We liked many things including the rooms,the view, the loaction, the friendliness of the staff, and the access to Belmont Hills Golf Club. The free trip from the airport never happened because the concierge never responded to our email and still hasn't. The biggest problem was a room where the DVD couldn't reliably work because of a faulty switch box, […] the second TV didn't work at all due to a missing cable, and the burners on the stove didn't work. We really enjoyed our 2 bedroom suite at the Newstead Belmont. It was very large (approx. 1200 sq. ft), and we each had a spacious bedroom with full bath and jet tubs. The living, dining and kitchen area was very comfortable for relaxing after a day of sightseeing and we were able to enjoy a few meals in the suite rather than having to rush out for […] breakfast. We could see on our large terrace and enjoy the beautiful view out to the sea or the boats coming and going through the harbour. The hotel has its own ferry which is a short 5 minute ride to Hamilton, and the taxi fare is very reasonable. The restaurants are average (Blu the best of the two) but you are very close to fantastic restaurants such as FourWays, Tuckers Point, or Ascots in Hamilton. The front desk staff were very accommodating and the shuttle took us to the beach one day, and also to the Railway Trail. The bus is very convenient, efficient and a great way to see Bermuda - you can catch it 5 minutes from the hotel. There is a fully equipped gym and spa, a large hottub and pool (not heated). Would highly recommend this location for those looking for something not as busy as downtown Hamilton, and one of the more luxurious hotels on the island. Lisätietoja

I had to reschedule our visit by one day earlier so we would miss the Boston Blizzard of 2013. I had reserved a Junior Deluxe Room, and when we arrived, we were put into a 1 bedroom suite. They upgarded us without asking us and at no additional charge. A beautiful hotel with great views of the harbor and the City of Hamilton. Perfect for golfers. Notice that you must drive for most activities, however. A free shuttle is available for golf and beach. A free ferry is available for shopping and tennis is available on the grounds.

The hotel had a shuttle from and to the airport as well as to the beach and golf course. Though our ride to the airpot on the last day left without us, the staffs quickly find the cause and arranged us a taxi so we didn't miss the flight. The ferry service, mainly running on weekdays, was good to access the City of Hamilton for walking around shopping […] and dining at the pubs and cafes. They also have a nice welcoming onsite restaurant we loved. The only thing they don't have is an onsite beach, but they do have a ride to Coco Reef(part of Elbow beach), just a small private beach with only chairs and no beach umbrella when we were there. The Newstead was a great place to stay for us while in Bermuda.We chose it because it looked beautiful and the golf was included at the Belmont Hills Golf Club.(you only had to pay for the golf cart)There was free shuttles to the airport,golf course and the city of Hamilton.The restaurant on site was excellent for breakfast and lunch.(we never tried […] it for dinner)All of the staff were friendly and easy to deal with.If we ever get back to Bermuda we would definetly stay at the Newstead again. Excellent location across the bay from Hamilton. Very attractive grounds and facilities.Stayed in a charming Bermuda style cottage with patio. Room exactly like photos. Enjoyed having a small kitchenette. Well equipped. Grocery store right on Front St had pretty much everything easily accessed by ferry or taxi. We have stayed at the Newstead 3 times and tho this was not the best visit for weather and other factors it is a good spot to wind down. Lovelt locale, great harbour watching, good rooms and kitchen, wonderful restaurant and pool. We will go back.

From the moment we arrived at the Newstead, it exceded expectations. The room was clean, roomy and well appointed. The staff went out of their way to make us happy. I played the golf course every day- it was free with the room- you just paid for the cart and the staff on the course were great. I would definitely return!

Excellent staff that is friendly, cheerful and willing to answer your questions and make helpful suggestions. Shuttle takes you to private Coco Beach and the Coco Beach Resort guests use the golf course. Food was excellent and even the catered dinners were great.

We have been going to Bermuda for years and have stayed at many different properties on the island. The Newstead was by far the best place we have ever stayed. We had 2 one bedroom suites with wonderful views of Hamilton and the harbor. The staff was always happy and helpful. Everything was Bermudaful!

