WakaMaya Resort Spa and Villas - Sanur

Overall, great stay. Free wifi in the rooms, nice clean pool (not huge, but it's fine for relaxing), very good service, free shuttles any time of day to beach or town. Location is OK, but 20-30 minute walk from town. 5-10 minute walk to beach - the hotel's 'private beach' is not nice....we went once (in 6 days) for a couple of hours, then left and went […] back to the hotel pool. Aircon and fan in room needed some maintenance, and water pressure in the showers wasn't good. Other than that the room was fine. Breakfast was OK - it's ordering from a menu, it's not buffet style. One day the small pool was used by 6 local women and kids that appeared to be friends of the staff - not so good for fee-paying guests if that happens a lot. Location isn't really a problem if you're OK with taking the free shuttle into town and a taxi (U$2) back again. Got upgraded for 1 night to a villa with private pool - that was very nice. Very efficient and friendly room service and front-desk staff. We would stay here again...... Lisätietoja

I've been there for 6 nights with my boyfriend, is perfect location, close to a lot of good restaurants, If u rent a motorcicle is so easy to get to others beaches...Is so quiet place. Good services.

March 2012, stayed for 3 nights, really friendly and helpful staff, Hotel was real value for money, nice bungalows, just feels like you are living in a middle of a jungle which was really great! Lots of jungle noises around especially at night. Great breakfast served to room without extra costs. Not so close to Sanur hustle and bustle but free hotel […] shuttle car to Sanur (10 mins) and cheap taxis to come back so no problem at all. No beach nearby (ocean is close but its so close to mangrove bushes that its not swimmable). Overall one of the best hotels we´ve ever stayed in! Lisätietoja

Staff, service and cleaning was all impeccable. The room (Villa with garden) was beautiful and just as the pictures promised, however we did have a problem with mosquitos since there was no mosquito netting in the bathroom ventilation openings. We had a fantastic time in Wakamaya on our honeymoon, we had a room with a private pool, just beautiful. Staff amazing. Great breakfast. The place is very private with lots of amazing vegetation around. It is a little out of the way which is perfect if you want peace and the free shuttle bus it perfect to get in and out of sanur. A bit difficult to find, recommend the hotel arrange pick up from the airport. Relaxing ambience, nice quiet place to stay. On site restaurant food was good, but rather expensive as compared to other restaurants. Water pressure in the room was poor at best and hot water supply unreliable.

We were sorry to leave as we felt at home from the very first day and we did not have the impression of being in a resort-hotel. A luxury home immersed in luxuriant natural surrounding, silence "interrupted" by chatty birds and total discretion of the staff. We'll go back whenever we will be looking for a quiet place where to rest and find intimacy. Also […] the private villas make it a perfect spot to come back with other family members. We stayed 2 nights at the Wakamaya villas in Sanur when we arrived we had to wait 3 hours for our villa... being straight from the airport we were extremely tired and quite disappointed at the costumer service... However they were very upset themselves and gave us a free dinner of our choice and once we arrived to the Villa it was very nice and traditional […] baliness style the bed was super and very comfortable.... The only other issue was the water pressure from the showers there's hardly any water coming out!!!!! With all this said I still would go back... It's in a very quiet place Lisätietoja

I stayed here for 2 nights on my first visit to Bali. I'm hardly an expert, but this seems to be the exception to the community of upscale hotels in Sanur. Most of the other hotels nearby are very large western style resorts. This one is much smaller and cozier, which I like better. Excellent food cooked to order by the staff and a really nice outdoor […] eating area in the common space of the resort. The rooms are thatched roof bungalows with canopy beds. Mine had a private pool (only some of them do). My favorite part was the outdoor bathroom and shower (there is a high enclosing wall for privacy and thatched roof for rain protection). This hotel was a neat introduction to Bali. It's in a bit of an odd location, but an easy 10 minute walk gets to you to the main seashore in Sanur. They also offer tour services to other parts of the island, including hired cars for the day to take you wherever you want to go. Lisätietoja

The staff were so friendly and helpfull, and the attention to detail in the rooms was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay there. It is just unfortunate that it is not set near the beach. But for those who want to just relax in sheer luxury and dont mind a short walk to a decent beach, this is the place for you.

This place is a delight. We booked in for 2 nights and stayed for 3 and were disappointed that other commitments required us to move on. This is not the place to go if you want a flashy beach resort on the sand. It is about a 7 minute drive from Sanur and feels like a world away. Lush tropical gardens, with stone pathways winding their way through the […] complex, and moss covered statues peeking out unexpectedly from every corner. You get the sense that you are the only guests there, although that is far from true. We stayed in a standard pool villa and were absolutely delighted. Very comfortable - large plunge pool; stunning gardens and bed seats in which to lose yourself in a book. The semi-outdoor bathroom with a sunken stone bath was also pretty special. The staff are very helpful and pleasant and will drive you into Sanur whenever you want. You will need to catch a taxi back - but it will cost you all of about $2.50AUD to do so, so it's really not an issue. All in all, a lovely alternative to the rush and clamour and flash and glitz of the beach resorts that line the Sanur coast. We will undoubtedly return. Lisätietoja

