"lovely hotel in Haifa!"
We were delighted with our brief stay at the Colony Hotel. Our room was bright (even without turning on lights) and the plumbing worked better than anywhere else we stayed :-) A complimentary 2 L bottle of water in the room was a lovely touch. The breakfast (included, as typical in Israeli hotels) was varied, tasty and plentiful but not "over the top" […] (this was a good thing) Location is fabulous, at the foot of the Bahai gardens. MANY restaurants on the same street; hard to choose when we were only there one night! Be aware we found no Kosher restaurants on the block. Great choice for a very fair price. Only feedback would have been to have directions ahead of time re: where to park. The lot is behind the hotel and it's not obvious how to get there due to one-way streets. "Friendly, Helpful, and Comfortable"
The staff was very courteous and friendly. They were very helpful in giving us directions in both English and Hebrew. The room was very comfortable and the shower was nice.
"Colony Haifa great location and atmosphere"
We stayed at the Colony for 10 days in December 2010. The location is great, as there are lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. The location at the bottom of Mount Carmel also gives you the best position to appreciate the beauty and majesty of the Baha'i gardens. Nice Hotel in the German Colony with lots of nice restaurants around. Rooms facing the street are quite noisy. Very nice quite rooms are also available. Stone flooring makes it easy to keep the room clean. Air conditioning quite. Perfect clean bed and pillow. Very good breakfast (cake or salad). Espresso machine available in the break fast room. Free […] wifi available. Friendly staff tries to charge the bill in Shaekel instead of Dollar which makes the room a little bit more expensive. Staff and manager very helpful. "Colony Hotel is mooie plek om te zijn."
Prachtige stijl, rustig vormgegeven. De omgeving is gezellig. Veel leuke restaurants. En de German Colony is vol geschiedenis. Heel aardige mensen. Gelukkig gewoon vrij toegang tot internet.