Unfortunately I went with my kids and fiance in the wrong season, the kids could not enjoy the pool. We were quite pleased with our choice of the Newstead. We booked a 2-bedroom, 2-bath suite for our family of 4 and found it very roomy, nicely furnished, with a large porch and balcony overlooking the pool and an amazing view of Hamilton harbour. Luxurious master bath and we went to sleep each night with with a view of the Hamilton city lights from […] our bed. The central location was good for getting to Hamilton, beaches and Somerset by taxi, shuttle, or scooters, but walking anywhere was not practical. The hotel has a free 7- minute ferry service to Hamilton, but it only runs for a few hours in the a.m. and again in the p.m. (last return from Hamilton about 8:30) and doesn't run when raining or on Sundays, so we often had to take a taxi (about $10) to or from Hamilton. There is a free shuttle to the Belmont Hills Golf Club and Blu restaurant -- neither of which are adjacent to or within walking distance of the Newstead. Free shuttle to airport also, but must be arranged 24 hrs in advance. I gave 3 on maintenance because a/c was not working in part of our suite when we arrived, but they quickly moved us to a comparable suite when we reported it. I gave 4 on cleanliness b/c both suites had a small problem with tiny ants, but I gather they're a problem everywhere in Bermuda, regardless of how clean the room is -- just be careful not to leave anything out that would attract them! First time to the island and the staff and views were wonderful! The hotel has their own water taxi ferrying guests between the property and Hamilton City across the harbor. The facility had what appeared to be a very nice lounge/bar, but was never open throughout our stay. The Friday night Happy Hour brings in locals as well as guests from other properties. […] Definitely for people watching and the place the see and be seen, as well as dancing. The vantage point from their infinity edge pool offers the best sunset that Bermuda has to offer! Our stay would have gotten higher rankings if it wasn't for 2 things....one of which probably could not be helped due to capacity booking at the time we booked. My wife and I received a room with 2 Queen beds instead of a King. I'm not "small" by any means and we have not slept together in a Queen bed since....well...can't remember when. So the first night we kept each other up all night! the remainder of the trip we utilized both beds....only for sleeping of course ;-) The second issue was that our bathroom was quite inhabited by ants. Ants in their own right are not a problem, but when they take over your tooth brush, your shaving kit, the soap, etc...it tends to help formulate an opinion. Especially discouraging given the price per night being paid. We were in Bermuda for 6 nights. Stayed at the Newstead the first 3 and elsewhere for the second 3 only because the newstead was booked for the remainder of our trip. We did not have an ant problem at our 2nd facility - so I doubt it was an "island thing". All in al, it was a good stay and would reccomend it to anyone! Newstead was the highlight of my stay in Bermuda. The staff was welcoming, and always there to help. The hotels complimentary airport shuttle saved us a lot of money. The one bedroom suite was a perfect size for 4 and was extremely roomy with a lovely harbor view. The room was clean and comfortable. Our recent stay at the Newstead Belmont Hotel was for the most part, fine. One of the real issues we had that we had not been given prior notice was that on Saturday and Sunday nights, the dining room was closed to private functions. We had not been given any advance notice of this, which caused us some concern. Had we known, we would have made alternative […] arrangements because we had planned to dine at the Hotel. For our needs the water taxi schedule was not totally convenient; however, that was more our schedule than the taxi schedule. The golf course was fine (at the Belmont Hills), but I thought it was included in the stay, but my wife and I were charged, as far as I could determine, a day rate. Simply put, this was the best room we have ever had at any hotel (many high end and expensive). It was more like a small condo acutually. It may not be everyone's cup of tea due to the fact that there is no beach on the hotel grounds and you do have to play the "shuttle game" to get tp the beach, golf course or Hamilton itself. But the room, deck and […] view more than made up for it. There was no big crowd anywhere at the hotel. The infinity pool is not huge, but very nice and pool bar great for that relief from the sun. Both restaurants (Beau Rivage and Blu at the golf course) we found to be outstanding, particularly for seafood which we looked forward to. Best of all was the room which simply had everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable time. Large bathroom with walk in shower and whirlpool tub. Kitchen with everything needed to eat in as much as you care to. Best of all a huge and comfortable deck with awesome views to enjoy at every moment of the day. I would highly recommand the Newstead for a relaxing vacation, great room, clean thoughout, friendly staff and complete (if not overbearing) facilities. The hotel was nicely furnished, modern and