We were 9 days in hotel Butterfly in july 2011. The hotel was a positive surprise, as we thought it wouldnt be on the beach (hotels.com map shows there is a distance to the beach). However, the hotel is right on the beach and the beach is actually a very nice, white sand, "private" beach. And if that is too small, there are other beaches just nearby. Hotel staff was nice and the hotel has a swimming pool plus 4 swirlpools, where it's nice to relax etc. loads of sunbeds aswell and you are able to move them to the beach. There is a restaurant at the hotel, where they have different menus lunchtime and dinnertime etc. We didnt have breakfast included, so we didnt eat the breakfast at the hotel as it would have been really expensive. I would like to also mention, that there werent really any restaurants nearby, except maybe a few.. and a nice chinese restaurant across the street. Hotel is perfectly situated if you want to enjoy laying in the sun and swimming in the perfect light-blue caribbean sea. But as I said, you need to take a taxi or a bus to get to restaurants or night-life (there is a gentemans club across the street aswell). Oistin's mall is like 1 km away, so you can easily walk there, though. Our hotel room had everything we needed. We bought groseries and made breakfast there ourselves. If you are very sensitive to noise, you might be disturbed by neighbour rooms tv or the sound from the street. There are a lot of things to do in Barbados (cruises, snorkling, adventure trips), and the hotel staff can help you with those. I would recommend this hotel :)

I was very pleased to Allamanda Beach hotel. The hotel really exceeded my expectations. Service was very good and helpful and the beach was only few meter from the hotel which was very nice. Room was big and it was cleaned and the towels was changed every day. Bustop to Bridgetown was just at front of the hotel.

"Extended Weekend in Paradise!"
This is the first time I've been to Barbados and could not have selected a better place to stay. The Beach View is directly across the street from the beach and within a short walking distance from great hotels and convenient stores. We took a city bus for $2 Babados (US$1.00) to Hole Town and enjoyed even better restaurants. The Beachview is clean, […] well appointed, and the staff was not only helpful, but friendly and even allowed us to join them at the owner's home for a Thursday night ritual of "meeting other guests." "Beach View - just what it says"
The hotel is just across a road from the beach and fish market. Walking distance to several very good restaurants. Our apartment, no 303, was in Paw Paw (block no 1 - nearest the road) The apartment is very spacious,furnished to a very high standard and is well equipped. There is a daily maid service and sheets/towels are changed every 4th day.We had […] a great view of the beach. My only negative comment is the apartment, although air conditoned, was very warm. this is due to the balcony area being enclosed and not enough air flow. The other apartment blocks have open balconies but they probably dont have such a great beach view.Overall we were delighted with the apartment and facilities and were prepared to put up with the heat for the views. "West Coast Barbados"
Excellent place to stay - friendly,efficient staff, clean and comfortable. Best blocks to stay in are central 2 blocks further away from the road which can be slightly noisy.Ask for top floor if you can to get a sea view but groundfloor better for walking straight out to the pool and especially if you have children. "Beach view- Delightful"
VERY nice hotel-condo. The apartments are large, comfortable, well furnished and clean. EXCELLENT service - the owner and employees are warm, kind and not intrusive. The pool is very nice and quiet. The hotel is across the road from the sea. If you want to have a sea view, you need to be on the 3rd floor. We had a ground floor apartment that had its […] charm (close to the pool). If we had stayed longer, we may have preferred a 3rd floor appt. The beach is across the street from the hotel but for a nice place to sit, you need to walk approx. 5 minutes. The hotel is close to Holetown, a nice place with excellent restaurants. To go from place to place we mostly took the city bus (BBD2 or USD 1). While we normally like to rent cars, the bus service to the various destinations was very convenient. We did however rent a Moke for one day to visit the Island. It's great when it doesn't rain. "Great apartment, location could be better!."
The Beach View apartments are well equipped and maintained to a very high standard. The rooms are large and airy with great views over the pool, gardens and Caribbean Sea. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms but I understand that plans are in place to install them in the lounge/dining room - which is a necessity! The staff are extremely helpful […] – from booking airport transfers and food orders prior to arrival to trips and taxis. The manager’s weekly cocktail party had a lovely atmosphere where guests had a chance to meet. There are many nice touches from the management team such as free iced water by the pool and an honesty bar for cold drinks. Pool toys are available to borrow as is beach equipment such as snorkels, flippers and surf boards. Snorkelling on the reef behind the fish market is great! Although we were dubious about holidaying in the rainy season, the short heavy showers were a welcome relief to the hot humid conditions – and its fun swimming in the rain! However, take care to avoid sunburn, as the sun is very powerful, even through the clouds. Walking far along the beach is difficult, particularly at high tide, as properties are often built up to the water’s edge. Unfortunately, access to food supplies was difficult. The local petrol station had a very small range of essentials but made super pizzas – half the price of delivery from the large pizza chains. Where was all the local fruit? - good quality produce was very scarce! The local fish market at the bottom of the road was really handy – swordfish steaks were wonderful, as was the cooking advice from the lady fishmonger. Flying fish were great - when available. Food was very expensive and restaurant charges were more than double the UK. The apartment’s kitchen facilities were therefore very useful. A car is a must to access the supermarkets along the ABC Highway. Travel on the manic local buses (reggae music blaring!) is an experience not to be missed - 2$BD to travel anywhere is great value! "Beach View Hotel"
Lovely hotel. Unfortunately, our room was very close to a busy street with lots of traffic noise. Also, the closest beach (across the street) was very narrow so lots of traffic noise and fumes. But a very reasonable price for a west coast hotel.
"Wonderful Place for a Vacation"
I just returned from Barbados and really enjoyed staying at Beach View. The staff is top notch and attended to any need I had. The grounds are immaculate and the hotel is quiet and relaxing. My room was huge! Great kitchen and living room to relax in during the evening.

"Wonderful Hotel on all counts"
Beach View has superb sets of rooms! It's pool is gorgeous and so pleasant--both for swimming and for sitting around. And it's convenient to marverlous beaches. I loved our week-long stay there. Bravo!
"Would Recommend to Others"
My experience at The Beach View was very good. The location was good, although not on the beach, it was very convenient to cross the street to get to the beach. The cost/benefit of being across the street from the beach vs. on the beach vs. was well worth it. The landscaping and pool were so nice, that you felt like you were in a tropical oasis.
