Todella yksinkertainen, vaatimaton hotelli, todella pieni huone. Sijainti hyvä. Sopii niille, jotka käyvät hotellissa vain nukkumassa.

Hotelllin sijainti on hyvä. Metroasema on lähellä. Myös Kensingtonin puisto on ihan lähellä. Hotellihuone oli pienin näkemäni. Vuoteessa ei ole pussilakanaa vaan írtolakana ja nuhruinen viltti. Aamupala oli peruskamaa, ihan ok ja aamiaishenkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Huoneeni edessä rupesi katto vuotamaan. Tähän ei pariin päivään reagoitu mitenkään. […] Avuksi laitettiin sitten pyyhkeitä lattialle kokolattiamaton päälle. Vuoto yltyi ja toinen kohtakin rupesi vuotamaan seinää pitkin. Hyvä hinta-laatu-suhde lontoolaiseksi hotelliksi. Sijainti erinomainen, hissi toimi hyvin ja kaikki oli ok. Toki kuluneisuutta, vähän ahdas huone ja ärsyttävät palo-ovet, mutta eihän sellaisia asioita lomalla murehdita. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Voisin hyvin tulla tänne uudestaan. Sijainti oli rauhallisessa ympäristössä hyvien kulkuyhteyksien päässä keskustan hulinasta. Mukavia ruokapaikkoja lähistöllä.

Erittäin siisti ja miellyttävä hotelli, paras ja mukavin kohtuuhintainen, missä olen Lontoossa asunut. Huoneet vastaremontoidut, wc/suihkutila siisti, vettä tulee säädetyn lämpöissenä. Aamupala asiallinen, mutta vaatimaton, tee/kahvi, tuoremehu, mysli, paahtoleipä, juustot. Hotelli oli käytännöllisellä paikalla ihan Central-metrolinjan varrella. Huone oli siisti ja puhdas, mutta todella pieni. Ei haitannut. Lähellä on pari kivaa pubia ja ympäristö on ok.

Hotelli on mukava, pieni ja rauhallinen, henkilökunta ystävällistä! Saimme kolmen hengen porukalle isomman huoneen pyytämättä ja huone oli siisti ja palveli tarpeitamme ja saimme nukkua yöt rauhassa. Aamupala on ihan hyvä.

Hotelli oli muuten hyvä, mutta ainakin meille annettu huone oli PIENI. Lisäksi meikäläinen ei herää kunnolla jos ei ammulla pääse suihkuun. Meidän pesutila oli ahdas, mutta pahin ongelma oli, että vettä tuli liruttamalla.

Hotellimajoituksen suhteen ei meillä ollut suuria haaveita ja vaatimuksia. Olemme tyytyväisiä Elyseehen. Sekä vastaanotossa että aamupalalla palvelu oli ystävällistä ja asiantuntevaa. Aamiainen oli hyvä ja paikka siisti. Huone oli pieni kuten arvelimme, mutta emmehän aikaamme viettäneet. Kadulta kuului huoneeseen ääniä jopa yölläkin mutta noinkin lähellä […] Lontoon keskustaa se oli odotettavissa. Kylppäri oli asiallinen ja siisti. Sängyssä oli hyvä nukkua. Ilmastointi toimi. Ei ollut liian kuuma. Ainoa isohko miinus tulee kokolattiamatosta jota ei oltu ihan äskettäin pesty, jos koskaan. Hotellin sijainti on erinomainen. Se ei ole ihan vilkkaimpien teiden varrella mutta lähellä kaikkea. Isot puistot ihan nurkan takana ja lyhyt matka maanalaiseen, josta pääsee edullisesti ympäri Lontoota. Lisätietoja

Hotelli oli ihan ok lyhyttä Lontoon visiittiämme ajatellen. Palvelu oli oikein hyvää ja sijainti lähellä Lancaster Gate nimistä metroasemaa.

Surprised it´s a 4 star, it´s more of 2+ or 3-, even according to London standard.

Lovely hotel--convenient to a lot of great sights in London. Comfortable room.

I was very comfortable there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small but nice, the bathroom was brand new and one of the brightest bathrooms in the U.K. as it was all white. Could actually see to put on my makeup.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling alone for sure! It is really close to transportation and really close to the train station that brings you into the city from the airport. Excellent staff- very friendly - the neighborhood has anything you might need- from restaurants to cafes to convenience stores- it is a nice spot.

A just about OK hotel for those looking for accommodation close to a tube station. Tiny rooms, altough clean. An OK breakfast. Beds had felt blankets and sheets - uncomfortable. Small shower booth with not a single shelf for your cosmetic bottles and soaps... No free WLAN / WiFi. Roof was leaking in the corridor for 3 days - there were towels on […] the floor to absorb some of the water, but the corridor started to smell really moist and the wet towels were there on the way all the time. Anyone who has stayed in a 4 star hotel before and is expecting the same thing, you are in for a surprise.I'm not quite sure how they advertise as a four star hotel as this is definitely not four star quality. I would compare it to 2.5-3 star max. Pros: Great location to public transport Cons: > Rooms are tiny > Hardly any space to do any work. > […] Forced to do ironing in the corridor because they only had one ironing board in the hotel and claimed it was because of fire codes, odd that other hotels don't have the same problem. I stayed at the hotel for 1 night. Arrived around 11 PM and left early in the morning, so I didnt really spend much time at the hotel. The Hotel was OK. Price was good. What I really liked was the area in which the hotel was located. Very close to Hyde Park. The streets around were very nice. Nice buildings. Lots of restaurants if you took the effort […] to walk 2-300 meters. I really liked the place, and can definately recommend. Had to ask for a decent room twice not to end in a cellar room!

