In central London, one should expect to dig deep in one's pockets to get an okay room. Or, alternatively, get a room with shared bath in narrow, old, typically British hallways. I got the same impression of this hotel at first, which is why I couldn't find the bathroom. But there was one in the room, only it hid behind the door - so no problem. The […] room was probably not even 8x8 and the bathroom was the smallest I've seen. If you have very broad shoulders you probably need to step out of the shower to turn around (I had to). And if you are obese, the bathroom might be a problem for you. And if you are very tall, not that the bed is small (both length and width). In this sense, it is nothing like an American spacious hotel room. You will need to pay 5x as much for one of those. Despite the size, I really liked it. The room was comfortable, had television and A/C as well as well functioning bathroom and wifi internet connection. And, which is not all that common, a couple of extra power outlets for charging your phone or computer or whatever. The location is great - only a short walk from the Tube (subway) and quite easy to find. And the breakfast (included in the room charge when I lived there) was fantastic: typical hot and full British breakfast (bacon, sausage, two-style eggs, toast...) with table service. I was impressed considering the small rooms. Also, for those looking for that British feeling - this is a good start. The whole building is built around a (slow) elevator and the hallways spiral upward in four floors with rooms all around. This is the typical British architecture with a couple of stairs here and there and very soft carpeting. It was all well taken care of, yet gives you the authentic feel without having to wrestle other guests when going to the shared bathroom (which is usually the case in smaller and/or non-luxury hotels in smaller cities). The room was small but the location was great for its price. It was close to the metro station and also the station to get on the heathrow express.

Negatives - Not enough room to swing a cat! I wasn't expecting luxury, but I was still somewhat bewildered by just how small the room was. I have wardrobes larger than the bathroom. This hotel is located right down the street from Paddington Station, with direct rail service to Heathrow Airport, and in easy walking distance to Hyde Park and Oxford Street. My room, a single, was very small but perfectly adequate. There is one elevator servicing the floors, but the stairs are quicker. You get what you pay for. The elevator is small. The beds are small. The bathroom/shower is smaller than one on a tourist bus. There isn't room for 2 people and luggage in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was good. This hotel is only a 2 blocks from the train station. Great location if you plan to travel through Heathrow: heathrow express is just around the corner. Nevertheless the room we got was very small and the same for the bathroom. The included breakfast did not have a massive variety but was good. WiFi included which is good and the service was quite good as well. The location and neighborhood are very good, but the rooms are tiny (!) with stained and date furnishings. One can do much better in London at comparable rates.

I arrived late in the evening and was not given the room I had requested, overlooking the park. Instead I faced a brick wall. When I opened the window for air I could smell the fried fish from the chip shop across the road - in cool weather, not hot. The bathroom smelled of urine, except one day when the maid did a better job of cleaning. I wasn't given […] all the coffee supplies every day. The breakfast was adequate but the one around the corner looked better. The location was the best selling point for this hotel, but next trip I'd look for another hotel that was just as convenient. The hotel was in a brilliant location, staff were very pleasant at all times. Quick check-in and close to shops, tube & restaurants. The only little negative I have was the noise from the fans outside the room but after a conversation with the manager this was going to be sorted later this year.

Room was too small. From the bed, I can do whatever I want to do. But the location seems perfect as a short stay. Small walk to hotel from Peddington station. Very convenient...

I mainly wanted to be close to Paddington Station, so that I could get to Heathrow fast and was not planning to be in my room other than at night. Given those requirements, the room was fine. Our ground floor room was very small, with barely any space around the bed ... let alone for 2 large suitcases. The window offered a view of the air con well, […] with a sliver of sky high above. Got to say though, that there was no noise pollution. Bathroom was funky ... a plastic capsule that seemed to have been inserted into the room. It was basic but provided everything you needed: toilet, small sink and small shower with good water pressure. Was like a bathroom on a boat. 部屋は小さいです。けどゆっくりと静かに過ごせました。レセプションの方の対応がとても良いです。

Svært lite rom. Gikk så vidt an å snu seg rundt på badet (jeg er liten og slank). Klødde noe helt sinnsykt på kroppen med en gang jeg la meg i sengen. Hyggelig personale!

Very noicy. Poor breakfast. Incredibly small room and no place to hang clothes. Fire alarm went off 05 am. Very helpful girl in reception only thing positive apart from location 100 yards from Paddington st.

Vi blev mycket väl bemötta när vi anlände ganska tidigt en fredagförmiddag och rummen var inte tillgängliga, vilket vi visste, och vi kunde utan några som helst svårigheter förvara våra bagage på hotellet. Jag åkte med min kompis på en fotbollsresa till London i Augusti 2011 och valde detta hotell baserat på tidigare gästers omdömen. Det kan ju i vissa fall vara missledande, men inte i detta fall! Hotellet ligger i ett lugnt område med många restauranger och pubar inom gångavstånd. Paddington Station ligger nära till hands och därifrån (Eller från Lancaster) […] är det nära till city. Plus: Välstädade rum Trevlig lobbypersonal (Om man pratade om cricket) Mysigt victoriansk hotellbyggnad Fräscha badrum Prisvärt Coola nyckelringar på rumsnycklarna :) Minus: I min smak lite väl enkla sängar Samma vanliga äckliga brittiska frukostbuffé (Men man kan knappt förvänta sig något annat i London) Något små rum (Vi hade ett dubbelrum på 3:e våningen) Små TV-apparater med dålig mottagning Över det hela taget är jag ändå VÄLDIGT nöjd med vistelsen.
