The Zagreb was a great hotel for a short stay in Istanbul. The room was small but well organized, staff was great the breakfast was amazing. It is an easy walk to all major attractions.

The hotel is located in the business district of Istanbul close to all major places one wants to visit. The metro and tram are a mere 5 minute walk, avoid taxis, the congestion in the area adds to the already expensive taxi ride. The hotel sells a card loaded with 20 lira, good for a few trips on the metro, sub, bus, ferry etc. The fellows at the front […] desk are very helpful with maps etc. The rooms are clean, european size (i.e small for north american standards) but super clean and contain everything for your comfort except bath tub. The pool is heated, clean and free until 16:00, then you pay. Sauna, Turk bath and Hamam are clean and located on the 5th floor - 10 dollars for the package. Breakfast buffet is free, good coffee, fresh eggs, lots of local food including fresh bread, pancakes, lentil soup (excellent) and fresh fruit available. The decor is nouveau baroque euro/asia, winged angels next to one legged pirates guard the dining room entry. Marble floors and winding stairs case welcome you up the first floor, the elevator starts here and goes up 6 floors. Warning handicapped crowd, no elevator from the entry to first floor! The staff speaks english and is very helpful and friendly. Note, this is not hollywood, no band and fireworks to welcome you, smiles are euro style, sparse but always sincere. Rooms have air con and good heating. Bathroom shower only, but clean and functional. Middle easterners and french rejoice, no bidet but bum shower in toilet. All in all-good! Lisätietoja

Overall very nice experience. The open air swimming pool is a great addition. Though it's not that close to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque, you can walk there very easily or take the tram. Staff was very helpful.

Very nice and clean hotel, requsted one big bed and found a two beds, when I asked they offer me canging the room, so they give me another room that is smaller than the small one I had. LOL... over all it wa nice, clean and safe people are very friendly.

The swimming pool is only free to guests up to 16:00hrs. After this point all guests must pay to use the pool. If we had known this before hand we would not have booked. Otherwise Hotel is good and staff are very friendly and very helpful. Location is good.

On arrival we were asked whether or not we wanted one bed or two. We asked for one and our room was on the corner of the hotel. This meant that the room was triangular in shape and not much room for two people. The space for clothes was minimal. Hi, Me and my family just came back after a week in Istanbul we stayed at Zebreb hotel during our holiday and found the Hotel staff to be very nice and helpful at all times weather in morning or late night they went out there way to make sure we was happy with our stay. This was the first time we have ever been to Istanbul and we already planning next trip. Overall it is a nice and clean hotel and near the main attractions. The breakfast was good and staff very cop-operative. My room was next to a main road and at times I felt like we are sleepiing on the side of the road. If you are planning to stay in this hotel ask for a room away from the road.

I had read that the hotel has small bedrooms, but I didn't think they would be SOO small. We were 2 adults and 1 baby and there was almost no room to walk or open our bags. They advertised that we could have a bed for the baby... they had two travel beds in the hotel and both were broken (we used the one that was "less" broken). Their swimming pool […] is only free of charge until 16:00 (which they forget to write on their add) and it is a bit cold in winter... they save on heating, and only turn them on in the morning if they see someone coming. I think they should also write in their description that the reception of the hotel is actually located in the first floor, and that there is no elevator to it... that is to say, the elevator starts from the first floor, and from the ground floor there is a flight of stairs. Usually not a big problem but a little bit of an inconvenience to people traveling with a stroller (like us) or people with a disability. Having said that, the personnel was extremely helpful and nice at all times and the hotel is well-located... just a couple of blocks away from the tram and the metro and for those who like to walk a bit more, just a km or so to Grand Bazaar... Zagreb is just off tram route to main sites which can be walked in 20mins - breakfast was good hot and cold buffet - relaxed plenty of table room and not too busy - decent in door splash pool on 7th floor roof with great view through glass wall - hotel is well maintained with clean rooms and toilets - bed comfortable enough - stayed 5 nights - staff […] were helpful, pleasant and English speaking - I was driving and hotel had parking arrangements with Best Western round the corner for a reasonable rate - no use for disabled as there are 2 flights of stairs to reception on first floor where there is lift to other 6 floors - the hotel is half the price of Best Western but I am sure has just as good basics having stayed at other BWs - is a few blocks from university and indoor souk on way to main sites - busy city suburban shopping area - I have no hesitation recommending to able bodied and would go back. Overall, the hotel was not good. It was nothing like the pictures we have seen online, the rooms were the smallest that I have ever seen. This hotel is rated as four stars according to your website; however, this hotel is maximum two or three stars. We usually rely on Expedia 's rating, but this time it was not like the pictures nor the rating.

