This is my third stay at Avia, and I've chosen to stay here over other hotels because of the location, the service, cleanliness and overall comfort. I enjoy their dining area downstairs, as well as their bar, and the location is within walking distance to such great locations as The Fatted Calf, The Oxbow Market, Morimoto's, etc. Oenotri is right across […] the way as well .On this particular trip, my friend had never been to Napa, and it was a special occasion- upon arriving to our room (on a Sunday), we had a view of the alley. Gorgeous hotel. Pay the $15 to valet your car, you can walk everywhere in downtown Napa. Be sure to try breakfast at the General Store. Book a trip on the Napa Wine Train, wine and a gourmet meal while touring the vineyards. Wonderful winebars and restaurants nearby. The Avia has its own winebar in the lobby and a restaurant as well. The town of Napa has been doing more to get wine country tourist to stick around town and Avia gives them a great reason too! The service was friendly and efficient. They had my car where it needed to be when it needed to be. The room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable while was appropriate (no pillow overload). It's conveniently located […] to tasting rooms and restaurants in town,but it is obviously in town requiring one to drive up valley for all the other Napa delights to be experienced. They have a restaurant which looks good, but we did not eat there so can't comment. We've stayed at several resorts up and down the Napa Valley and Avia provides excellent accommodations at less than 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of several of the most expensive in the valley. Lisätietoja

Very nice stay although the two other couples got suites and I got a regular room. But my room was nice and bed was very comfortable. Great location and friendly staff.

Everything was perfect, although the room was rather small. The bed and pillows were very comfortable (unusual for me to say about those found in a hotel) and the shower was outstanding. There were quite a few interesting restaurants nearby and we walked everywhere.

Know that Avia is in the town of Napa and not up valley like some resorts surrounded by vineyards and enjoy yourself immensely. I've stayed at several resorts up and down the Valley and Avia holds its own very well. The staff was attentive and timely. The room spacious and clean. The second floor patio provided a comfortable hangout for our lazy party […] of six. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food. The town of Napa has continually added food and entertainment options giving Avia a chance to expand from merely a launching pad for up valley excursion to providing a full Napa Valley experience. Additionally, though not as secluded and romantic as CR, Carneros, Solage and the like the price of Avia comes in at less than half to a third of the others. Hope this helps! Lisätietoja

We were very pleased to be upgraded to a larger room. The only problems arose the next morning when the maid woke us up at 9, and the breakfast service was overwhelmed, with customers waiting a long time before being seated and served.

Basic room is very very small especially for two people.Noise insulation from both room sides and front door is non existent. Noise from alley (3rd floor up) was loud in early morning from trash cans. Hotel staff including door/bellmen were very nice and acciomodating. Breakfast including chicken hash was fabulous.

all the great local restaurants and downtown attractions. A super convenient short drive into either Sonoma or Napa Valley wineries. The hotel was well appointed and well maintained. The staff was friendly and accomodating, the rooms cozy yet comfortable and the only negative I would point out is the Kitchen Restaurant. The food choices are limited, […] but the food qualityand the preparation is quite good, but the service was slow, so painfully slow. I believe it was because they were understaffed that day and seemed totally unprepared for their registered Guests to actually decide to eat breakfast in their restaurant. That was our only small blip during our 3 day trip. Overall, nothing that will keep us from returning to this property and we will definitely recommend the Avia to our friends and look forward to our next trip back to Napa and the Avia Napa Hotel. Super friendly staff, very accommodating and there for anything you need and seem to anticipate ur moves so service was quick and just right. Beautiful property and the location allows walking to several tasting rooms and restaurants .. The restaurant Oentari is just across the street an gets awesome reviews. It was already booked when we found out […] about it so couldn't go but might be advisable to book a table there an try it out .. Other recommendations would be Cuvée and UVA Tratoria both just a few blocks away, or 2 min cab ride.. Winerys highly suggested for day trip, Jarvis an Castello Di Amarosa.. We spent two days here during our honeymoon. This was our haven from the wine tours in Sonoma and NAPA. Our room was fantastic. The location is right in downtown NAPA and easy to get everywhere. There are many fantastic restaurants within walking distance but remember to call for reservations. The front desk and conceirges were extremely helpful. The […] hotel even provided passes/vouchers to some of the better nearby wineries. Valet parking right at the front doors. We really enjoyed the hotel and the staff made us feel really welcome and made sure we had a great time. We really recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Napa.

