Niin tietysti pesutilatkin olivat huoneen yhteydessä ja suuremmat kuin laivan kylppäri :) Lapsia huvitti täkäläiset sekoitushanat . Lähellä n. 300-400m on metroasema (keltaiset ja vihreät linjat) ja hop-on-hop bussipysäkki sekä luonnon tiet. museo, johon vapaa pääsy. Ruokailupaikkoja löytyy kävelymatkan päästä paljon. Hotelli oli perussiisti. Palvelu oli erittäin ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Kylpyhuoneen kunto oli ainoa negatiivinen kokemus - kosteus ei kulkeutunut ulos, joten myös hometta oli kertynyt paikoin. Ei ollut ilmastointia (ellei sellaiseksi lueta niin vetäviä ikkunoita, että verhot lepatti...), ei ollut joka päiväistä lehteä (jota emme tosin kaivanneetkaan, mutta sellainen piti olla) , ei ollut vedenkeitintä, joka piti olla joka huoneessa. Olimme vaimoni ja 12-vuotiaan tyttäreni kanssa pitkää viikonloppua viettämässä Lontoossa. St. Simeon sijaitsee hyvien underground-yhteyksien varrella Lontoon varakkaampien ihmisten kaupunginosassa Kensingtonissa. Hotelli on kävelymatkan päässä Natural History Museumista (luonnontieteellinen), Science Museumista (teidekeskus) ja Victoria&Albert-museosta […] (taidehistoria). Useimpiin museoihin Lontoossa on ilmainen sisäänpääsy. Kensingtonin kaupunginosa tuntui muutenkin turvalliselta, ja iltaisinkin kaduilla uskalsi liikkua huoletta. Läheltä metroasemaa löytyy ruokapaikkoja ja kauppoja jokaiseen makuun. Hotelli itsessään ei vastaa samaa tasoa kuin suomalaiset hotellit, kuten eivät lähes poikkeuksetta muutkaan alle viiden tähden brittihotellit. Hotellin henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Saimme valita kahdesta eri huoneesta tilavamman, kotoisan vinttihuoneen, jossa oli TV ja mukavat sängyt - meille riittävä varustus, koska olimme kaikki päivät kaupungilla tai lähistön museoissa. Huoneen hintaan sisältyvä "full English breakfast" alkaa puuduttaa ensimmäisen päivän jälkeen, ja kunnon kahvia haluava joutuu turvautumaan lähistön Starbucksiin. Suht siisti, huone syksyllä hieman viileä,mutta peiton alla tarkeni! Aamupala Ok- hedelmiä sai huoneeseen. Todella turvallisen oloista, työntekijät serbejä- ihan mukavia . Cloucester Roadin- asemalta lyhyt kävelymatka. Lähellä Tesco, josta sai iltapalaa.

This is one of the more inexpensive hotel rooms in London, but it shows in the size of the room. A very tiny room and bed that would be very uncomfortable for anyone 6' or taller. Bathroom similarly very small. Light in hallway a distraction when going to sleep as the transom above the entry door was glass and did not have a shade over it.

Stayed the night at this hotel which was comfortable and adequate for our needs. Breakfast was an experience with seemingly endless plates of fruit and cold meats being offered by very enthusiastic and friendly staff. This was on top of a fry up, didn't need to eat for the rest of the day! Very helpful reception.

The location was very convenient for access to the tube/ museums around South Kensington. Room was small but very comfortable. Breakfast was very generous and it was great to have use of the kitchen for dinner in the evenings.

The hotel is located in a upscale neighborhood. It is an ideal base to explore London. The hotel is quite old but has been kept in good condition. Staff are great and love to feed you more than you need. Overall an ideal place to stay for a trip to London.

The stay at St. Simeon was very pleasing. We enjoyed our stay because they made us feel at home, especially when it was breakfast time. Breakfast was so good! We picked this hotel based on location, and that a full breakfast was included. The hotel is right off the Piccadilly line, which is the direct line to Heathrow Airport...being that is was our first time to London that was essential. on first entering the hotel all seemed well. when we were shown to our room. ( 4 bed family room ) we were took downstairs into the basement. Our room was next to the breakfast room & kitchen. The room was clean, but very small, which is normal for London. The hotel is very dated. The mattress was a bit worn and slightly uncomfortable. There was supposted to be internet avaiable in the lobby, but it was not working the night I was staying. Overall it is OK for a budget hotel in London.

Me and three friends had booked a four bedroom room from St Simeons to go to the Eurogamer Expo at Earls Court. When we arrived we were informed that our room was undergoing maintenance but were more than happy to split us to two rooms for no extra charge. The rooms were basic but not bad at all. The location was perfect as it is just a short walk to Earls Court and an even shorter walk to the nearest tube which takes straight into the heart of London. I lived in London for years knowing accomodation standard well,it didn't come as suprise the size of the room or the bed. at the same time we were going there just for a weekend,knowing we'd spend very little time in the room so it being small didn't bother us. bathroom was clean, shower super (great pressure, for London it's a wov!!! we were on ground […] floor though) staff is very helpful (although not much of smiley people), nice and willing to give you help with your stay (direction, suggestion etc); breakfast is huge and could sure fill you up for the whole morning. TV works fine with plenty of channels (no fancy stuff but can find good movies) dining room has TV and we used it for chat and drinks once back from our evening out. location is pretty good, close to the tube and a huge Sainsburys (supermarket),many places to eat nearby (head towards the tube or towards Earl's court) including pubs for a drink. if you are a "big" person be careful, our double bed was more like a big single one, not much of a problem for us but i know that many of the USA ppl visiting and writing on here might find it uncomfortable. I would just ask to renew the bath towel stock, some of them have clearly been washed too many times and are like sandpaper on your body. same with the pillows and the floor carpet, they've seen better days. this are small details, overall we enjoyed the place and we will sure consider it for our next weekend in London to see our friends. St. Simeon is a nice hotel in a very pleasant part of London. The staff were very helpful. Free Breakfast was excellent - a real surprise - and a solid start for a good days sightseeing. We also left an iPod which the staff found and helped to get back to us...nice to see honesty still exists!

Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was always huge and delicious. This hotel had a great location. Very close to the tube station and not too far from the Natural History Museum (a must see for families and it's free!) Don't expect the huge rooms and bathrooms many are accustomed to in North America but the sheets were clean and beds comfy.
