Yllätyin hotellin sijsinnista koska olin katsonut kartalta,että olisi ollut lähempänä varsinaista keskustaa ja rantaa.Palvelutaso oli hyvä ja miellyttävä hlökunta. Sauna ja kylpylä ok.Hotelli liian sivussa odotuksiini.

Ei täysin vastannut odotuksiamme! Huoneesta ei ollut luvattua merinäköalaa, mikro oli rikki, kylpyhuoneen hana irti, ilmastointi ei pääsääntöisesti toiminut, Wi-Fi ei toiminut huoneessa lainkaan, yms. Näistä huolimatta lomamme oli onnistunut!

Valitsin hotellin sijainnin ja tason perusteella. Sijainti kongressikeskuksen vieressä sopi minulle, mutta oli kaukana keskustasta. Plussaa lähellä olevista ostoskeskuksesta ja hiekkarannasta. Hotel nice, location - too far from City Centre

Upon arriving at our hotel the shower drain was clogged. Due to the abnormal design of the bathroom, their are no walls to the sides of the shower. The shower drain is in the middle of the bathroom floor. So if the drain is clogged, the whole bathroom will flood. I called the front desk to report the problem and they said they would fix it immediately. […] The following day the drain was not repaired and we still could not use the shower. The first you notice when you get to the hotel is the monolithic unfinished building next door. It's a slight distraction and devalues the experience. Also, I recommend against getting the Executive because there are barely any snacks in the bar, where snacks are promised. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and make the experience acceptable. […] Not visiting the spa is our fault as we were out sightseeing from 9:00-9:00, so the spa was always closed when we got back to the hotel; my opinion is that it should be open until at least 11:00pm if not midnight, it's a 4* hotel in a beautiful city, not a wellness center where that's all you're going for. Room was really comfy, shower was great but needs a door as it's tricky to get into. Loved the bed and the tv. The view was amazing but I've been told it's not a guarantee; it depends on which room you receive; SUGGESTION TO THE HOTEL: simply charge more for the sea-view rooms and give a discount for the ones that where the monstrosity is visible. I attended a conference at the conference center, and the hotel is right across the street, so the location is great for conferences. It's also right near the sea, so good for views, fresh air, etc. There is a train stop right in front of the hotel that you can take to the more interesting areas of town, so that's nice. There were a lot of light switches, good for mood lighting, but a bit complicated - one light could only be turned off using a touch screen panel. Also the TV had no English channels, just Spanish or Catalan. I usually try to keep up on the news when I travel, but instead watched the Spanish equivalent of Splash ("stars" learning to dive) and Millionaire - was good practice to brush up on my high school Spanish, but not very interesting! Good hotel which offers good value for those on a budget. Only takes 15 mins into centre of barcelona via the metro and was only a couple mins walk from the beach. Staff were fine though unspectacular. Room was well maintained and very clean with a comfy bed nice bathroom. Minor gripes, no kettle, just a microwave, ice machine on our floor wasn't working. […] Also our room was facing a building site of a next door hotel and, with a deluxe room you have to pay to use the spa. Clean and nice hotel, good service, reception answered all questions we had regarding the city transportation. The only issue I saw was that the bathroom had a big see through glass window which even when covered with the pull down curtain, we could easily see others taking a shower. Air Conditioning is the worst, you can’t control it. Either you are in the North Pole or it becomes hot! It has a carpet (not that clean at all) and not good to have a carpet in a hotel near the beach. The maintenance of the room "the worst" 2 doors (bath and toilet) not working, the main lights (above the lavatories) not working. When you call the […] staff the answer is: "I cannot fix it at all, we need special pieces and we will not have them during your stay". I stayed there on business and a couple of days for leisure. The hotel is located across the street from the Convention Centre so the locattion was great while I was attending the conference. This hotel was opposite the bus stop for the tour bus so very handy for tourists, it was a few minutes walk from a lovely sandy beach. Not a very large hotel. Close to metro. At the edge of the tourist attractions, about 15 to 30 minutes to get to any of the big attractions. But this is also good as you don't feel the crowd so much. Most of the reception help was very unfriendly and acted like you were bothering them by asking questions. Asked about information on bus tour and was given wrong information from 3 different reception clerks. Should have been given instructions on how to use panel in room that controls lights, air conditioning, etc. Used an adaptor that hotel gave […] me and it fried my flat iron. Had to throw it away. The bed was the most uncomfortable one I have ever slept on. Do not recommend this hotel at all. Hotel was nice and comfortable, but for those coming to Barcelona to see the major tourist sites in the downtown and old city area of town. although there is a Tram stop in front of the Hotel, it is still a hassle to get to Plaza Catalunya and the Rambla.

Nice hotel! great service. At the breakfast, they have a daily buffet with great selection specially the "Spanish Tortilla". Even the hotel is not in downtown Barcelona, you have the Metro very close, 1 block away, and the Tram is in front of the hotel, as well as the convention center and natural science museum.

On our arrival, we were greeted by a rude and unapologetic front desk staff. The others were however, friendly and fluent in English. Overall, the room was comfortable and clean and close to the Metro station, restaurants and shops and there's also a big mall which has discount stores and halal restaurant. Nice and clean hotel located so that you can enjoy walking along the beach all the way to the city centre. A shopping centre in the neigborhood. We got some mosquito bites during the night, so it might be a good idea to keep windows closed and instead turn on the AC. Excellent breakfast.