I chose this hotel to be close to getting out the Otogar bus station. The area has some smart hotels, but is mainly modern clothes shops. Room and bathroom are small but adequate. Theres a gap in the shower so its very messy. No lift to the ground floor makes it difficult to check in/out with the luggages.

This hotel was difficult to find as there was just a doorway off the street. There was a small sign. It is quite a way into the peninsula although close to the tram stop. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. It is served until 10am for late-risers. However don't be a late-riser - you might miss the chocolate pancakes! The room was clean with good facilites. However the electronic safe in our room did not work. Although our room faced the street (and the street is more busy at nighttime because of the street traders) the balcony doors were thick eough to keep out the noise. The bathroom was always clean. The only bad thing about the hotel is the doorway to enter goes to stairs to reception on the first floor. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggage up. Overall this is a great hotel. I stayed at 3 different hotels in Turkey, One in Istanbul, one in Kusadasi and another in Izmir. This hotel is spectacular! , everything is modern , new and shiny. Extremely clean and let me tell you something about the staff and the people working there: THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF!! They are extremely polite, cooperative, knowledgable and just AWESOME! […] , There is a gentleman (Unfortunately I forgot his name) but he wears glasses at the receptionist and is usually there from mornings until late afternoons, his english is perfect, and he is one of the nicest people I've ever met in Turkey. The overall room was clean, only the shower could have been better. The AC worked as long as the key was in the wall fixture, but off when gone, so had to cool down the room each time you returned. Very friendly and helpful staff. Small elevators and slow, used the stairs most of the time.

It was a great hotel for the price. It is located about a 5-10 minute walk from the big tourist items: The Grand Bazarre an the Blue Mosque. It is right by a tram line so you can take the tram, or if you walk, you can follow the tram (thus, it's difficult to get lost). Walking down to the port is another 10 or so minutes from the Bazarre area (or again, […] also on the tram line). I thought it was an excellent location-- just near everything, without being smack in the middle of it all. The rooms were efficient and nice, and the rooftop pool was gorgeous (the roof retracts-- there is direct outside sun when it's nice, or a glass ceiling for bad weather). here are the few things to consider! there is not an elevator in the entrance so you have to walk up on the narrow and vertical stairs to get the reception and the elevator. hard when you have luggage and kids on stroller. our room was way too small we could not find a corner to put our luggage. everything was on top of each other in the closet. obviously […] room was not vacuumed since we literally found a few fruit pits and a construction nail on the floor. TV was acting odd. As I try to turn down the sound it would always go to the first channel. No need to mention there are limited number of TV channels and quiet few of them not working. AC's thermostat was not working so no matter what temperature you set it, it runs non stop to freeze you. you get up and turn it off and in such small room you are back to sweating in no time. there is a roof top pool with great panoramic view but pretty small. they also charge you 20 bucks after 16.00 pm for the pool. Breakfast buffet was great. neighbourhood is kinda invaded with street vendors and their eastern european shoppers. the best thing about the hotel is the price in comparision to other hotels in the area. A real gem, lovely and clean establishment , fantastic staff and very helpful with directions and airport transfers...... A real family atmosphere which made me feel safe like i was at home. We had stayed in the Grand Washington up the road as part of a tour group, when the tour was over we moved over to Zagreb, and the difference was clear. - Staff were very friendly - Breakfast buffet was great for a small hotel - Were able to check in quite early (had to wait for a room to be cleaned but not long) - We were taken to two rooms on the […] same floor and given the choice of which one we'd like - Pool looked amazing, although we didn't use it Keep in mind that the star rating is not the same in Turkey as it is in Europe/UK, however this wasn't far off 4 stars. The area apparently has a lot of russian prostitution, however I didn't see any myself, and this is a hotel district so it's relatively safe, but females should be accompanied by a male at all times just to be on the safe side. For transport to/from the airport, both hotels recommended getting metro then tram, however, it's only a 5-10min walk straight to the metro, so if you're young/fit i'd recommend doing that instead, that way you save on buying an extra token each way, and one less change Lisätietoja
