I stayed a week at Gardens at West Maui. The grounds are beautiful, well kept. Our room was spotless, very clean. Paid for a studio, but got a one bedroom. Two full bathrooms, more than enought towels. AC worked great, lot of big windows, and a nice TV. Biggest draw back to the room is lack of Wi-Fi. It does have wired Internet, but $$, and no Wi-Fi […] even in common areas. Cell phone reception was very poor, or not at all in our building. Pool was nice, clean all blue tile bottom, (slippery) but the pool was a little too cold for my liking. The hot tub was small, two couples and it was tight if you have long legs. The jets on the hot tub didn't work. I was in building 4, in the back near the pool. Yes the Roosters can be heard every morning, and are actually running around the grounds. But the noise didn't really bother me, they are actually kind of cool. If you plan on going and doing a lot, and you don't need someone in the office everyday (the office is not staffed everyday) then The Gardens are a good deal for that upscale part of Maui. But if you want to stay close to the condo, need a front desk that is staffed everyday, your better off paying more and getting a condo/hotel on the ocean. Over all I had a comfortable stay, no real complaints. No Wi-Fi is a deal breaker, with smart phones, tablets, and more than one person with a laptop, Wi-Fi is a must. Lisätietoja

A five minute walk from Kapalua Bay, with great snorkeling (we were there in April), across the street from the Napili Kai resort (Seahouse restaurant with good appetizers). 1 bedroom units are very comfortable. Building 1 units face the driveway/parking, but the very helpful staff moved us to an opening in Building 3 (view of the neighboring golf course). […] We'd happily stay again. Room was clean and unit was nice. Neighbor's chickens crow all night, so take ear plugs or stay elsewhere. Fold out couch was unsleepable. Convenient to beaches. The chicken cacophony was the main complaint.

This hotel is in a great location-across from Napili Beach and in a nice neiborhood. A small market is down the street and a grocery store and other great stores are a mile away. The grounds are pretty and the pool/whirpool are nice amenities. Also, there are activities held every day like making leis, ice cream social, etc that all ages can enjoy. […] The rooms are spacious for the price and the washer/dryer and kitchen were lifesavers. The negatives of this hotel was that the rooms were dated and the the carpet needs to be replaced (in all fairness, they did clean the carpets while we were there which helped a little). We stayed for 4 nights. Overall, it was okay, but I'm on the fence as to whether I'd stay again. Good: 1) The kitchen was the main draw for us to stay here as we knew we didn't want to eat out a lot and we needed to prep our toddler's meals. We were pleasantly surprised by the full kitchen (complete with oven and blender) opposed to a smaller kitchenette. 2) […] We had a one bedroom with two full baths, so the place was quite spacious. Nice tv, large flatscreen. 3) Short walk to the beach, not crowded, but with an enjoyable number of people around. Nice sunset view. Bad: 1) My biggest gripe was the mildew smell in most of our towels, as well as the bed sheets and sofa. I dreaded wiping my face on a towel and I couldn't relax getting into bed or sitting on the sofa. 2) Bed was uncomfortable, but I guess typical of a 3-star. 3) I had read reviews about the roosters and even put in a request to be away from them, but we were put in building 1, next to them, and sure enough, every morning at 5 or 5:30, off they went. By the 4th morning, I was starting to get used to them, but they were still annoying. All in all, I think was an okay value, but would have been a much more enjoyable stay if things hadn't smelled and the bed was comfortable. Lisätietoja

WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY IN THIS BEAUTIFUL CONDO .I WILL RECOMEND THIS CONDO TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I GIVE THIS CONDO 4 DIAMONDS. EVERY TIME I COME BACK TO MAUI I WANT TO STAY AT THIS CONDO. ITS RIGHT ACCROSS FROM THE BEACH AND RIGHT NEXT TO MY FAMILY HOUSE. MY GRANDMA ONCE OWNED THIS LAND. AND SHE SOLD IT BACK IN THE 70S. SO WE FELT RIGHT […] AT HOME. Lisätietoja

I went swimming at about 5 in the eve. and immediately a family with two young girls joined me. So much for my quiet moment, which I did have at 7:30 a.m. with a slight drizzle. It was a wonderful moment. When I got to the apt. I was so delighted that there was all the facilities. It was so clean and completely had all the bases covered.

This place was great. There was a kitchen with all the utensils you need for cooking. The staff was very helpful and nice. The bed was a little hard, but it was a King size which was great. We had only one maintanence problem that was fixed within the hour after we reported it. This condo is located literally across the street from a great beach! They […] even provide beach toys to borrow! The bus line runs right along this road, it was a a 1/2 block walk to the bus. Which was very inexpensive $2 for a day pass. My only complaint is the roosters in the neighbors yard. They were crowing all morning (early) and throughout the day! But thats nothing that the condo can control. Really enjoyed our stay. Very private. Never even met the managers. Got our keys froma lock box and turned them in the same way. Very convenient to the beach and restaurants. Best bargain in West Maui. Comfortable and clean. The early morning roosters next door (5 a.m.) were a pain, but heh you're not in Maui to sleep!

We were very pleased with our unit, kitchen /dishes well stocked and equipped with everything we needed, with the exception of the Air Conditioner... it wouldn't stay on. Every time it came on it would cool for 8 min. then turn off until we discovered if we opened then shut the front door... Voila! ... the AC came back on! Kind of a hassle. Ceiling […] fans would be awesome because we ultimately gave up and opened up the slider and windows to enjoy the tropical breeze. We hope to visit again with our children :) Lisätietoja

I would stay there again. Great location for relaxing, close to beaches. Small and comfortable accomodation.

The facilities were exactly what we wanted. No fuss and no crowds of tourists. Check in process could be improved for when staff isn't on sight. We asked for the battery to be changed on the smoke detector as it kept beeping but the maintenance came into our room while my son & I were both in the shower. That was very disturbing to have a strange person […] in our room unexpectedly. He should have waited. The front desk knew we were going to be leaving for the luau in a few minutes. Other than that, very clean and comfortable enough. Nice pool and hot tub. Pretty grounds. Very nice not to have tourists and screaming kids everywhere. Kitchen is great and fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. Everything worked perfectly well. We would definitely stay there again. Although I couldn't see or hear the ocean from my room, just a short walk across the street gave me excellent beach access. Surroundings are beautiful, pool was sparklingly clean and the water just the right temperature. Room was clean and the kitchen well supplied. No maid service at all during my six night stay, but there were plenty of towels provided […] and had I needed more, I could have asked. The front office is closed some days, but another hotel nearby is "on call" for any services needed. I stayed in room #103, and a previous review of how awful that room was turned out to be completely inaccurate. If there was a problem, it was completely taken care of prior to my stay. The hotel was priced right for my needs this trip. I would definately recommend The Gardens at West Maui. Lisätietoja
