We were only staying one night on our way back to Sydney, but the Pavilion was very accommodating and close to all the restaurants and shops so perfect for what we needed. Our only issue was the central heating which could have been dialled up for the chilly autumn mornings, but aside from that it was a good, cheap option for what we needed.

The hotel is ideally located close to all attractions and on a transport route. The beautiful pavillion with its restaurant and bar is great after an exhausting day and the cafe breakfast is extensive. Thanks for a great stay.

We found the Northbourne comfortable and clean with a lovely inner space of greenery and a waterfall. The rate was good but it would have been nice to have the choice of a less expensive, perhaps more simple breakfast. We really enjoyed staying in this one-bedroom suite with separate lounge/kitchenette. The bed was very soft and there was a very roomy bathroom including a spa bath. The cost was a little more than I'd like to pay but there was very little available. The colour scheme is a bit drab but that does not detract from the comfort of the hotel. The staff were […] very friendly and the rooms were clean. If we wanted to watch the movie channel at night, we were restricted to odd timings of movies so I would recommend that the hotel set up a system available in most other hotels where you can select your option. Have stayed at the Pavilion frequently over the years, probably won't again. Can't understand why service staff stand around talking to themselves when they have people in their bar wanting to spend money. When I raised the matter with the staff (far more gently than would be the case with overseas tourists and business people) my comments were shrugged […] off as if I was the problem. The attitude drove us and friends to a bar and restaurant in another hotel. Awkward for us and our visitors! Lisätietoja

This hotel is clean and tidy and quite roomy. Unfortunately, the latest check out we can request is 11.00am (normally 10.00am). Most hotel I stayed will give to noon or 2pm.

the telephone in the room was not working but after a few requests it was fixed.

The hotel was visually pleasing to the eye, calming nothing like i'd ever seen before. It was nice and close to the CBD and all the many sights of Canberra.

Room quite small. No cabinet/drawer to store clothing

Friendly staff. Food good. Pleasant room but very noisy. Decided to stay second night and was promised same price. On checkout however, the clerk charged $10 dollars more. In spite of the price match less 10% guarantee in the room, she still would not budge. A growing queue behind me persuaded me to give in and pay. Not fancy, not new - but does the job at a decent rate - comfortable beds & decent showers - The large atrium is very nice - staff all seem friendly and competent.

On arrival elevator was broken, so had to carry bags to room. Room was decorated in 70's style. Bed sheets were over starched. Unfortuantely chose to eat in hotel restaurant. Starters and main courses were spoiled due to over use of salt and spices which runined the dishes. Sevice was sporadic.
