Hotellin toiminta kahdessa eri rakennuksessa tien vastakkaisin puolin ihmetytti kun check-in ja -out tapahtui kuitenkin samassa rakennuksessa missä majoitus. Henkilökunta raahaili matkatavaroita edestakaisin kadun yli ja muutenkin check-in oli vähän sekava prosessi ... Studio huone oli pieni. Ei pöytää, minibaari lattialla TV:n alla, käsienpesuallas […] sängyn vieressä. Huoneen ainoat kaksi todella kapeaa ikkunaa olivat yltäpäältä rappauslaastissa remontin jäljiltä. Hotellin ympäistössä on katujen kaivuutöitä ja muita remontteja meneillään. Hotelli ei sijaitse aivan South Beachin parhailla alueilla mutta kuitenkin kävelyetäisyydellä Lincoln Mallista ja itse rannasta. Hotelli oli erittäin mukava yllätys, siisti ja tyylikäs. Huoneet olivat puhtaat ja hyvin käytännölliset. Henkilökunta oli auttavaista ja yställistä. Hotelli sijaitsee vähän syrjässä vilkkaimmilta kaduilta, ja tällä hetkellä sen ympäristössä on meneillään paljon rakennustöitä. Hotelli on rauhallisella kadulla kivenheiton päässä Collins Avenuelta ja Miami Beachin rantahotelleista. Hotellin tunnelma oli rento ja henkilökunta reagoi nopeasti erilaisiin tarpeisiin. Meitä miellytti perhematkalaisina myös se, että hotellivieraat saivat joka päivä rantapyyhkeet ja lipukkeen aurinkotuoleja varten rannalle. Homma toimi hyvin ja rannalta […] löytyi joka päivä tilaa. Hotellin oma uima-allas oli vaatimaton, mutta se ei haitannut, kun rannalle meno oli niin helppoa. Huoneen hintaan sisältynyt yksinkertainen aamiainen tarjottiin allasbaarissa ja meille se oli ihan riittävä. Hotellihuone oli "apartment" (tai USA:ssa siis "studio")-tyyppinen, eli siihen kuului pieni keittiö kaikkine tykötarpeineen. Hotellin läheltä löytyi ihan oikeitakin ruokakauppoja, joten halutessaan pystyi kokkaamaan omat ruoat - jos niitä nyt lomalla haluaa itse valmistaa... Huoneen siivous toimi hyvin (myös astiat tiskattiin) ja kaiken kaikkiaan palvelutaso oli hyvä. Ilmainen langaton internet-yhteys oli meille miltei välttämätön ja senkään suhteen ei tullut valittamista. Ainoa asia, josta jouduimme huomauttamaan oli sohvavuoteen liian ohut patja, mutta siihenkin löytyi ratkaisu saman tien. Kävelymatkan päästä hotellista löytyy Lincoln Road Mall, jossa on ravintoloita ja kauppoja ihan joka lähtöön kortteli toisensa perään aina turistikaupoista merkkiliikkeisiin. Miami Beachin alue on turvallista, emmekä kohdanneet mitään ongelmia missään. Laajemmalla alueella liikkumista varten kahden korttelin päästä hotellista löytyy autonvuokraamo ja vuokrauksen voi tehdä valmiiksi vaikka internetistä etukäteen tai hotellilta. Auton pysäköinti hotellilla ja lähialueella on tosin maksullista myös hotellin asiakkaille. Hotelli tarjoaa myös maksuttoman kuljetuksen lentokentälle sovittuna ajankohtana ja tämäkin toimi myös käytännössä. The hotel was way more luxurious than we had expected at the price. It wasn't in the best immediate location but with-in a block of the art museum and 10 minute walk to restaurants like Havana 1957 and Miami Ink wasn't far either. My husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary in South Beach, and couldn't be happier with our decision to stay at the Riviera Suites. From the service to the decor, we were thoroughly impressed. The staff was friendly, helpful and seemed genuinely interested in making our celebration an experience to remember. The room had impecable details, […] and was spotless. Although the room was a bit small, it did not bother us, as a great deal of time was not spent there. We were in a studio suite, and would choose a larger room if we were planning to stay longer. No complaints, all in all. The walk to the beach was reasonable, we enjoyed taking in the sites along the way. Complimentary breakfast and happy hour from 7-8 were awesome perks at this hotel, we certainly appreciated them. The front desk was always courteous and helpful. The location was great. It was close to the beach and the local bus that takes you all the way down South Beach is only a couple blocks away. The room was very clean but small. We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed in one of the studio rooms and it was nice and cozy. Staff was excellent. Convenience store right around the corner w/ great food. Beach only a block away. On 20th street, so it's away from all of the party goers. It's also on the nicer part of Collins ave. If you get a studio room, make sure your comfortable w/ who you go with. Well, don't have a lot of expectations about this place. Definetely affordable for South Beach, but thats about where the story ends. The hotel has a new wing that opened that we were placed in. The room looked brand new, smelled like fresh paint, and was very clean in that regards. But some poor choices in layout. Like why put the sink in the main […] room, and not in the bathroom? Bad layout. The roof pool was not open yet, and the existing ground floor pool was like a tepid bathtub. Our room had a problem with lack of hot water in the shower, probably from the new shower knob not working. We changed rooms, but the staff was surly and unfriendly and annoyed that we would dare to complain. The lobby is tiny and just a bunch of couches. Nothing useful going on here. The only time anyone in the hotel hung out together is during the free happy hour drinks, when the line at the bar runs 10 people deep. Oh, and they only give you "select" choices for drinks--their selection. The hotel is a couple blocks from the beach, and there is free beach chairs included. The WIFI in the hotel is spotty. I dont think i would pay what i did for this hotel again, for a little more you could stay at another hotel nearby and get better service and a better experience. Lisätietoja

