Tuscana Resort Condominium - Champions Gate

This resort is not within walking distance of ChampionsGate golf course or the conference area of the Omni Hotel, so take that into consideration when staying for a conference or event. Also, there is no wi-fi in the rooms, so I couldn't get any work done. The pool area is nice, but I wouldn't say there is enough on-site activity to keep kids entertained […] for a whole week. This place would be ok for families on vacation, but this is not the best place for business folks. Also, note that they will charge you an additional cleaning fee automatically if you stay less than a week, so I consider this place to have hidden charges. I was on a business trip which included a conference at Champions Gate just a mile away. This was the perfect alternative to staying on resort grounds at >50% significant savings. The Rooms were large and included a full kitchen, dinning room and living room. I wish I could have brought my family so they could have enjoyed the free shuttle to the nearby […] attractions. The only complaints are that I wish they had WiFi (they had cable internet) and that there is only only one sit down restaurant and one fast food place near by. BTW for stays under 5-nights there may be a cleaning charge above the Hotels.com charge so please call them as it can depreciate the value of the stay for 1-2 nights. I would definitely go back. We booked two 3 bedroom condos and asked that they be near the pool. We had two first floor side by side condos in Buiding one. They are spacious and 3 bedrooms was a plus. There were 5 children and 5 adults. We live in Summerfield, Fl, one daughter lives in Tampa, and the other daughter in New Orleans. We get together every year for a family vacation. […] The resort is close to Disney and Universal (Harry Potter was a dream come true for the 8 and 10 year olds) where our grandchildren spent a day or two. Every night the staff would show a movie, in the theater that our grandchildren requested (Ages 4 thru 10) It is close to the pool so the adults could sit outside and have a drink . The pool is very nice and there are cabanas and seating throughout. One daughter brought 3 bicycles and there were bike racks right outside the condo door. The staff was friendly and accomodating. There is a Publix about two minutes away. It was so convenient. We ordered a birthday cake to celebrate three birthdays in August, Tuscana was recommended to us by a family member who stayed there in the past. When I first arrived the AC did not work. After calling the front desk the maintenance man was there within 5 minutes and explained what happened and had it working within 2 minutes. Quick response. Very nice.

Complained on previous stay about guests smoking in pool area and totally ignoring signs around the pool clearly stating to smoke in designated areas only. Nothing has changed and Management still continue to turn a blind eye to this problem. Pool and surrounding area dirty and no pride taken in general housekeeping. This was actually our second time in Tuscana Condo Resort, this place is so cool and well preserve that I would recommend it to anybody. Its well situated, nice pool, nice rooms and everything.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a very unprofessional lobby with a hall full of junk right in the middle of the room with a yellow strap keeping people out. The condo unit was very large but the maintenance and supplies were not up to par. The handle on the shower popped off when you turned on the water and the stopper in the sink and tub did not […] work. The carpets and chairs were dirty. We had to walk 3 buildings over to dispose of trash. (Most condo have a place for disposal in each building) The supplies did not meet expectations. No paper towels, you are given one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom and are told to go buy your own if you need more. There was no oven mit or pot holder for the kitchen. We were told that there was one dish rag supplied in the kitchen when we asked about paper towels, but the "dish rag" was a restaurant cloth napkin... not much help in a kitchen. The air conditioner stopped working one day, and lastly there was a horrible smell in the master bathroom coming from the drains.... Do NOT stay here if you have any normal expectations of a resort. Orlando has too many nice condos to use this cheap, sorry, unprofessional excuse of a resort. I have stayed in about 12 different condo resorts in Orlando and all are far superior to this place. Everything was great. The room was clean, nicely furnished, and spacious enough for my family which includes 4 children. The washer and dryer in the unit made it easy for cleaning and packing our clothes. The pool area was awesome. Kids had fun in the kiddie pool. The poolside café along with the grocery store and McDonalds at the end of the road made […] getting food easy for everyone. The resort’s location just off I4 made it convenient for my wife to travel to the theme park with the children while I attended work functions in the morning. Since we only stayed over the weekend there was a $35 clean fee which we knew of in advance. While at the cafe by the pool we met a nice family from the UK that was enjoying their stay. We arrived to find that there was a daily cleaning fee as well as a security deposit or "insurance fee" to cover potential damage. This is in the very fine print on your booking page. The units are condos-turned-hotel rental due to the downturn of the housing market. They have low-end finishes for the most part and are flimsily constructed. You hear […] all your neighbors. Trash bins are located in every other building, so our neighbors simply piled the trash outside their doors all weekend, resulting in trash strew throughout the complex. The clientele were rough. The carpets were dirty, the bath and showers were moldy, the towels were hairy and I felt the need to wash all the dishes and utensils prior to use. On the plus side,the unit was very large, the pool area is lovely, the location is ultra-convenient to groceries, restaurants and gas and we were at the transportation hub for Disney within 10 min.
