Olin nyt kolmatta kertaa samassa hotellissa. Paria seikkaa lukuun ottamatta olin erittäin tyytyväinen. Suurin harmi oli se, että bide-suihkua ei ollut, ja se suihkujärjestelmä, joka oli, toimi alkeellisesti. Säätö ei toiminut, vaan vettä tippui jokaisesta kolmesta kohdasta, vaikka miten olisi säätänyt. Veden tulo alkoi aina kylmällä vedellä, ja sitä siis tuli joka tuutista. No, kyllä tilanteen kanssa oppi pärjäämään. Toinen harmi oli se, että vaimoni yöpyku katosi liinavaatteiden mukana, ja takaisin sitä ei saatu.

Hotelli sijaitsee hieman rähjäisellä kadulla mutta hotelli itsessään oli oikein siisti ja miellyttävä. Huoneet olivat pienet mutta toimivat. Erityistä ihastusta herätti kattoterassin yönäkymä. Hotelli sijaitsi keskeisellä paikalla. Hotellissa erittäin ystävällinen palvelu. Huoneet todella siistit. Aamupala monipuolinen ja erittäin hyvä. Olimme todella tyytyväisiä hotelliin. Valitsen myös ensi kerralla!

Yövyimme 3 yötä viimeisellä vierailullamme New Yorkiin. Olemme vierailleet cityssä kymmenenkunta kertaa, joten cityn ja ympäröivien piirikuntien hotellitarjonta on tullut laajemmin tutuksi. The Strand on erittäin hyvä valinta, jos haluaa suhteellisen rauhallisella sijainnilla olevan hotellin, joka on todellakin keskellä tunnetuimpia nähtävyyksiä ja […] ostoskohteita. Jos sijainnista jotain negatiivista haluaa löytää, niin lähimmälle metroasemalle on kolmisen korttelia, joten sateella ei pääse luikahtamaan metroon ilman kastumista. Hotelli itsessään on erittäin hyvässä kunnossa, melkein voisi luulla ettei olekaan Manhattanin hotellissa. No, huoneen koko sentään on tuttua cityä, kahden täysikokoisen matkalaukun avaamiseen ei ole tilaa ilman että käyttää sänkyjä alustana. Palvelu toimii erinomaisesti, ja kattokerroksen ravintolasta on todella erinomainen näkymä Empire State Building:iin. "The Strand hotel New Yorkissa - loistava kokemus"
Hotellin sijainti on aivan loistava, mutta erityiseksi tämän paikan teki todella palvelualtis henkilökunta, hyvin hoidetut tilat ja viihtyisät huoneet sekä maukas aamiainen! Mahtava paikka. Ikkunasta suora näkymä Empire State Buildingille ja kattoterassilta aukesi myös upea näköala koko kaupunkiin.

Hyvä sijainti, siisti huone ja kylpyhuone, ystävällinen palvelu. Aamiaistilan takka oli erityisen kodikas viileänä talviaamuna. Hinta-laatusuhde erittäin hyvä.
Todella kiva hotelli, erittäin siisti ja tyylikäs, kylpyhuone mukaan lukien; hyvällä paikalla ja silti rauhallinen. Henkilökunta avulias ja ystävällinen. Suosittelen ehdottomasti.

Super comfy, clean, quiet room. Helpful nice staff. This hotel is arond the corner from Times Square and mMaceys it is within walking to Central Park and Grand Central Terminal. The Empire State Building is 800 feet sway and the view from the roof top bar is fabulous! Would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Loved the stay in the Strand. We had booked a 2 double bed with view of the Empire State Building. The room was really clean and comfortably furnished. The room size was pretty decent compared to NY standards. The Restaurant of the first floor was very impressive where we enjoyed our breakfast/brunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. "The Strand"
The hotel lobby is small but attractive. The stàff Was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were a good size for Manhattan and clean, although I didn't find the iPad they advertised for usage in the room. The bathroom was beautiful and towels soft and fluffy.

Stayed in a deluxe double. rooms were small but typical NYC size. Beds comfy & room clean. Really nice view of empire state building. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again if my goal was to be in this part of NYC. We walked to times square easily in a few minutes.

The Strand is a geat Hotel with friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable. The Roof Top Bar had a great view of the Empire State Building.

"I liked it"
I found this to be a nice place to stay. I chose the executive room upgrade, and the room was large and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. Laundry service was fine. The restaurant was very good for a full breakfast. I found the rooftop bar too loud to stay long. As noted previously, the hotel does add an automatic 18% tip […] onto food and drink tabs, so make sure you don't tip twice. The Strand Hotel was a great weekend retreat for my husband and I. The room was comfortable and clean. Whew!! What a relief, as it was our first stay at the Strand and as every seasoned NYC traveler knows, not all hotels live up to their ratings. "Had a great stay with my family"
Very clean, great views from our 15th floor room, breakfast was well done, and the staff was very nice and professional. Also, I liked that it was a smaller hotel, so you don't get lost in the lobby or feel like your part of some herd. Will return. Also, great roof top bar with a lovely views.
The staff where very friendly and helpful. I would have liked a sit down breakfast. I didn't care for the breakfast at all they only had skim milk,plus not alot 2 choose from.
Everything was good, except that the room was very small.

The staff was nice, The location was OK we can see the empire state building. BUT..The TV's brightness was dark and it can't be changed. You can hear when the room upstairs is using their bathroom from our room. So many noises coming from other rooms. For a boutique hotel, it was a surprice to find the rooms were very large and bathroom too. It was very quiet on the weekend. No honking cars or trucks rumbling by. The deluxe King Room is not what I thought it would be. The bed was very uncomfortable and 2 days after leaving, my back still hurts. For the money, you can find something much better.

Very comfortable, fresh,and quiet room. Only 8 or 9 rooms per floor means very little foot traffic outside your door. Never heard any neighbors or elevator. The Strand Hotel is a boutique hotel with friendly service. They make you feel welcome. The breakfast area needs work and the breakfast menu falls short. "A Nice Boutique Hotel in Mid Town"
The Strand was a very nice hotel: good location, good rate. I will stay there again. The lobby staff (doorman, front desk, concierge) was exceedingly pleasant and helpful, and the hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. The (European style) breakfast was fine. "Modern hotel near major tourist sites"
The Hotel Strand was clean, modern and we enjoyed our stay very much. The bathroom was particularly impressive with its tile floor and rainfall showerhead. We also enjoyed the continental, buffet breakfast provided to all guests in the lobby every morning. "Nice, clean, modern and centrally located"
This is an excellent hotel if you want to see NY and live close to everything. It is off the noisy Times Square area, but still in walking distance to everything. The rooms are modern, the breakfast good and the staff friendly. I would go again!