Gorgeous resort done in stone-and-tiki theme, seems like incredible luxury for the price. The private pool for each room is awesome. Only downside is that it's a little hard to find - tucked away in a residential alley (the taxi driver didn't believe us that there was a resort down that road). Déçu par l'hotel et ses prestations. trop cher pour ce qui est proposé, la plage qui travaille avec l'hotel n'est pas digne du standing que l'hotel veut se donner, l'accès est par un chemin de terre en piteux état, a l'arriere de la plage c'est un chantier de réparation de bateau, bonjour les odeurs de résines... Le repas au restaurant n'est pas varié […] seulement 2 plats sur la carte, et quand on demande un thè , il n'y en a qu'un seul .. le choix est donc rapide, on mange ailleurs. l'hotel est situé tout au bout de Sanur, perdu , obligé de prendre la navette pour aller a sanur mais pour le retour c'est taxi obligatoire surtout le soir, le chemin est très sombre, plein de ruelles , un vrai labyrinthe Accueil et service sont limites pour un hôtel qui facture aussi chez ses villas. Je parle pas des jardiniers a 7H30 du matin dans les allées pour couper l'herbe, sympa le réveil quand on est en vacances si on avait pas réservé autant de nuit par internet depuis la France, on serait parti ailleurs. Déçu aussi par le Spa, cher pour la prestation... enfin c'est tout l’ensemble qui n'allait pas. il y a beaucoup mieux et moins cher, dans l'ensemble le personnel est souriant. Lisätietoja

Dette hotel ligger et stykke fra alfarvej og der er umiddelbart ikke noget at se i gåafstand. Hotellet tilbyder dog gratis transport til stranden eller Sanur by og der er altid personale klar til at køre gæsterne afsted. Turen til byen tager 10 min. og 5 min. til stranden. Transport retur står man selv for, men det koster kun 10 kr at komme retur ( […] det er billigst at hyre de blå taxier, der kører på meteret til ca. 15.000 rupiah). Selve hotellet er lille, men super flot indrettet med fokus på balinesisk håndværk og stil. Personalet er altid smilende og oplagte og vil gå langt for at stille gæsterne tilfredse. Morgenmaden er overdådig og der er forskellige retter at vælge imellem. Vi boede i en Lanai villa med egen pool og åbent badeværelse. Sidstnævnte kræver lidt tilvending for en vesterlænding, da toilettet tit blev besøgt udefra af småfugle, gekkoer, firben, insekter mv., men det var hyggeligt og sjovt at prøve. Både toilet og have med pool er afskærmet af høje mure, som der gror flotte planter op af, og vi var på intet tidspunkt generet af andre gæster - vi kunne faktisk ikke høre andet end fugle og insekters summen, så vi følte os alene og kunne nyde opholdet i ro og fred. Dobbeltsengen var fantatisk god at ligge i, med himmel (myggenet). Lidt hård, men på den gode måde. En ting, der generede lidt var at der på værelset er en automat, der sender duft-/insektmiddel ud i rummet hver halve time. Det sparer med garanti for en del myggestik, men duften er ikke rar i længden og hvis man sover let bliver man sikkert vækket en gang imellem af lyden. スタッフは愛想はあまり良くないですが親切です。ビーチへの送迎があり、その他サヌール内であれば片道送ってくれます。サヌールセンターから少し離れているので、ショッピングや食事にはやや不便でしたが、奥まったところにあるので静かです。 お部屋はビラをこの金額で泊まれるのは嬉しいですが、照明のスイッチが不便なところにあるのと、冷房を一日つけてないとじめっとしてます。プール付ビラに泊まりましたが、プールの水があまり綺麗に感じませんでした。 バスルームは半分屋根がないため、夜はゴキブリが石鹸に群がっており、駆除が大変でした。 レストランの食事は美味しいですが、朝食は毎日同じなので長期のステイには飽きます。 とはいえ、全体的には金額なども考慮するとよいほうではないでしょうか。スタッフも近所から通って […] いる人が多いので、地元のことをよく知っています。 サヌール自体が大きくないので、バイクなどを借りて回るといいでしょう。クタとサヌールの２か所に泊まったので、クタの喧騒から離れてゆっくりできました。 Lisätietoja

Lite avsides ligger detta småskaliga och romantiska hotell. Den vackra trädgården omsluter dig och eftermiddagsteet njuter du av på den gemensamma altanen i lugn och ro. Bungalown är mycket smakfullt inredd med vackra dekorativa detaljer och bäst av allt ingen tv.. Extra lyxigt och härligt upplevde vi att det var med vår helt privata pool intill den […] lilla altan. 두 번 째의 발리 여행이지만 정말로 좋은 곳입니다. 전 2박을 하였는데, 사누르 시내까지도 별로 멀리 않는 이 호텔은 아주 아늑하면서 새로운 경험의 리조트입니다. 시내까지 호텔 택시로 공짜로 데려다 주니 반드시 참고하시길... 그리고 주변에 밀물과 썰물이 확연하게 나타나는 해변이 있고, 또 라이브(일요일 저녁) 연주를 해주는 아주 괜찮은 카페(Warung)가 근처에 있습니다. 돼지고기 뽂음 식사와 맥주가 아주 잘 어울리는 카페이니 반드시 들리시길.. 손님도 일본인과 외국인이 거의 대부분이어서, 조용하고 방해받기 싫은 로맨틱 여행을 원한다면 반드시 들러 보시길 추천합니다. 호텔 내의 조식도 아주 아주 좋았습니다.
