Acropolis Hotel - Lontoo

After 5 minutes in the hotel we decided not to stay there and to book a room somewhere else. For the price we paid the quality of the hotel was very very low! I don't recommend it at all!

We, a family group of 3 people, spent 1 night in Hotel Acropolis. The hotel itself is converted from a normal house (UK-style) and for this reason is quite narrow. There was no elevator, though we never expected there was. Although the corridors were not the widest, the room and beds were good size and we fit well, although our luggage did not. The […] biggest downside was no proper toilet/shower (there was a shower cabinet in the room) in the room. The closest toilet was 1 floor up or down in the corridor. Location-wise the hotel was situated well as there was a bus stop to hammersmith/shepherds bush in front of the hotel and in a walkable distance there was tube stations and Westfield-mall. I chose this place because I needed somewhere cheap to stay in Hammersmith for a job interview. It's certainly cheap and in a convenient, easy to find location, and the surrounding area was fine too. However...the hotel itself was not particularly clean inside. My room was very basic and had cracks in the walls. The bed mattress had seen better days […] and it felt a bit like lying on top of a sack of potatoes. There was only a single bright lightbulb in the centre of the ceiling; no reading light. Breakfast was reasonable. It seemed more like a crumbling B&B than a hotel...but you get what you pay for, and if you're not too fussy and only intend to stay for 1 or 2 nights then it's a reasonable place to stay! No toilet in the room, mirror cracker, shower and sink poor quality and dirty, windows coming away from the wall. When I arrived I had problems with my reservation, and I was overall totally unimpressed by the hotel

Hotel Acropolis er et lite og litt sjuskete hotell i Sheperds Bush område i London. Backpackerstandard. OK, det er forholdsvis billig, men det er ikke mye man får for pengene heller. Sengene var ok og rene. Huset er et gammelt byhus, som bærer preg av tidenes tann, flekker på teppene og i taket osv. Frokosten er minimal; 2 toast, scramled eggs, litt […] syltetøy og pulverkaffe. Frokostrom er samtidig kjøkken, kontor og soveplass for nattevakten. Rommet vårt var stort med 1 lite dobbelt seng + en enkelt seng. Gammelt tv + kjøleskap på rommet. Sanitær: en vask på rommet + dusjkabinett midt i rommet. Ellers toalett på gangen + et dusjkott til. For så vidt rent, men som sagt bærer tidenes tann. Området er ok. Undergrunnstasjon Sheperds Bush og Hammersmith i gåavstand. Flere billige take away/restaurant i Goldhawk Road. Stort Westfield kjøpesenter like ved. Mange andre lignende hotell i samme gate. Konklusjon: anbefales ikke. Man må i alle fall være klar over hva man får, for å ikke bli skuffet. Vil kalle det backpacker standard. For prisen vi betalte hadde vi fått noe mye bedre hos en av de store kjedene i Oslo, men for London er dette kanskje billig. This hotel's room dose not have bath room. They have common bath room. They have wifi network, but it's condition is bad in own room. I can connect network in reception room. このホテルは部屋に風呂トイレがありません。共同シャワーを使ってました。ネットワークは使えますが部屋に場所によってか電波が弱いので受付のある部屋でつなげてました。朝はご飯を作ってくれます。