comfortable. We had a roomy 2 bedroom suite which was fantastic (new baths, kitchen, granite counters, nice appliances) and exactly as pictured. My husband gave high marks to the gym and he is serious about his weight lifting. The pool and hot tub were really nice. There is a water shuttle at the hotel to go to Hamilton across the harbor but make sure to check the schedule because times are limited. The Beau Rivage restaurant on site has amazing food and views. Only downside is the golf course is not on site but 5 minutes away and there are not a lot of food choices. Also it is on the harbor (gorgeous views) and not a beach. Great accomodation, well-appointed suites, beautiful views from private balconies of Hamilton Harbour, and fantastic staff. The pool, hot tub and spa are beautiful. The golf course was beautiful and free!! We rented scooters for five days, went all over Bermuda and had a blast, the pink sand beaches are breath-taking. The Crystal and Fantasy Caves are […] a must-see, the Aquarium and zoo were also a hit. Dining out is expensive so having a full kitchen in the suite was fantastic. From start to finish everything was great. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We never had to wait for anything. The shuttle driver even took a detour for us to pick up groceries for the kitchen in the room on the way back from the golf course. Stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was fabulous - New, large, clean with a huge balcony […] with a wonderful view over Hamilton harbor and the city. Golf deal with the room was great for a beautiful challenging golf course (For a quick and tasty lunch try the Chicken Triangle Sandwich at the course snack bar. It was delicious.) Area right around the hotel is limited in services but it is convenient to get into Hamilton. The hotel ferry has limited hours so be ready to take the public ferry (right by the hotel) or a 10 minute $12 taxi ride to get to shops and choice of restaurants. Dining out in Hamilton can be pricey but we really enjoyed 'Port of Call"on Front street, the food was delicious, the wine list extensive and the service was excellent. Great location, 5 star accommodations, and spectacular views - who could ask for anything more. Not mentioned in the Expedia listing is that you get a free round of golf for each day of your stay. They offer a free return trip to the airport, a free twice daily shuttle to Horseshoe Beach with complimentary chairs/sun umbrella and water and there is […] a ferry that runs many times a day across the bay to downtown Hamilton. The price of the one bedroom suite (with 2 bathrooms and kitchen) was only $11 more per day compared to the deluxe room. This was an unbelievable deal. The staff are very friendly and very efficient. For beach lovers the hotel may not be in the best location as you do have to take a shuttle which goes to Horseshoe beach or ask the concierge to take you to an alternative. Golf course is superb and as residents you get a complimentary round of golf each day (if you can avoid weekends) Hotel also arranged for tennis lessons. Restaurant is excellent but again expensive as is the one at the Golf Course Blu (excellent sushi) While the boat shuttle service over to Hamilton seems not to run in the afternoons it is no trouble to take the public ferry as the drop off point is right next to the hotel. Generally speaking this hotel is used by businessmen visiting Hamilton which makes it quite quiet, except you my get some locals booking in for the weekend then its a little livelier, our room was 730 be prepared for some road noise as well as tree frogs, insulation between our room and next door is not the best but we soon got used to it, the balcony and view is outstanding. Das Hotel besteht im wesentlichen aus Apartments. Wir hatten ein Studio Deluxe gebucht und haben, vielleicht weil wir eine ganze Wochge da waren, ein Upgrade in ein One-Bedroom-Apartment bekommen. Dies war sehr gut ausgestattet ( ca. 90 qm, direkt am Wasserim Cottageteil). Großes Bad, Wanne mit Jacuzzi-Funktion. Bose Musikanlage im Wohnzimmer. Sehr […] geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Küche gut brauchbar . Zwei Balkone und ein wunderbarer Blick über den Sund nach Hamilton. Daher würden wir auch immer wieder dieses Hotel buchen. Strandlage ist zwar auch schön, aber der Blick über den Sund war viel spannender. Es gab immer was zu gucken, auch im Dunkeln. Während unseres Aufenthaltes war auch noch eine Regattawoche und der Royal Bermuda Yacht Club liegt direkt gegenüber. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr nett. Es gibt ein Beachshuttle/Golfplatzshuttle und eine Hotelfähre nach Hamilton ( eingeschränkte Fahrtzeiten). Das Hotel ist zur Zeit von der Bank übernommen, ein neuer Eigentümer wird gesucht. Nicht davon abhalten lassen. Das Personal ist langjährig da und engagiert dabei und die Zimmer einfach gut. Wenn ich etwas verbessern könnte, wäre dies der Bereich um den Pool, der könnte etwas grüner sein. Aber das Hotel hat den besten Pool aller Bemudahotels, sehr schöner Infinitypool. Lisätietoja

We boekten dit hotel omdat het een van de nieuwere hotels is op Bermuda. Prachtige one bedroom suite, met alles erop en eraan. We huurden een scooter voor 4 dagen en hebben zo het ganse eiland gezien. Tot de kleinste strandjes...
