Oltiin ko. hotellissa 13-18.1.2012. Hotellin taso oli hyvä. Meillä oli all inclusive. Ruokaa oli tarjolla kokoajan jossakin ja valikoima oli runsasta. Myös juotavapuoli toimi hienosti. Kaikkea mahdollista sai. Hotelli sijaitsi "hotellialueen" etelä päässä, joten matka keskustaan kesti melkein tunnin bussilla. Bussit kylläkin toimi hienosti ja oli sikamaisen halpoja. All inclusive rupesi vain jotenkin tökkimään parin päivän jälkeen. Tuntui, että oli pakko päästä jonnekkin muualle. Vika ei tosin ollut hotellin. Voimme kyllä suositella ko. hotellia. Sen hinta-laatusuhde on kohdallaan.

Hotellin hinta-laatusuhde kohdallaan. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja avuliasta, siivous ja siisteys huoneissa ok.Sijainti siinä mielessä hyvä,että puolessa välissä hotellialuetta ja downtownia. Also known as El Centro, Cancun Downtown is where locals live and shop. Plaza las Americas is an American-style shopping center with large department stores and small specialty shops. Mercado Veintiocho (Market 28), an open-air flea market, is an alternative to the chain shops. Tourists often venture into area supermarkets for souvenirs and liquor. Plaza de Toros features weekly bullfighting.

Very comfy beds and pillows, but a lot of the rooms are internal and so don't have a window looking out. the location is ok - the main downtown street is 2 blocks away. It isn't close to the beach. In future, I would stay in the Hotel Zone or go straight to Playa del Carmen, rather than staying in downtown Cancun at all. "Fantastic value!"
What a pleasant surprise. Great room, comfy bed, lovely 'raindrop' shower, all round it was ideal. Not in the hotel zone, but there are lovely little authentic restaurants nearby and a massive flea market across the road. Perfect for us and highly recommend.

"No frills winner"
Suites Gaby is a no-frills hotel. We liked the location in the heart of the city, a block from Mercado 28 (touristy shopping and restaurants) and close enough to walk to the ADO bus station and Commercial Mexicana (if you get good directions). Also, 100% Natural restaurant is just down the street. Hotel is safe, one of the fellows on the front desk […] speaks good English, and everything worked. I only stayed one night at Suites Gaby. The rooms are very nice, and very quiet to the street. but the doors to the rooms are thin. Staff were great. The location was close to everything I needed: walmart for last minute supplies, bus station for arriving from airport by ado shuttle and departing from cancun to belize, perfect. lots of pubs and bars […] and restaurants and mercado 28, a big tourist shopping center. it's all there. "Comfortable, clean, friendly, and safe"
Its not in the hotel zone or walking distance to the beach...but a ten minute walk gets you to frequent busses to the hotel zone night and day...only 8 pesos. About 15 min walk to ADO busses to Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Less than $5 cab fare to ferry terminal for Isla Mujeres. "it's a nightmare for us"
It was really a nightmare for us. The room is extremely small: only one small bed ,even can not put a cabinet beside the bed.The window of our room faces the corridor. it is very dark and there is strong bad smell in the room. only one dirty tower prepared for us. the worst thing we can not bear is that the curtain is smaller than the window and just […] outside the window there are several 100w lights which make us feel it is 10am outside when waked up 4 times during one night . I went to reception desk to beg them turn off the light at 4 am . they refused because some guests would arrive late. Moreover, there is no possibility for breakfast. This is an economical place to stay in downtown Cancun, prices are reasonable even during the year-end holidays. "Gaby Hotel mixed review"
Veronica at he front desk was a saint and wonderful to help us with so many things. The place was ALWAYS BEING CLEANED, and it showed. It was spotless. You could literally eat off the floors it was so clean. The drawbacks: 1. Hard bed. 2. To big / too firm of pillows. Though there were 6 they were all the same and a selection of firmness in them […] would have been appreciated. 3. Only one glass and one bottle of water. We were two in a room with 2 beds. 4. No wash cloth. The bath towels were nice and big but the one hand towel was well let's say barely okay. The absence of a wash cloth was a real drawback. 5. No place to sit. There was 1 small straight back chair at the desk cubicle, but for sitting to watch TV or read, nothing available, and though we were 2, remember this is a room that accommodates 4. 6. No ice available. When I asked for ice, I was told I could buy it at the market down the street. Had I done so, I would have had to leave the unused portion sit in the sink to melt, since there is no fridge/freezer. The desk indicated if I wanted just a cup of ice (which I did), they could perhaps get one from the restaurant when it was open, which it wasn't. It is onlu open from 7 AM to 3 PM.after 3 PM. Stayed here 4 nights, located in the heart of downtown Cancun. Great spot (with restaurant on he ground floor) and the price was right if you do not want to spend the big $ to stay in the Las Vegas style Cancun hotel strip. I booked this hotel for two days and extended for my rest of the vacation. I like this hotel very much. I planned to shop around in hotel zone when I arrived. I ended up to purchase a vacation club membership and moved right into a four star resort for free. "Hotel Gaby...A very nice stay"
The hotel was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant downstairs was good for breakfast and it was a short walk to 100% Natural, convenience store, and other restaurants. Wifi works great in the lobby...but not in the rooms. Like sleeping in a hospital shower stall, guaranteed germ-free. Ironically, although they give you a bottle of water, if you use it up they have no more at night to give or sell you, and as a single woman I didn't want to go walking alone a few blocks to buy more. Drink the local tap water in the sanitised bathroom? What an irony that would be! Couldn't […] figure out how the hotel got such high ratings, until I went to rate it...the atmosphere and niceness of the place are left out. It's a very simple hotel where we spent only one night, before our flight back to Paris. It is located in downtown Cancun, about 10 min of walk of restaurants and bars. The room we got was a small but very clean room, with AC. Nice shower. BUT no window (except a tiny window in the bathroom, and a window in the room that was looking at the corridor, […] so not very nice...). "Great for one night"
We stayed here the night before flying out of Cancun. It's a 15 minute walk to the bus station, there's a market right next to it for any shopping you want to do (other than groceries). We were greeted in perfect English, and she kindly showed us how to get around on a map. The room was clean and it was very nice to sleep with A/C and no mosquitos. […] The only complaint we had is that the bathroom smelled of bleach, and the water felt highly chlorinated - so much so that my face burned a bit in the shower. "Pleasant surprise and a great value."
I had one day to stay in Cancun after a week on Cozumel and PDC. I wanted to get away from the Hotel Zone and this looked like a good choice. It was actually better than I expected. It's a very modern, clean, and comfortable place at a very reasonable price, with only a couple of drawbacks. I checked in at about 3:30 pm. I was dragging a 50 lb bag […] of scuba gear with me, so i was a little put off by the fact that there is no elevator. I had to lug my bags up two flights of stairs to get to my room. Once upstairs, however, I found a clean, bright, and large room. Everything is new, from the ceramic tile floors to the AC unit. Unfortunately, the AC wasn't quite up to the task and the room, while reasonably comfortable, never got really cool. No matter. The bed had clean sheets, there was enough room to lay my gear out to dry, and the 37" TV had a couple of English language channels on it. The neighborhood was clean and relatively safe. I went out at about midnight in search of food and found, to my surprise, several restaurants open and doing business. There were a couple of women out "working" the streets, but not enough to make it bothersome. During the day, I encountered nothing untoward, so i felt safe the entire time I was there. In the morning, I checked out a little early and the staff was nice enough to lock my luggage away for safekeeping while I roamed around a little bit. I went across the street to the Mercado 28, an "artisan market," AKA tourist trap. They actually had some reasonably nice merchandise there and at reasonable prices. I bought a few trinkets and baubles to take home with me. Overall, my impression of Suites Gaby was positive. The staff was friendly (and all spoke English very well), the rooms were very nice, and the neighborhood was clean, safe, and interesting. If you're looking for the sterile beaches of the Hotel Zone, this isn't for you. If you want more of a flavor of the real Cancun, stop by. You won't regret it. Lisätietoja
"Best little 3 star hotel in Cancun, MX"
Super clean, small and very cordial....that describes the Suites Gaby where I spent ten days while on a medical vacation. Front desk personnel spoke English so there was no frustration. They were so helpful when it came to directions and dealing with the taxi cab drivers. I always knew the exact fare when I got into the taxi. Unlike when I hailed a […] cab on my own, I would later find out that I had been overcharged. The restaurant was open mornings and the coffee and breakfast foods were very good. There was a short two block walk to the 28th Street Market where locals maintained shops and displayed their goods. As a shopper, I could pass a good time there everyday. Yes, I will definitely stay at Suites Gaby on my next visit to Cancun. Should it be for medical reasons, again, I will make arrangements to rent a small refridgerator when I make my reservations. We were really happy about this hotel, the area is not that nice, but that is just old Cancun. It was close to a plaza where you can enjoy night shows, etc. It's also walking distance from the main road where you take the bus to where all the clubs are. The hotel looks brand new, I think it was remodeled. It had high speed internet and it was great […] for me as I need it for my biz. "Poor service. Don't recommend."
No ice machine. Only provided 1 towel for two guests. Quoted airport shuttle fee at 50 pesos over the phone (multiple calls) but was 250 when we got there. Did not complete wake up call as requested. We did not complain while we were there but alot was missed. Will not return to this hotel.