Good-sized room with a fair amount of light. Wine tastings in the evenings are nice. Free pass to gym next door. We booked this hotel because of the fireplace on the deck, which then was closed/covered because of rain, but not the hotel's fault. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the room. Be warned that pool/hot tub is at the gym next door. Also, the quality of the towels didn't match the modern feel of the room - they felt cheap. Otherwise everything was great.

This was our first stay at this hotel and first visit to Napa. The room was spectacular. Finally, someone has had the sense to install laminate/hardwood flooring in a hotel. We visited in the off-season so it was very quiet in Napa, but it did seem that the rooms and hotel were well sound-proofed. Very modern, very clean, and very comfortable room. […] Parking was free. The room was on the small side, but we didn't intend to spend much time in there so it wasn't a problem. The bathroom on the other hand was quite large, though there was no tub. The shower was AMAZING! The staff was great. The rooms seem to have been nearly brand new. The bed was firm, but very comfortable. As for the location, it's a great area for […] restaurants and bars in walking distance...the wineries couldn't be accessed without a car/drive. Everything was good about the hotel, except the room was chilly so we had to leave the heater on all night which was noisy. The bathroom door had to be repaired as it would not close all the way. Maintenance was good about fixing it. My other complaint was the garage access. Had to go outside to bring luggage back and forth. This is a newer "boutique" hotel located in downtown Napa. It is really a good location with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful. I reccommend Valet Parking as the parking behind the hotel has no direct entrance and you have to walk all the way around the building. The rooms are adequate albeit small, Now here is […] the two bad things - The BED was the worst bed we ever slept in. The matress literally sloped inward. It was like sleeping in a canyonand consequently I didn't sleep hardly at all and woke up with an aching back and neck. As we only had one night here & had gotten in late from dinner, it wasn't worth packing everything up to change rooms, which we had already done upon check-in as they had put us in a room overlooking the roof of the building next door and it weas my wife's birthday. Second thing - the HVAC (Heat and Air) is ridiculously noisy. Hyatt just took over this hotel and hopefully they will make some changes - like the beds and maybe some maintenace on the HVAC The staff, especially bell staff and valet and front desk were extremely nice and went out of there way to accomodate. We had two rooms both were great!! At the end of a long day of wine tasting, my best friend and I were able to take one if the bottles we bought go out to the terrce and light the fire and relax its quiet and so nice!!! And the people that work their are all do nice and help fule! We are only from San Francisco, do its close enough but yet perfect time […] to get away I won't stay any were else! We stayed in the soaking tub suite, it was simply amazing. The convenience of the location and the quality of the room couldn't have been any better.

Beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Walking distance to almost everything. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is situated on the quiet side of town. The location places you within walking distance to many restaurants and quaint shopping. You must dine across the street at Oentri's ....best pizza ever. A swanky trendy atmosphere with reasonably priced food, as well as the new Tarla....mediterranean that opened right next door. there is also a great […] tasting room next door John Anthony. The Avia is right in the heart of Downtown Napa and is surrounded by shopping and dining options. The hotel itself is pretty swank and the master tub suite, though somewhat small-ish, is cute and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed it, but just one tip: use the in room fireplace to warm the room on cold nights or if staying during warm season, blast […] the AC before you go to bed -- the in-room fan is monstrously loud and you will kick yourself if you need to run it during the night (either for heat or A/C). Stayed two nights end of Nov 2011 at Avia. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel it self is lovely. The room we had was a little on the small side which was the only draw back.

We loved the hotel everything was great! The best thing about the hotel happened when we left, my husband left his very nice watch sitting on the counter in the bathroom when we left. We didn't realize until we were at the airport to go home. We called the hotel and they urgently went to our room found the watch and shipped it immediately! A very nice hotel overall. We really enjoyed most aspects of this hotel but the uncomfortable bed and poor room service significantly impacted our stay. Our bed (room 413) had a significant dip in the middle which made it difficult not to roll that way. We placed pillows under the mattress on the 2nd night in an attempt to alleviate the problem. I […] expected much more from a hotel like this and was thankful to get back to my own bed after our stay. Please clean our room! We headed out wine tasting around 10:00 am and made sure to leave the note on our door set to Please Clean. When we got back to our room around 4:30pm it still hadn't been cleaned. Not too big of a deal, we went downstairs for the in house wine tasting and asked the service folks just outside our room if they could get to our room in the next hr.