Diagonal Zero Hotel in Barcelona is a very nice and luxurious hotel that we recomend. We stayed there a week before and we had a very good experience. The hotel has large and comfortable rooms. Marble bathroom nice decorated which is separated from the room with glass on the wall!. It has also big sattelite tv and mini bar (but too expensive). Our room was cleaned every day. You only have to switch on the button next to the door that means "please make up my room". Large and comfortable beds with a selection of pillows. Excellent breakfast every day with a great variety of everything...fresh fruits (melon, watermelon, appricot, apple, grapes, kiwi, strawberries..), great selection of cheese, sausages, ham, bakon, hamon, spanish omelete, eggs, juices, great machine with a variety of coffe to select...Milk with sereals to select or tea. Also many delicious sweets for all tastes. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, all were very fresh and tasty. We also recommend the restaurant of the hotel. It is in the area of the breakfast and offers gourmet dishes of fresh fish and meat. It offers also dishes for those who eat low fat foods (healthy food restaurant with low fat ingredients). The hotel doesn't promote this restaurant and it is a pitty because it is excellent. If you want to relax there is a nice terrace with a fountain in the ground floor and onother one in the upper floor,(under the swimming pool floor ) where you can enjoy your coffe or your drink. The swimming pool is in the upper floor and it is a great idea to relax during the summer time. The hotel offers also a nice spa but we didn;t have time to visit. All the stuff of the hotel speak english and you will not have a problem of communication. The room looks sleek and modern, but the reality is poor quality and an AWFUL bed. I normally stay in 2 star hotels and have not had a bed as lumpy and uncomfortable as the one in this hotel. As I am frequent user of this site I also called to confirm this with the hotel a week before our stay. If we did not have the large separate tub I wanted to change hotels since this trip was for our 2 year anniversary/ late honeymoon. When I called the hotel to confirm they told me not to worry the rooms were all the same. The first room they sent us to did not even have a bathtub! The second room had mold in the shower caulking. we stayed there for a night (moving from Hilton next door where my husband was on a business trip) which was a mistake. To start with, the reception service was slow and funny - the lady insisted that my husband presents his passport instead of his EU ID as she did not recognise ID as a document. It was funny as that this the only way we travel for […] years now within Europe.Finally, she accepted the situation. The rooms we found very uncomfortable. The bathroom is in a glass cube and although there are white blinds that you can open, you still can see the person inside who is using the toilet or taking a shower. I guess that a lot of people will find this uncomfortable. All the lights and AC is managed with a touch screen. There is no shower cap and no slippers in the room. The most irritating things was that there is no booklet with information about the facilities and we wanted to use the jacuzzi before dinner. There is leaflet about the SPA, but it contains info only about the different procedures. We went to the SPA and a lady with very broken English explained that we need to pay significant amount if we want to use the SPA. We travel a lot around Europe and especially during the last years, the SPA use is usually free. At least, if you want to charge, make this information obvious in the room or tell the guest when they check-in. In the morning, we were awaken by banging on our dour by the maid and she opened, told us something in Spanish and shut the door violently. It was 2 hours before the check-out and I have no idea what was that visit for, but it managed to wake us up. In summary, we would stay away from this hotel, as for the price is not worthy. We did not like the service and the comfort of the room. Hilton next door was definitely a better option and the difference in the price was not that significant. This hotel is clean and smart and the staff are friendly. We booked this hotel aware that it isnt a central location which makes it quiet and you get lovely sea or city views. The hotel is really close to the subway so we didnt notice the distance. We also booked this hotel beacuse it had an outdoor pool and a spa, the spa area is clean but it smelt […] like a toilet and the spa water had brown foam floating in it- we spent 30seconds in it and then had to get out, thankfully the weather was amazing so we went to the beach to relax instead. Overall a good hotel for a weeks stay in Barca, good facilities, service etc. Breakfast was great as were the breakfast staff. The staff at reception pleasant ...room, while an executive, was disapointing ...minimal comfort, and the shower/ bath was hard to use as the glass did not move.

The staff is friendly and multi-language ( I personally heard them speaking English, Spanish, French and Russian), can give you useful hints what is the best way to get to the points of interest. Not impressed. Basic room, nothing special. Wants to be very modern & hip but most features did not work very well. Lobby was very dark to the point that it was nearly impossible to walk up the stairs. Took the room hours to cool down. Would not recommend. Good feature - on/off trolley stop is just across the street.

Hotel First thing you see is a construction site – Very off putting! Staff tried to speak English but it was very difficult for them to understand which made it hard to communicate I do not recommend the breakfast buffet if you are a vegetarian! Most of their selection was meat with scrambled egg NO beans or hash browns were available. Wide variety of bakery products great if you have a sweet tooth Other foods includes pancakes fresh fruit juices & hot drinks The Gym was spacious with up to date equipment The pool was tiny! But the view from the top floor was breathing taking but you could get that from any other hotel The spa was a good hour spent15euros for a Jacuzzi & sauna Room The Major downfall of the room was the view – construction site The bathroom does not have a lock so the privacy is gone!