found this place to be a good solution to my needs: a quick stay after flying into cancun and on my way to tulum (my intended destination). hotel quiet, clean, comfortable, good airconditioning and breakfast that was satisfactory (scrambled eggs, chilaquiles, cereal, fruit). preferred this location to the noisy and touristy av. 5 ("fifth avenue" as […] it is commonly referred to) and its senor frogs, starbucks and mcdonald's franchises (note: there are at least 2 mcdonald's and senor frogs each on the strip; either you're a fan or not: i'm of the latter school). however, there are some hole-in-the-wall taco shops a few blocks off the strip which offer delicious .50c tacos. if you want to have a good meal that's neither an edgy joint or an overpriced restaurant on the strip, head to EL FOGON, a few blocks away (on the street opposite to the hotel's entrance on a busy street, make a left and it's a block past wal-mart. opposite side of the road). local place with the odd gringo: good portions, cheap, clean, non-fancy. note: when i asked the front desk clerk (a guy) where el fogon was, he said he didn't know. he instead handed me a business card of another restaurant and said that i would get a free margarita if i went there. he wrote his name of the card first... big read flag. otherwise, great hotel. trust your instincts. just don't fully rely on the people even at your hotel to solely have your best interests in mind. No complaints whatsoever. The room was clean, quiet - staff helped me to find a taxi to the airport. They were helpful and friendly. The restaurant right next door was convenient - my breakfast was very good and the coffee was divine. Definitely would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

It was very clean and modern. Not a lot of decor. It could use a outlet by the bed, lights are too bright in the bedroom, the water could be a bit hotter and the restaurant Turtle is very bland. The service was great and it is super clean. I would go back again.

We only stayed one night for our early departure to the airport in the morning. The room was a bit small for 2 double beds, but it was great for the price we paid and for the length of our stay. Bathroom was very modern and clean. our "window" opened onto the hallway, making the room a bit bright at night. We had access to pool facilities at another […] hotel, which was near the Puerto Juarez ferry dock, about 15 minutes away, but they had shuttle service to it. We didn't take advantage of it though.