Very interesting hotel - and not in a good way. Room was incredibly small and cleaning staff would randomly come into room at all times during the day.

Clean nice people very close to public transportation. The rooms are very very small We were only staying the nite so it wasnt a problem.

I booked a single room at the Elysee. The room was very small and opening the bathroom door required me to sit on the bed. The shower was so small that I couldn't wash the bottom half of my body and the toilet so narrow that my shoulders touched both walls. The second night there was a group of four loud drunk guys in the room next to mine who carried […] on from 10pm to 3am and then started back up at 6am when they returned. the romm was small, but normal sized for london. there is a underground station very close and a nice pub, too. we were happy with the hotel, for what we paid.

Rooms are small - but this seems to be common in London. The worst was the pub across the street. Although a pleasant pub with great meat pies, many people were standing outside being loud up to 1:30am every night. I do not deem this as a 4 star hotel. Its more like an upscale pension - no more than 2-3 stars

3-stars at best. Not bad, overall, just was overpromised (4-stars?!?) and underdelivered. Great location, though.

Our room was in the basement, and there is no elevator to the basement. We had to lug our luggage downstairs, and then up the next day. The a/c was great, as the outside hall had the heat on full blast. The breakfast room was outside our room. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. Showing its wear, but the staff was nice. The shower was impossibly hot, and there was not much to be done about it. It served our purposes well enough, but if you're the type to spend a lot of time in your room, you might want to look elsewhere. We routinely fly into LHR and train out of paddington, so a convenient hotel near paddington Station is a must. Our usual hotel was booked so we tried the Elysee. The rooms are not luxurious but the neighborhood is great and the staff is very friendly and professional.

Elysee is the perfect central London hotel for those on a budget. The rooms are SMALL - so if you are a larger person, I would not recommend this hotel. However, I enjoyed my stay at the Elysee, it's in a lovely neighborhood right near Hyde park - and conveniently located near Paddington Station. The room was extremely small and it was the tiniest shower I've ever seen. The sink was draining really slowly when we arrived and there were hairs in the shower. We were on the top floor so the roof was slanted. No space to put our suitcases. There are bigger rooms in the basement...with no windows and next to the kitchen, breakfast and storage rooms. The front desk was very helpful with arranging transportation and providing directions to various places throughout the city. The only downside is irons aren't allowed and there is only one to use. It was inconvenient to go down to the front desk to get the iron then go in the basement to iron your clothes. I was a little nervous upon walking in and being led to a room in the basement, however, room was very clean, well-lit, convenient to the tube ... overall, not bad! The Elysee is located in a great neighborhood just north of Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens. The beds are very comfortable and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was sufficient and included in the price. The only down side is that the rooms are on the smaller side, but that's what you get in London without spending a ton of money. I stayed in a basement room and it really felt like basement quality. It was very shabby, the extraction system was incredibly noisy and the shower unit was broken. The toilets in the breakfast room were really bad too. The least I would normally hope for is to get what you pay for - but this certainly wasn't the case - I'm sure I should have got far […] more. This hotel is close to Paddington Station (with rail service to other parts of Britain) as well as Lancaster Gate. That made it really easy to get around London. It also is very close to Hyde Park, which was great for running. This hotel is only a short walk from Paddington Station and about a block from Kensington Gardens. The location can't be beat. The staff was nice, the breakfast was excellent - much better than described. There is internet access in the lobby for a small price. There's nothing wrong with the hotel except that it is old. The halls are dark, the bedroom […] carpet stained, and there were old fashioned bedspreads on the beds rather than the comforters found in so many English hotels. There's just something creepy about old bedspreads and blankets by comparison. The bathroom was recently modernized and was nice, if small. It was very clean, but the room itself was too old to ever look really clean, much less sparkling. I want sparkling. The AC unit in the room barely puts out, but the TV is new. To say the least the room was very small. It took a little getting used to -- we adjusted! They are very clean with daily service and clean towels. What they lack in space they make up for in hospitality. They are so charming and helpful. The hotel is very centrally located to the subway system.

The location was great, especially in its proximity to Paddington Station. There were good restaurants around. The only problem was that on the second morning of our stay, there was no hot water -- a boiler problem to be fixed, but we were leaving for home before we could take hot showers. The staff were attentive and very pleasant.

That is about everything that was good with the hotel.

Convienently located to Tube, Bus and Tour bus stops. Elysee Hotel for the price was a good deal. Clean rooms and somewhat updated. Mattresses had coil springs but comfortable. Breakfast was great and included. Staff falling over backward to be helpful, and they were the most redeeming asset of the hotel. They helped with directions, shuttles to airport, […] etc. Pub across the street had great food and closed early so no loss of sleep, since our room was facing street. One block from beautiful Kensington Gardens. Great location for everything. Lots of hotels in the area we noticed. Beautiful neighborhood. Guests in hotel quiet. No complaints really.