I was not happy the moment i walked in and spoke with someone from the concierge desk. I knew then, that I did not want to stay there, but I was not able to move my reservation anywhere else. When we walked into the nicely decorated and furnished, but very small room (studio), I noticed a hair ball on the shower floor (which was cracked; I could have […] re-grouted it better myself). I called for someone to clean it, and they never came… later on that evening (about 5 hours later) I called and two women came by. Thank goodness I brought my Lysol spray and wipes with me, because I had to clean out the shower and bathroom floors myself to ensure a clean space (the hair ball was moved from one side of the shower to the other). Not quite sure how housekeeping cleans, but clearly they don’t. Even the floors were dirty, I found that out the next day when I wiped the floor with a towel, cleaning up a small mess. Housekeeping never came the next day to clean our room, so I figured they just don’t clean until you check out or request to have the room cleaned. The pool area and the chairs on the front lawn were a nice addition. The construction out front was an eyesore. I will never stay here again, and suggest another hotel if you are going to pay 4-star prices, this hotel was more like a 3-star based on the overall service. I feel like i wasted my money. There was no free Wifi service in the room and the hotel's landline didn't work. The front desk said this was due to the room being recently renovated. No one had obviously inspected the studio room, and if should not have been rented out. Check-in took 1/2 an hour (I booked the room 2 hours before arriving at the property. The rate doesn't include […] the $34 bucks/day you'll need for valet parking. A positive: The property's within walking distance of the beach, but you're about 15 minutes away from the nightlife on South Beach. (Lots of clubs are located on Washington between 5th and 15th Street) Hotel consist of three separate buildings, so booking a room in the buildings with the check in and pool may be better than my experience. This hotel is exellent location just off the main noisy strip, the 3 seperate blocks are different. Watch out for the parking charges. $ 32 valet service , or you can park on the next block at $ 1.75 ph.Clean smart and friendly, offering a greta value on the busy and expensive south beach strip.

They hv two separate buidings for different amenities. Their wash basin is separate from their toilet in the rooms. They charge the same for their suites, studios and regular rooms! Bar opens late and service is below average. Their reception staff are accommodating and helpful.

Roadwork in front of hotel – bad first impression. Hotel consists of several buildings. Front desk person very nice and upgraded us to 1 bedroom suite. Elevator to get upstairs very tiny and slow. Room had large living area w/ kitchenette, dining table, nice features/furniture, large bedroom. Tried to use bathroom and noticed there was dried urine covering […] the toilet seat. Called front desk to let them know but they didn't send anyone to clean it. Also found all the door knobs to be not only dirty but have crust on them. Disappointing since this is normally a very pricey hotel - I got a big discount when I booked on Hotels.com. Bed was hard as a rock - I have no idea what kind of mattress it was but it didn't give when you laid on it - like sleeping on floor. Bedroom warmest room of the suite because I kept waking up hot until the air came back on again. Tried to catch the continental b-fast served poolside until 11 a.m., but they were already putting it away so I can't vouch for all that was offered. I did grab some granola cereal, coffee, fruit, and toast. Pool looked very tiny and shady, I doubt you can catch much sun there at any time. Took advantage of the free beach chairs, but had to check out and drive there because hotel is located on 20th, while beach area is between 17th and 18th. Also, valet charges another night at 1 p.m. On beach couldn't find the stand because it wasn’t marked. It was a decent hotel but I would not pay full price they charge. Lisätietoja

The pool area is very cute and comfortable! The hotel provided us with beach chair vouchers and beach towels. The beach is a short walk ( a couple blocks) from the hotel. Fun happy hour! Bartender was great.

Our stay was very comfortable and in close proximity to everything we wanted to do. Shopping, restaurants.....and YES the beach! For a boutique hotel in South Beach, I found the room to be recently rehabed and very clean. A few blocks off the beach, beach towels and beach chairs were provided. The pool is garden like and doesn't offer much sun. Hotel staff very professional and friendly.

If you want sun make sure you go to the beach. The pool is in the shade most of the day. The hotel staff was very friendly and always very accomodating to your needs.

Got upgraded to a suite and the room was amazing!!! Was a little frustrated that the sink did not drain properly and had a tough time at checkout due to language barrier with woman at desk. Otherwise, good overall experience, very much influenced by the room upgrade!
