares a non-descript building with luxury apartments on the periphery of Lower Manhattan. On a weekend, the surrounding streets are quiet and it's tough to get a cab—I didn't see any bell staff […] over three days and none of the hosts ever inquired if we needed transportation, even upon departure. Still, for the urban adventurer who can summon a car with a smartphone or is willing to brave the short walk west to the express trains, the downtown Andaz is worth a look. Sure, the consciously-hip design sometimes comes at the expense of function of comfort (see backless seating, trendy sinks with slow drains, or black tile in the bathroom that showcases every footprint and stray urine droplet), reception seemed understaffed, and the free honor bar is more gimmick than sbstance. But the Andaz Wall Street, particularly on the weekend, offers a combination of space, style, and substance at a price that is hard to beat. New York is the city of drawbacks and compromises, and in that department the Andaz Wall Street is sadly typical. Very nice, friendly, helpful staff. Well maintained, ultra modern common areas, with a comfortable but smallish room. The location at Wall Street and Water Street is wonderful for business in the downtown area, and also for interesting walks, including over the Brooklyn Bridge.

Great place to stay in every way. Loved the practical and spacious layout. Only things that I would change: The bathroom floors were dirty, and stayed dirty throughout the stay. There were plastic tags from a prior guest's shopping trip scattered about in addition to them needs a good mopping. It was also quite warm in the room. We asked twice to have […] the thermostat and system check, but it didn't help. When we checked out, the guest relations person told us that "this is just the way AC works in NYC". I lived in NY on several different occasions and never had a problem with AC, so I know this is just a random answer, but seriously, you should check out room 1004. The Andaz is a beautiful hotel with luxurious bathrooms. Unfortunately, the hotel's heating and AC system is set up so the whole hotel has to be on either hot or cold. That might be fine in winter or summer but in spring when the temp fluctuates greatly, it can make the room uncomfortably hot. This was a fantastic hotel. Restaurant was good, bar was good, service was good, room was modern with large glass walk-in shower, Contemporary European fixtures. My Fiance and I wanted a quick get-a-way in the City. We found Andaz Wall Street and were surprised by the beautiful rooms, friendly concierge, and overall "grand" feeling of the entire hotel. This hotel has a very new, modern, metro-esque feel to it.. The room we stayed in was a large suite with a king bed. It was great. The walk-in standup rain shower was amazing as well as the tub. I would definitely recommend this place and go back again.

Always enjoy this hotel, spacious rooms, wonderful decadent bathrooms, comfortable beds, attentive service... Steps to the subway. Attention to details, little things like free wifi and complimentary drinks take a good stay and make it great. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

The rooms are lovely, quiet, spacious. I find only two things I don't like about the hotel. This contemporary conceit of eliminating the front desk by having a few guys wandering around with iPads seems somehow both both pretentious and quasi-functional. Secondly, the room service charges are simply not to be believed... a glass of juice and a cup of […] tea at a truly laughable price. The hotel was very grand looking and kept to a high quality. The room was a good size, large and comfy bed, the overhead shower was lovely and enough wardrobe space. Felt very relaxed. Loved this hotel. The amount of space in the room is amazing and the design and comfort level is awesome, too. The only downside is location--Wall Street is still suffering from Sandy and it's pretty quiet down there at night.

I had a great stay. The staff was excellent and the room was very comfortable. My only complaint is that the room didn't have a refrigerator. Some of the amenities (like the Gym) was unavailable due to the damage from Hurricane Sandy, but the condos next door allowed me the use of their gym.

We really enjoyed our stay at this modern boutique hotel with a nice location for downtown activities. The staff is very helpful and makes checkin and out a smooth process.. The rooms are hip modern with flat screens and a spectacular bathroom with rainfall shower. The beds are a bit on the firm side. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This is the perfect hotel if you want comfort in New York without the price tag. Located on wall st the hotel is obviously there to cater for the business travellers - tech savvy, comfortable, complementary (non alcoholic) mini bar and no fuss - which is the perfect hotel for ANY guest. The hotel is located within walking distance (5-8min) from major train lines including the red, green and blue lines. Everyone was very nice, quiet, just because of Hurricane Sandy the cafe for free coffee was closed...downtown is a little far from the most popular sites, but, we just took the subway...and really enjoyed our stay. Much quieter than uptown...and loved the free orange juice, water and snacks...

This was our first trip to NY & we only stayed 3 days. The Andaz had a special low rate & was by the Financial District which my husband wanted to see. Immediate friendly easy check-ins by knowledgeable staff on iPads. Asked for extra pillows & they were personally delivered by the person we asked, not housekeeping. Room was hi tech -remote control […] shades & plenty of electronic plugs. Very modern minimalist style I love but may not be for everyone. Easy place to catch a cab. A couple of blocks to subway. We walked to so many sights- Statue of Liberty. Battery Park. Staten Island Ferry, the Bull, Ground Zero, NASDAQ, Federal Reserve. A $20 cab ride took us to the shopping meca on 5th Ave & we were at Rockefeller Plaza & ALL the fancy stores! Hotel was quiet being out of the prime busy locations. Restaurants close by with some relatively reasonable prices ($15 sandwiches instead of $25 at the hotel). The hotel lounge was closed on arrival for a private funtion. the restraunt was closed on the Sunday night at 9pm, we went elsewhere put had planned on eating in the restraunt.The heat in the room would not shut down in our room, when we requested maintance we were told to manually shut it off and open the window!

Really nothing bad to say here! Just an overall great experience. I've never seen regular room this bi in Manhattan. Wall Street can be pretty dead during the weekend, but there 5 lines of subway within a 5-minute walk, so it's not much of an issue. Highly recommanded!

The hotel is in a good location. The rooms are spacious and they made a good use of the space with the closet and mirror (which is hidden in the wall). The bathroom was rather large and nice. I spent 8 minutes on the phone while the person trying to help attempted to find an appointment. I kept telling the person on the phone that I was happy to go across the street to one of the local places since I just needed a manicure. I appreciated his help but sitting on the phone for 8 minutes while the person keeps asking me to hold on, as he is trying to find an appointment for that day seemed a bit odd. Very nice, quiet hotel on Wall St. with super nice staff; convenient to the subway (5 minute walk to Wall St stop)."Euro chic" decor very minimalist but pleasant. Spacious place. Amazing hotel. Close to subway station- Starbucks and convenience store. Bit further out then some people may prefere however with subways running until midnight it will not be an issue. Nice staff and nice food. Great stay!!
