HI THE PERSONAL WAS VERY NICE ONLY THE HOTEL IS TOO OLD AND CLOSET DIRTY INSIDE MAYBE CHANGE DECORATION LOOK BETTER

The staff was curteous and polite. The rooms were reasonable since all we needed basically was a bed to sleep in and a shower while we were there. The beds were comfortable and the shower was huge. Overall cleanliness was good. The pool looked very nice and large, but unfortunately it was too cold for us to be able to enjoy it. the highlight of the hotel is its swimming pool, but the hotel is old and run down,the bathroom was horrible,and the water was salty,, the noise from the housekeepers and the maintenance guys is horrendous, and there is no privacy from room to room, as you can hear all of what's happening with your neighbor , deinitelly not the most comfortable, the […] rooms are old and badly decorated, I would not recommend this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at San Nicolas. Reviewing the photographs surrounding the lobby and restaurant show the history of the owner, his enthusiam for life, which seems to pass through into the spirit of the hotel. Moderate walk into town, which is pleasant and the distance is rewarding on a Saturday night when the bars resemble a Spring break […] weekend. Five minutes away from the art gallery and the breathtaking historic hotel and grounds on the waterfront. This hotel left me wanting. For the price of the room ... It lack many of what I would consider a standard ammenaties. For example ... No free continental breakfast. No free LOCAL calls. No in room fridge or microwave. No in room blow dryer or iron. Jesus, there was not even a freaking ice machine on our floor. Aside from that the place is need of a […] remodeling to bring it back from being stuck in the eighties. Not to mention that the best thing they got going for them ... Their Olympic style pool and jucuzzi were filthy. Stay away from here. No where near worth what I paid for this room. And to top it all off the neighborhood is bad. The hotel was pretty good. The restaurant was terrible. It was some of the worst food I have ever had in a restaurant anywhere.

The Hotel San Nicolas was very clean. The pool was great and very clean. Outdated decor but clean and very safe.

Really enjoyed our stay. Big rooms, two large king beds with balcony looking out to the pool. The construction dates back probably to the 30's or 40's and you can sense it. Loved the swimming pool and waterfall, specially with the art deco early 20th century design. TV needs to upgrade and didn't work probably due to the fact that the outlet where the […] TV plugged didn't work at all. I stayed in this hotel since it was the only one available due to the wine tasting events in the city. The hotel is announced as being in the First Street in Ensenada, but don't be fooled, it is not as close as you might think from nightclubs and restaurants in the tourist area; you still have to drive if you don't want to take a long walk through […] some dark areas along the way. I can't complain about the service, it is very good, the staff is friendly and helpful. But in general, the hotel inside looks very old and in need for remodeling. The hotel is a little outdated and so are the rooms, but it is clean and the staff is nice and helpful. Nice pool. It is a little expensive for the condition. That is the only draw back,

Beautiful and clean room, nice pool and sundeck, luke-warm moderately clean hot tub. Two kinda ugly blocks east of the water. We spent the night there for the Rosarito-Ensenada bike ride, and it's perfect for that, as it's two blocks from the finish line and walking distance to tons of good restaurants and bars.

San Nicolas staff are very courteous and professional. I had never been to a hotel where they would take my luggage to the room, etc. The casino that is on location is a plus. The restaurant staff very amable, food (breakfast) delicious. I recommend this place.

Great hotel, very clean, good service, parking is right across the street and secure. 5 minute walk to downtown restaurants/bars. Hotel bar is a bit expensive, but that was expected. Would stay there again.

this was a good hotel for Ensenada, fairly clean good service and nice pool and bar and places to eat

The hotel was very nice and clean, rooms were older but in great shape. If you stay make sure that you dont stay on the pool side of the hotel the bar is cute but gets very loud at night. Overall the stay was great and it was walking distance to downtown and the harbor.

It is a great hotel for the price, is safe , clean , and the staff is friendly and helpful, the only bad thing is the walls in the room are to thin and you can hear everything from the other room. we were lucky the persons sleeping in the next room were not loud.

The hotel room was clean and nice, need to get new TV, great room for your money.

This hotel is both awesome and hilariously bad. We stayed in the master suite, which one would assume is the nicest room in the hotel. The room was large and did include a large jacuzzi, wet bar, etc as advertised. However, it looks like the hotel rooms haven't been updated since 1974. It was like walking into a time machine. The decor was a ridiculous […] 70s maroon theme. The carpet was probably older than me. Everything felt like it would be sticky if you touched it due to the general seedy 1970s look. Luckily though, cleanliness ok for the most part. For example, the room advertised "two televisions" which it did have. However, one of the televisions looked like a late 70s vintage model. Other than the room, the hotel was fine. The pool was large as advertised and there was a smallish casino in the hotel. The staff were helpful with driving directions and the parking lot attendant seemed to go out of his way in helping us park in the safest location in the parking lot where he could watch our car. If you are going here for a romantic get-away, make sure both of you are comfortable with this sort of place. It could be fun for some, but it would not be the place to bring someone new to impress them. If you consider yourself either an amateur archeologist or are a 70s TV star, absolutely stay here for the experience. It would be a great location for a 70s theme party. It feels safe over and the location is a two-block walk to the main strip in town. Otherwise, find some place a lot nicer and more modern for the same price. el servicio de la gente es bueno,pero las instalaiones son demasiado viejas y descuidadas para la tarifa que se pago.

Debiera tener frigobar, plancha para la ropa, secadora para el pelo y caja de seguridad por lo que cobran. Mayor vigilancia porque a las 4 de la mañana un grupo de clientes hicieron un escándalo mayúsculo e interrumpieron la tranquilidad.

EL TELEVISOR CONTROL, NO SERVIA, Y NO TENIA MESA PARA PLANCHAR.

This hotel has a very good location and the room was big enough, it's a very old hotel but in good shape I guess, the bad points are, very very bad lighting in the room, you could barely see your self in the mirror while you are getting ready to go out (ladies you will have a tough time getting your make up on), heating in the room wasn't working so […] it was quite cold, you could hear everything going on in the other rooms, lucky for me I only used it to crash after the party I went to, I'd probably stay there just to give them another chance.
